got stopped by police and found my weed!

Sup. I just got stopped by police and found my weed about 45 minutes ago(im at home now). Just me and my friend. He was going to try weed with me for the first time in his life. We havent smoked ANYTHING YET. So we were driving, and as a police car went by us, me and him made eye contact for about 3 seconds. He stopped us and proceeded to ask us if we have any drugs in our car, we lied and said no, then he searched and found about a gram and a half. We talked and talked, then said if i dont wanna be charged, i gotta tell him the address of the guy i buy from. I dont wanna be a snitch, cuz not only is he my dealer, but we are good friends. Cop told me i got one week to tell him my dealer's address or he will call my parents. If i decide not to tell him, after a week can i still be charged for possesion of marijuana? He told me if i do get charged, i'll be going to juvie. Anyone can tell me what juvie is like? What you guys think i should do??

cops cant do that shit, why did he even pull you over? because you made eye contact? why did you even let him search your car? do you know anything about the law???

did the car smell like pot or was there pipes or pot visible?? did u even commit another traffic violation or did he just pull u over because of the eye contact??

im not tooooo familiar with the law but depending on ur answers to those questions he may have illegally searched ur car....some1 who is more informed in this area plz confirm or deny my notion

Cop as NO RIGHT to search your car unless you give him permission. Unless you break the visibility rule (paraphanalia weed whatever out in the open), smell, or your visibly intoxicated.

Also he has to have a reason to pull you over. Eye contact is bullshit. You may have been subject to an illegal search AND stop. WE need more details if you want help. Very specific details.

really?? Wow, sh1t, i didn't really know anything about that. I DIDN"T do anything but make eye contact with him. Nothing was visible, but i think he saw me nervous because after the eye contact, i drove a little bit faster(not over the speed limit) but making turns into streets faster trying to avoid him. I've never been pulled over, even handcufffed, which he did. Edit: Also, my front license plate was hanging, it wasn't straight, you had to tilt your head to see my license plate, maybe that was why?

Someone please bust it out or tell me what its called. I have a feeling this is exactly what he needs to see.

you could sue over that i think. but those things you...the eye contact and the sign, still are no reason to be pulled over. IF he did pull you over for that then he wouldn't of wanted to search your car or ask you if you ahd drugs. he would just say fix your plate and go on.

its a must watch, it literally saved my life a few weeks back and it will do the same for any fellow stoner sometime in ur life. the first 22 minutes are the biggest, just watch it 2 or 3 times and memorize everything the kid says in the second scene. IT WILL SAVE YOU!!!

my friend was dealing he got caught with a quap..he was 17 he had 3 other kids in the car who were all 18 and he got lawyers and went to rehab for 6 months...actually enjoyed it...nothing happened to the other kids in the car...they got questioned and they proceeded to rat each other out so stories got all twisted and my friend fell..he was lucky he was 17...hes 19 now and clean

That is illegal search and seizure I beleive, and that evidence can not be used against you in court.

It's not illegal, the kid let the cop search is car. That was a stupid choice.

It's really fucking bullshit that you're even considering snitching on your dealer. that could get him in a lot of shit. You sound kind of young so I'm going to break this down for you:

Cops like to play little head fuck games with kids, meaning they will tell you this and that to scare you. Like someone said before, if he was going to do anything to you he would have done it on the spot. He had no right to stop you, and he knew that, thats why you didn't get arrested. He told you to tell him where you got the pot from and you would get off. That is called plea barganing, and he was in no position to do that. I was not there but from the sound of your story he was obviously trying to scare you and it worked, wonderfully. Long story short the cop was bullshitting you. Don't sweat it. You lost your bud, not your freedom.

no, he can search the car without asking. i got arrested in september and they didn't ask to search the car, if they got proboble cause they can go right ahead. i even asked my lawyer if it was an illegal search since they never told us why they were searching the car and that we didn't give any permission. he said it doesn't matter. proboble cause...........is fucking gay

uh, being arrested gives him the right to search you and your belongings. the person who made thsi thread wasn't arrested, he was pulled over. And being pulled over is does not give the right for a search.

Ok, first of all, that cop violated your rights. You could have told him not to search your car, because he had no probable cause to search your vehicle. I think you will still be charged with possession, but that's because you didn't stick up for your rights.

DO NOT SNITCH. Just because you don't know your rights, your dealer has to go down for your mistake?

All I would have done was simply asked why I was being pulled over, then asked on what grounds was he searching my car, then VERY politely stated that his reason was not enough for me, and that I am very anal about people going through my personal things/car/whatever.

They can't do SHIT.
