80$$ Pipe?!?!

Alright ... I'm farely new to smoking...and I'm not 18...so I can't really go to a headshop to see for myself.

But my good friend gave me his pipe as a gift...
and now he wants it back...

And I told him to buy another one.....and I'll pay for the pipe....

And he told me that pipe cost 80$

It's a small ceramic pipe ... with this green spiral design over it...

I could just check online (and I will)..

but does that really cost fucking 80$$??!!

We don't know how much it should cost without seeing a picture of it, but $80 for a pipe is nothing out of the ordinary. Take a picture so we can see it. A small description like that doesn't help at all.

So he gave you this pipe as gift and he wants it back? Tell him to fuck off and quit being an indian giver. It was a gift, and if it really was a gift, then once the gift passed from his hands to yours, the transaction is complete, so I'd tell him to cram it. If he wants a pipe for himself, tell him to go buy one.

that shit is extremly unhealthy because the smoke reacts with the plastic. And releases toxins which can be poisonous.

If your friend is just being a asshole throw the pipe back in his face and go to a smoke shop and buy a new one. I bought my first pipe when i was 14 from a High Times headshop. The worst thing they can do is card you. If they dont let you buy one then either learn to roll joints or ask if anyone is trying to get rid of a pipe or bong.

if it looks like that its a complete rip off. it usually costs like $20-$30 for a pipe like that.

If its like a foot long gandolf type pipe or is really or a bubbler it could cost $80

Okay I reread your post, and you said small ceraminc pipe, so yeah, I'm guessing it shouldn't quite $80. Ceramic isn't even glass. I used to have this 2 ft tall ceramic bong, it was a piece of shit, but I paid $25 (CDN) for it, so for a "small" one, it probably didn't cost him more than $15-$20.

if he's 18, give him his piece back and give him 30 bucks to go to a headshop and get you your own new piece... try to go in with him and pick out one you like, but dont be an ass if they try to tell you to leave cuz youre not 18...

if that happens, hopefully you trust his judgement...

Yeah, without a pic it is hard to tell you. But go to the online shops and look at their prices for a similar pipe. I hate indian givers.

The jew thing is questionable too.

Indian giver is a serious question though. It is a very common term and nobody really seems to get offended. I would think it is best to end this now though before more people jump on the slur band wagon.

he could've been the one who got tricked.

what he said might be true although i dougt it. when u go into a headshop, the prices a WAY different then they are online. if his pipe comes up to like $50 online, then what he said is probably true.

He is prolly just say ign it's 80 because he wants it back and doesnt wanna sell it.

dude the chances of that being 80 bucks is from slim to none and i am pretty sure slim is on vacation so that means probably none.
