How about "L". I assume its another term for a joint.

L is a blunt. A J is a joint. B is technically a bowl but nobody ever says "b".

The original meaning of L is an L skin joint, but like most things, it's been changed by these gangsta kids and supposidly it now means blunt... funny, concidering L has nothing to do with a blunt.
please explain these terms to me
me and the kids i smoke with around here referr to a spliff as a joint that has tobacco in it...a joint is just a joint of bud, no baccy...blunt is anything made with a warp/cigar/blunt etc.

B.I.G. uses the term "L" in many of his songs.

You're dead right.
A J is simply put an abbreviation of joint.
Spliff is just another word for joint.
Blunt is a hollowed out cigar filled with ganj.
A ganja joint with tobacco is a mix not a spliff.
And a joint is a joint is a joint (tapered or not) simple really

Agreed man.
The L in the UK (may well differ wherever you are) is two "skins" (papers) stuck together to form an L shape.
