Ever get bored of smoking weed

Serious question... do you? or do you ever think about it and think this is getting boring same thing same feeling everyday

I remember when i first tried it i thought it was amazing (no doubt about it i still do) but it used to be a lot better than i think it is not, im sure you can all agree with me in saying that when you first used to do it it was a lot better and it was also good because you didnt need as much.

It good going out, doing things stoned, getting stoned with friends etc well (from my point of view) I used to do it every single day and i havent had any for the past 2 weeks (just on a short break) I didnt think i would be able to cope with it but its not as hard as you think it does get easier every day (its just the damn cigarettes that i cant give up now, not sure if i ever will be able to, btw anyone tried those patches do they do anything?? lol, back on subject...)

If im being honest with myself i used to confuse "wanting" weed with "needing" it i was an addict, and the first step is admiting it to yourself, I basically needed it every single day but i just kept telling myself that i wanted it, not needed it, it got to the point where i had to have weed to enjoy myself, otherwise without it everything was boring and life was just shit.

Now that ive managed to go these past 2 weeks without it, i dont think i want to go back to how i was (oh btw no offence to anyone who smokes it everyday at all) I dont "need" it anymore and at the moment i dont even "want" it, (because im saving up my money of course if i grew it i would be stoned as fuck every single day lol) but when i start smoking it again i would probably just want to do it once or twice a week which isnt that bad really in my opinion.

The bad thing about it is if you buy it all the time, and get really bad on it you realise that you end up spending all or most of your money on it and it sort of puts your life on pause because you cant buy anything real that you would appreciate more like a car or a house for example.

like the saying goes you control the drug dont let the drug control you or you abuse the drug dont let the drug abuse you something along those lines lol

Anyway i just wanted to get that out, thanks for anyone who read through that and if you just posted pretending to read but you really didnt then you know what fuck you :) lol

real talk right there, i recently took a break too.. not for those reasons but kinda for those reasons, i wanted to get my tolerence down, save up some money, and i needed to clear my lungs up... i went two weeks without and then on saturday i blazed it and the high was so much more intense... i wish every high could be like that... and i agree i sometimes get bored of gettin high everyday and shit... it was nice to take a break and im still gonna be on the break, im gonna try to be a weekend smoker...

Thats EXACTLY how I feel... i couldn't have said it any better.
But i don't think I'm gonna stop anytime soon... For some reason I can't stop myself from reaching for the bong numerous times throughout the day... I guess i just love it too much.

Personally, weed has just gotten better and better as the days go by. When I'm doing my normal routine I prefer to be functional and not OMGWTFXBLAZED so my tolerance helps me. That aside, I do miss smoking one bowl and getting blitzed from a financial viewpoint.

Yes, I am bored, other things have changed my mind, I really no longer hold cannabis as a holy substance like I used to, I do enjoy smoking but Id rather live my life and get it fixed first

I agree, I've recently cut back on smoking(now a "weekender") and have realized that I don't miss it as much. I also don't like getting blazed outta my mind, I really just smoke enough to chill me out(the same with drinking, i ABHOR hangovers and don't drink nearly as much as I smoke). Now on a blue moon, I will indulge and smoke/drink a bit b/c I like the buzz I get from this combo, but overall I try to keep things in moderation....To each his own, but I like it better this way.

i became bored for a little while also, what helped me was cutting back alot on how much i smoked a day. I was smoking a 8th a day at one point and after about 3-5 months of that i took a month break and started smoking a few bowls on the weekdays and go all out on weekends definatly has helped alot. I also workout an hour a day now also, that has helped with my tolerance getting too high.

That's what you get for smoking every day. In everyone except medical users...that is known as abuse and it will eventually catch up to you.

Yah same, i only smoke on nonschool days now. That includes friday nights and of course snow days or holidays. Usually no more than 2-4 times a week tops.

i think most refer to boredom because you dont have enough ways to smoke it, a joint will only get you so high no matter how big it is, a few rips from a pipe or bowl\bong will get you even higher.

a vape will also help you out as you have many ways to smoke, eating will get the job done too.

many things give you a different high just try a new method

I think you just inspired me to take a break. I've smoked numerous times a day for quite a few years now and I really can't remember what it's like to be completely clearheaded. I'll admit I have a problem, so I think a well deserved break from smoking is past overdue.

Even smoking once a day gets old for me, I find I slowly appreciate it less and less until eventually the act of lighting a bowl is so mechanical its little more exciting than brushing my teeth. Havent smoked for a week now and liking it

Yeah, sometimes it's nice to take a week off. I find I never get bored with smoking or with the high, just what I end up doing after I get high. I have a broken leg right now and a lot of the time I just get blazed, then sit and think for a while. I wish I could be out skiing, or walking, or working out or something. I'm on my second day of a week long break right now :D

I used to get the same way and it bothered me for a while, so I started smoking some real good strain weeds and it solved my problem, but now I limit my weekday smoking due to welding school. But the weekends are nice highs!

Well bro you have to do whatever you think is best for you. before i started smoking i had issues with depression (not to the point where id kill myself like some emo faggot, but still). Whenever i stop all that shit comes right back and it's all i can to last until i can get another sack.

ive smoked everyday for about three years, since my senior year of high school. i used to have an anger problem, but the buddha has helped me calm down and just chill and let the unimportant things slide...but now i might be at the point where im letting too many things slide. i guess everyone has to find the balance that works for them

im bored with it also ... but i dont think i will stop anytime soon ... i sometimes really do need it because im so stressed out and prozac zoloft have never taken away my anxiety the way pot does ... and i feel like id rather just do that then be on all these meds

couldent have said it better myself. i just went 1 whole day without smoking im takin a little break for the same reasons as everyone else im fairly sure i can do it

I think the best thing for anyone to do when bored with marijuana is to chill out and introspect for a while. I'm preparing myself to take a "Lent-long" break as I'm calling it. I'm quite spiritual and religious, despite my love for Mary haha. Long story short, I'm going to stop for 40 days, as Jesus suffered for us... blah blah, you get the picture. I guess I'm looking forward to it becuase I know once its over I will feel empowered and in control of marijuana, rather than being under its spell (which has been my story for a few months now). I'm also looking forward to being able to live clearminded and sober. Somtimes a break is much needed for many smokers. So don't let it take you down, just chill out for a while and see where life takes you. Eventually you'll come back to it, becuase its awesome. :D

I've gotten bored of bud before. That's when I started doing coke. (Oh QQ I stopped) So getting bored of the ganja was for the worst. Nowadays I live life with weed as a very welcomed guest on my weekends.

I love weed but i think its good to take a break for like a week every little while. And i totally agree that it's way better when you first start. I've only been smoking for like a year and a half but i really miss the way it was when i first started. When i started i'd only do it like on the weekend or even every second weekend, and i'd really look forward to it. I still love smoking weed but i think unfortunately it's lost some of it's novelty.

i didn't read this thread all the way, but i feel that way when i wake and bake everyday for a while. Im glad school started up even though its tough, it makes me wait until about 2pm on schooldays to smoke. Besides that i can enjoy the WAB.,

If i find myself bored with smoking, i just take a small break, or smoke better shit.

I know for a fact getting high is no where as near as fun as when I first started out but there hasn't been one point in my life ever where I thought being high or smokin weed was boring. I mean it just changes your whole perception about anything and unlike most repetitive activities and stuff every time you do it there is something that's different than the last time, rather it be because of a different strain of smoke or w/e, there is always fun in smoking weed :).

Personally, I think there is a strong stigma put upon weed from a hundred years of propaganda that needs to be stopped. I drink green tea every day. I go through one or two kettles by my self. However, I never feel that I'm getting addicted to green tea, or that It is somehow changing my life. Now, Marijuana has been proven to have absolutly no harm done to your body, so then why do people differentiate it from tea or coffee? Its absolutly ridiculous. Some people enjoy eating chocolate everyday, or having a cup of coffee, whereas some people enjoy smoking or consuming marijuana. There absolutly nothing wrong with marijuana! I hope I am not insulting anyone. I'm just simply trying to say that the sooner you realize how simple marijuana is, the sooner you will be able to enjoy it more.

I don't condone smoking more than once a day, even once a day i'm kind of iffy. I mean if you lead a normal life (wake up, get ready for work, work 8 hours, come home), you should only really have one smoking session a day IMHO, or less. I smoke about 2-4 times a week. Last couple weeks, not much at all.

The key is to listen to your body and be aware of your surroundings. If your body is saying "give me a break," take a break! If you look around and weed controls every facet of your life, take a break!

If not, keep tokin! Everything in moderation boys and girls!

First time I tried, I got sick to my stomach and passed out5 mins. later. Prob cus I smoked half a joint. I don't get bored of smoking. I've had to stop on occasion due to lack of resources/money. I used to smoke a half a week, now I smoke a lot less, and get sooo high when I do. If I had the money, I'd prob pick up where I left off.

The appeal of smoking weed absolutely slowly diminishes over time. The more you smoke and the more frequently you smoke, the more and faster the appeal will diminish. Taking breaks is key. Even if you toke 5x a day, you should find a single day break very satisfying.
