WW and diesel kush cab grow 2nd-10th week flowering

Hey, I've decided to resume my cab grow log in this forum because it's easier to manage my pictures around. Anywho, specifications:

Vegged for 3 weeks under a 250W MH, currently in my flower section under 400W HPS, day 13 week 2 looking awesome (getting a bit tall).

Proper ventilation for now, one small fan facing upward blowing air out of a vent, over the weekend I'm adding a carbon filter with a 180 CFM to pull air out.

Using the Grotek 3-part nutrient system, Bloom, Grow, and Micro. The plants are in 3 gallon circular pots, I give them 1 gallon ph balanced water mixed with the proper amount of nutes and a 1/4 tsp of superthrive.

The strains are White Widow and Sour diesel x Pure Kush, grown from clones I recieved from a medical co op.

The white widow is about 2 and a quarter feet tall, the diesel kush is about 2 and a half (I don't know how big it's going to get but I only have a good 8" left of vertical space.

Also, I think it's nute burn or some kind of def. But im leaning toward nute burn on this one (leaf pic 4)

Awesome grow! I am a little worried that you are gonna run out of room or possibly burn your plants with only 8 inches left- is that 8in from the light or 8 in until they get too close to the light? Also - how many leaves are like that on your plants (pic 4)? I doesnt look like nute burn. I think that it might be temp related. Have you had a good temp reading close to the lights? If you are only 8" away from the 400W and those leaves are near the top of your plant then you might be burning them. Kush varieties can be a little touchy sometimes - they don't like temps over 80 during flowering. Are the tips curling under a little or appear black? That's a dead giveaway. The plants look great though for real. Keep up the good work!

The plants have about 8" until they reach a danger zone, which is about 1" from the light. Theres 3 lower leaves but they are big, and one uppear leaf thats just yellowing. The temps are usually between 72 to 78-9 ish.

Ok, so I cut the leaves off because I was reading someone elses post that had almost exactly what I had, and it was mold. I left 1/4" at the stem of the leave off the stalk (someone said to). More pics later tonight.

Hey all, sorry for the delay, just got my mold under control and such. Week 3 flowering / Day 20. The plants are looking way healthier now, but i'm afraid the top of the main cola on the taller plant has been burnt. I just ordered a 160 cfm inline duct fan and will install it and ducting in a few days. Should reduce the temp between the plant and the light. The last picture is of the taller plant cola, see the lines down the leaves and the brown hairs already? Either my plant is progressing insanely fast or that bitch is nuked. Cheers :S5:

Your doing a good job homie. Unfortunatly the top bud is suffering from heat stress. I cant even see the bud that clearly but you can tell by looking at the associated leaves. The tips look a little cooked and even the middle of the leaves look a little fried. The fan should help out a great deal - you will be suprised at the difference it makes. Also - GH makes a foliar spray called "chi" that might help keep the plants a bit shorter and more heat resistant. I have not used chi however - you might want to search the posts and see if anyone else had great results with it. Keep up the good work!

thanks dude, i ordered the 160 cfm fan on the 5th, it shipped today so it should be here around monday. The heat stress is actually not from temps, its from the fungucide spray I sprayed on them, I guess I underestimated the time it takes for the plant to dry off before the light comes on. So the top is a bit burnt, it looks like the vertical growth is nearing an end on the colas and soon I think their gunna fatten the hell up within the next 3 weeks. The yellowing has ceased a little bit also. I wanna put molasses in with the next feeding, does anyone know the amount per gallon? I'll take pics over the weekend, the battery on mine died and I can't find the charger. Cheers :rastasmoke:

this used to happen to me and i'd put a drywall screw in the rim of the pot -n- lasoo plant w/ a piece of yarn n bend it over and tie it off to the screw . go to search and read up on -> low stress training or LST .

yo crispi i thought that LST should only be done pre flower?? Most of everything ive read about it suggests pretty much pre flowering. Like I said though its not constant on the top of the cola, its because i sprayed some fungicide on it and the lights fried the liquid on the leaves, but the temps are between 78 and 80 in peak hours (right before the lights go off), so theres no ongoing stress. Next grow I will definetaly LST way early on to prevent stuff like this from happening :rastasmoke: peace

Day 27, end of week 4. some buds dont look too well, with the mold still slowly spreading (I've done everything possible to stop it but I think its too late). Pretty rapid yellowing even though ive boosted the nutes and soaked them with fungicide. White Widow buds look alright, it's the leaves near them I'm worried about. The taller hybrid kush plants lower buds look relatively unharmed, but the leaves are turning yellow and then curling up because of the mold. The fan will probably come tomorrow, so the room will be cooler with lights on and have way more circulation. Any suggestions on how I can pull these things through at least a good 7 weeks before chop? They are starting to form lots of chrystals and buds are getting fatter.

Check it out homes. Lets theorectically believe you might be in socal. Let me tell you something - its big time mold season around there dude. Be here is what you have to do.
The mold - you must remove all moldy leaves(If there are a shitload - you at the very least have to trim the moldy parts off - the rest of the leaf will proabably end up molding later but at least you have something to use photosynthesis for the next couple days) The spray works best as a preventive medicine - serenade is good but its preventive and only lasts a week. Forms little white crusties on the leaves when its baked on under the lights - so you can see that it dries out quickly - especially in a grow room with high temps and less than sufficient circulation.
Step 2 - Spray serenade. - Get a small dehumidifier if you can.
Step 3 - You gotta get the fan in there ASAP
Step 4 - Tie that big top bud down. I think what crispy is talking about is...
1. tie a knot around a good spot below the top of the bud - maybe like 6 or 7 inches down from the top. 2. take a nail - drive it into the rim of your pot 3. Take the other end of the string and ::gently:: pull that bud down - then tie the end of the string to the nail. Looks like you "lassowed the top and pulled it over." That is kinda like LST - but LST is more about bending and pruning during veg. You will make it to seven weeks dude! I will post some pics soon with the same strain growing in hydro. The fan will help more than you can imagine. Socal has wierd mold issues this time of year.

One more thing. It is hard to see whats going on with the plants - it looks like you are taking pics with the HPS on right? Please turn it off and take them with the room's natural lighting if you can - people will be able to see more of what is going on and help you.

Hopefully the fan comes today... Im gunna tie the top bud down tonight and I looked, The mold is spreading pretty radiply now, I have a fan going 24/7 and a dessacant dryer sitting in there. I dont know if they will ever recover.

You only have 3 weeks to go and you spent alot of time growing it already. You will make it to week 7 at least. Think about it - only two more weeks of nutes, then the final flush and you are done!You actually want the leaves to turn yellow and fall off during the end of flowering. Its a sign that the plant is taking nutrients from the leaves and putting them into the flowers. If you look at some pics of trees that are almost done, almost every leaf is yellow - especially near the bottom but usually on or near the buds also. Are you absolutly certain without a doubt that it is mold? Did you add some potassium to your mix? The plant uses a shitload of potassium during flowering - magnesium supplements are good too. If it is mold for SURE, just trim the leaves. I live in socal also and just had to do the exact same thing that you are doing - thats why I am confident that you will be fine after a good trim You will make it man, I promise. Once you cut it down then you have to worry about mold during the cure. The fun never ends eh?

Good guess, I do live in Socal, any way, I trimmed some of the mouldy leaves and the fan FINALLY got here! Im going to wire it all in tomorrow afternoon. Upon closer inspection the kush plant is starting to purple a little bit (more or less from the cold temps at night. I took some non-lighted pictures to better illustrate the top cola of the kush (tall) plant.

First of all - thank you for posting those pics - It is much easier to see what is going on! Ok. The top bud looks a little crispy but holy shit it looks like there is a lot of good buds underneath! The color of the leaves is normal for week 6 of flowering. In the next few weeks, expect many to wither and die - its all good. At this point, the plant does not need any more nitrogen. Just some P and some K (0-1-2) and dont over do it. Its kinda funny actually about the mold - I think that the exact same mold strain was chillin on my plants. Looks like my leaves did. Fuckin mold.
Anyway, I was medicated and misplaced my camera somewhere around the house. As SOON as I find it, I will show you my plants. I feel like an asshole for not posting them already. Peace.

Haha "medicated", someone is a fan of weedtracker.com?? haha its ok dude I know how it is. Its actually day 1 week 5 now and im going to lowes later this afternoon to get ducting. This mold is such a bitch but I'm glad I could get it SOMEWHAT under control before I had to scrap the whole project. More pics though (ill update every other day because I finally charged it).

Wow.. it turned purple, I didn't know it was THAT cold at night. I thought it was some kind of gross mold but its just purpling with heat stress marks so it looks like shit. I think im going to put the fan back on with the lights so it doesnt get too cold. Anyways, day 26 week 5 going steady for now.

sorry to hear about the mold. my first grow turned purple too from low temps. my temps got down to 22 during the dark period for a few days in a row. but still came out good. so dont worry you will make it all the way to harvest as long as you keep the mold under control

oh yeah and mushrooms started to grow in 2 of them around week 4-5

Week 5 day 34 today. I had to take some of the extremely brown dead moulded leaves off (which were a couple of the sun leaves). I fed last night with a tsp of molasses. The time is coming to where I'm going to have to pick 2 more clone strains for my second grow, does anyone have any kush reccomendations (they have somewhat of a variety of kushes)? Week 7, day 46 Looking purple

Hell yeah man! You made it to week 7! That shit looks so frosty! You are doing awesome! When are you planning on flushing, harvesting, etc.? Probably soon eh? Isnt this your first grow? Holy shit you must be feeling incredible right now! You are about to pull down your first crop of the stanky dank! How is the smell in there by the way? It has to be wonderfully disgusting - stinking of diesel. On my first grow, I grew the stuff out pretty well but I dried it too fast and didnt cure it right. Fair warning - once you chop it be sure to take extra care during the drying/curing process or that beautiful dank you just grew will taste like harsh lawn clippings. You the man homie!!!

Well for one, I believe I can push a little more weight out and I also need to start flushing today so that at minumum will take like 7 days. So at aruond 56 days I think if they are looking nice and fat ill pull em. I said 9 or 10 weeks mainly for the white widow because Ive heard of some taking a lot longer to flower.

When you do decide to harvest please post weight, smoke report etc. I am very curious to see how everything turned out. So - what do you think youll grow next? I am going to start with seeds next round and look for some nice mothers. I also have a breeding project planned - we'll see what happens. I like the cannabis.com community a lot and I plan on posting here for awhile. There are other sites where more people will look at your grow but I like the small community feel that we got going on here. Aight then.

He harvested already. Got about an ounce from WW and something like 18 grams from the PK. I think that is correct. But I do know he harvested.

I'll let him comment on the smoke report seeing as I dunno how it is exactly, but from what he said sounded nice.

Sorry dudes, the final dry cut weighed in at about 21 grams for the Diesel kush and about 29 for the WW. Both are EXTREMELY frosted and killer potent, the WW moreso.

pure kush x sour diesel

-smell: excellent sweet cherry / lemon disel
-taste: A hint of spice and whole lot of fruity

buds are almost 80% beautiful deep purple

white widow

-smell: fruity skunk type of scent really pungent.
-taste: piney with an undertone of fruity.

This weed is by far the best and smoothest bud ive ever smoked. go SB 420!

I now have four clones and two seedlings going, 2x Og kush, Manza, and Swerves posionberry. The two seeds are bagseed I got from either sour kush, og kush or mango kush. They sprouted and are growing under a 250w MH with proper conditions and are growing extremely fast. I'm probably going to start a new log when the plants get a little bigger.Thanks to all for the suggestions and comments. smoke weed :rastasmoke:
