No.
If you read something about UV light and plants you are correct but "Blacklights" dont put out the right kind.
Sweet so i could have that on in my room and it wouldnt mess up my plants during flowering?
FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND,,, THE ONLY LIGHT THAT WON'T AFFECT PLANT GROWTH IS A GREEN BULB.
Hey wats up up boyznus..i liked your picture you put up in the last thread of mine the buds were nice...how do you have your room setup?
WELL,
1: AN OLD FREEZER HARBORS MY ROOTED BABIES TAKEN FROM MY HOMEMADE E-Z CLONER. THEY LIVE IN THERE FOR 30 DAYS UNDER A BUTTLOAD OF 100W CFL'S IN 6" POTS. TEMPS SIT AT 81 DEGREES.
2: VEG ROOM IS 4' x 6'. THEY GET TRANSPLANTED INTO 1-3 GALLON POTS. I RUN 24 100W CFL'S AND A 4" INTAKE FAN AND A PASSIVE EXHAUST. TEMPS STAY BETWEEN 77 AND 82 DEGREES. THEY STAY THERE FOR 60 DAYS.
3: THE FLOWER ROOM IS A GUTTED TRAVEL TRAILER. THEY GET TRANSPLANTED INTO 3-5-15 GALLON POTS. I RUN 3 1000W HPS WITH 4" FANS IN EACH AIR COOLED HOOD. INTAKE IS PASSIVE. TEMPS STAY BETWEEN 69 AND 81. I HAVE A CONTINUIOUS HARVEST EVERY 30 DAYS.
I RAISE WW, HOG, SUPER SILVER HAZE, COTTONCANDY, (THE LIGHT COLORED BUDS IN THAT PIC), CALI BIG BUD, AND A STRAIN OF PURPLE.
ALL ARE FED 3 PART VITA GROW NUTES. WATER COMES FROM THE TAP AT 6.1 ph.
I THINK THAT ANSWERED YOUR QUESTIONS.
BEST OF LUCK
Wow man that sounds like a sweet ass set up...wish i could set up like that and have a continuios harvest every 30 days but i only have a 400 watt hps...kinda sucks
That isn't true. Green light is the only part of the Visible spectrum that wont effect the flowering hormone.Quote:

I THINK THATS WHAT I WAS MEANING TO SAY. WASNT THAT THE QUESTION? IF NOT,, MY BAD.
Oh, it might have been. IF so, i wouldn't suggest having anything on during the dark cycle.
I remember reading in the bible, that a green light or a black light was acceptable to be on during the dark period of flower, but that was the only light that was, and even then not for long periods of time.
READ WHAT WAS SAID.
GREEN LIGHT ISNT SEE BY THE PLANTS.
