Best lighters to use for toking

My friend says that Zippo lighters are the best. Traditionally I just use bics. I'm thinking about buying a Torch lighter of somesort. But my friend says they suck and a zippo would be better to get. I'v heard Zippos Hurt ur lungs on bongs or pipes. and I use those types of things and smoke joints every once and a while.

so yeah should I get a Zippo or a Torch based lighter. or maybe just stick with the bics but I'd rather have another lighter just incase something happens. Likely a decent refillable one.

Zippo is the worst lighter to use, torch lighters are ok, but a bic is the basic. You should try using wood matches, you can taste the differance.

There is only one lighter that should be ever be used for toking......

see ive tried telling the the diff between dif kinds of lighters and i just cant seem to notice any difference....but yeh i use bics anyways cuz they cheap and reliable

Zippo's run on refined petrol, not gas. The have a horrible smell, and taste. Yes, you can taste the fuel on your cigs/bud.

Zippo's arnt built to be good, they're built to look cool, and they do.

But damn, there no good for any form of bong/hookah, and really, they're are just no good to smoke weed with. I mean, unless you want your weed tasting like petrol. Gas lighters dont have the flavour because all the fuel gets burned, or enough so that you cant taste it.

I cant remember if i gave the reason Zippos are no good for bongs and pipes, so here it is; Light a Zippo and try holding it upside down. What happens? The flame just goes into the holey part, because it's a wick burning. There's nothing being forced out at high pressure, unlike gas.

I use any old ligher i have laying around.

Only buy a Zippo for the look, not to actually use, especially with bud.

I'd advice you to get a torch ligher. But even then, they waste a small amount of THC, as they're so hot they destroy some fo the THC and CBDs. Obviously you'll still get high though rofl!

Bic is where it's at. I have on one occasion used a zippo, and you can literally taste the fluid.

Haha today I used a match to light a candle and smoked from the candle, with a home made bong. Damn I am high.

BICs are the best, IMO. Most reliable and long-lasting. The childproof metal piece is a bit of a hassle...but not too bad & easily removed.

Torch lighters are the best for windy conditions (i.e. snowboarding, etc).

oh.. i see what a 'torch lighter' is now..

we call those 'turboflames' - you COULD smoke crack with them, but thats not what they are for, alot of people use turboflames to burn ropes and lines and stuff for fishing, not because they are wind-proof (they arent) but because they burn so hot, by the time the wind does blow them out, they have done there jobs.. good lighters, but i dont smoke with them, to dangerous when stoned...

I stand by the Clipper, its re-fillable/re-flintable and when you turn it up-side-down, the flame gets bigger, which is usefull when you smoke bongs all day long.. plus, clippers are customizable, i used to have one that had a blue metal collar, a cricket wheel, (lights everytime) a crazy paint job i did myself, it actually said 'ripper' not clipper, i put it inside half a used shotgun shell, (usefull for opening beer bottles) and a hole through the spine to attach it to a chain, it was perfect.. unfortunately i lost it.. which sucks..

anyway, my first choice would be a clipper, if not cricket, then bic, then any other disposable..

BICS are the best. They last until all the fuel is gone, they don't crap out, they're cheap and they work good.

im a bic man also its kinda cool to toke with propane (bic=butane) propane is in my stove and its kinda tricky but in the lack of a lighter you can smoke off of a gas stove!

alright. heres what I got. I bought a red and black 6$ torch lighter. and then I bought 2 large bics and one mini for when I'm on the road lol

gotta be bic.. ive used a zippo once because it was the only lighter we had... that was one of the worst bowls that ive ever smoked and hope to never have to resort to that again..

I've never really messed around with much... I like BIC's, cheap, easy to find, they last forever, and they come in so many colors!

I'll like joints/blunts with a zippo, but it's too hard to light a bowl/bong with them, and it tastes funny.

Haven't tried anything else myself.

Hands down, BIC lighters take the cake for me.

I think Bic wins the majorit vote, they are the best because they're cheep, work, and are color coded so you know which one is your when they are being passed around the cirlce.

Torch lighters burn your weed to hot hell. Zippos hardly burn your weed at all. But a simple BIC can lift you wonders.

I use what ever I can get. Just as long as it's a lighter it works for me lol. But I prefer Bic's because the flame size is perfect and it never changes even when there is only a little bit of fuel left and they are very, very easy to flick.

I use just a normal clipper they are great, they are refilable and they have a pokie and they dont make the spliff taste like shit like zippos do:S5:

BIC for one main reason. they are cheap. i always lose my lighters/ they get taken by dirty smokers so there is no point in paying a shitload of money everyweek to buy a new zippo. plus they suck.
