hmmm, i've had strawberry cough... wasn't pink... i want some pink bud now.... i'll trade ya green for pink!
Flavor and color are not really related.
Yeah, bluemoonrocks looks and tastes a bit lavender but that doesn't mean anything.
Usually purple strains are on the crap/boring side... there ARE exceptions... you have to choose carefully.
I was recently able to try some bud called purple ill... not sure what it was, and i haven't been able to find any information on it... it was deffinity
purple though... and kinda sweet...
mite b a cross of sum sort ? a lot of strain s n colour s we don t get around hear , many thanx
The pink is caused by CFL lighting. I read this on Volker's thread and to my surprise noticed it happinging in some of my buds. Like Stinky mentioned it is not related to taste. Bree
When a normally-colored cannabis plant shows any color BESIDES green, it is caused by the chlorophyll breaking down and exposing the other -phylls.
This is the same reason that cold temps tend to turn buds purplish, and the reason maple trees turn red in fall, and the reason nitrogen-deficient plants go yellow.
It's just the chlorophyll being destroyed and not replaced by the plant.
very true stinky... its just that green happens to be the dominant color of plant matter... so when that plant matter is healthy and growing... it is green.
ive heard of them turning purple , threw a lack of sum nuit s , many thanx
Nitrogen def... at the end of flower... but only if the plant produces the 'purple-phyll', not just the 'yellow-phyll' lolQuote:

i heard that weed can go prup if it gets cold, what you think about that Stinky?
Or is that true if it has inherent purple tendencies?
Both true.Quote:

If the plant inherently has the ability to make the purple pigment, cold temps will promote the visiblity of the purple color.
makes you wonder about what all can effect the flavor and color... not just the high.
my buddy just brought this over,
look s sweet as mate ,i hope there r a couple of seeds in there lol many thanx ........
so it's grand daddy purp. unfortunately no seeds.
the purple stuff is usually heavy indica stuff or sometimes a plant that's been left in the cold. good for couch lock!
I had a 8th of "purple anthrax" on monday. the taste reminded me of grapes, and the smell was unique, cant really say what it smelt like, but it was VERY dank. a load of crystals, more green the purple, but when you broke it down, and rolled a j, the purple out colored the green.
i actually got this 8th for free from my dealer to try out. it was only 3 grams as she weighed it on the freeway, but it was good
