Yup, I think we could do fine with out our pinky's and pinky toes though. Writing this here I have only used my pinky a few times.

Back before we started walking bipedally, when we were still living in the trees, they were for all practical purposes two extra thumbs. So evolutionarily speaking, yes, they are.

I voted no, because your big toes are NOT useless, however, they are ripoffs of thumbs. Your big toes do most of the balance work of standing, making them in fact, VERY useful :D
