when yu had to confess to yur parents about yur smoking habbits..how did they take it?
i think i mite have to go wit this routine pretty damn soon..i've been puttin myself in a dark hole lately..
i jus wanna get some advice on how to let em kno if i ever get to that point
my mam walked in on me when i was rolling spliffs for my sister and she totaly flipped then my sister came in and said it was her blow and she flipped more! then she bitched for a few days then she had a spliff with us lol

I got caught twice. I think if i get caught again she learn to live with. My grades are good im athletic somewhat, so I think she'll come around.. 3rd times a charm!
Just tell them, it makes life way easier. Back when I did, she was suprised and alittle disapointed. But everyone else in my family does too, so it wasnt too bad for me.
My dad found out the other week, actually. I was reading the newspaper, and came across something that cost $4.20. I said 'Heheh... 420..." in front of him, and he's like 'Your mom might be oblivious, but I'm not that stupid' and just left it at that, lol.
Today he was making jokes about me, like I had a headache, and he said "Why don't you go smoke a bowl over in the woods for your headache?" He's very jokey which makes me suspicious that he used to smoke... That'd be pretty neat. And he knows it's not affecting my grades or thinking, he understands my health problems are neurological.
And he's not serious about it. Which makes it odd, I'd think he would have been angrier, but no. Neither approves or disapproves, just noticed it :P
Although I have been smoking on some occasions in the past, I decided to tell my parents about my chronice use once I started to use it regulary. I figured they will find out one way or another, so I decided to put faith in my own hands and just go ahead and tell them.
Now, before I continue, the fact that I'm 18, and an exellent student must be kept in mind. I decided to tell them the day midtearm report cards came. With an 88% average I couldn't go wrong. Also, my brother, who is older than me, has been a vocal chronic user and my parents did not care about that at all. Anyway, when I did tell them, their response was that I'm 18 and that they couldn't stop me from doing it even if they wanted to (very true), and that I should just use it resposibly.
So basically what I'm trying to say is that certain prerequisites are required, if yor parents are the "caring" type. You should be decent at school minimum, and you have to be relatively well behaved. Because if you are not, chances are they will start blaming poor 'ol Mary Jane for yer problems, and start hating you for it.
(I cant think of a way to word this sentence to make it sound proper) It was actually my mom that gave me my first weed. (told you) anyway, now she always makes jokes and stuff.
I have been smoking since I was 16, I'm now 20 and my parents didn't know i smoked until 12th grade, when they found my bowl and some Canadian beasters lol in my jacket, my mom smelled it through my coat when it was hanging in the closet! lol they got mad at first, but they gave me my shit back! and my dad told told me he used to smoke and they ended up not really caring to much about it
It was wayyy obvious I smoked when for weeks on end I'd bake out my room when my father went to sleep. I'd just say it was incense, or the few times he was direct about it I lied. He was in denial.
Both my brothers are stoners, my father himself was a stoner, my interests were of stoner-kind and I displayed an incredible amount of drug knoledge, and other times acted completely naive.
So one night we're chilling, looking at some wiki article and a few links and we're looking at marijuana and of course I play it like a complete naive spoon-fed prohibitionist...
The next day I'm babbling and just blurt it out.
He knows he can't stop me, blah blah,
and I won't be a lazy stoner when I'm 18 he'll kick me out,
but if I do want to smoke it I have to do it outside.
Now I just don't mention it, he doesn't mention it,
and his fiance was pretty cool about it.
I didn't HAVE to... more or less I just decided to tell my mom(though I have a really cool mom) She told me as long as I wasn't behind the wheel of a car she didn't care... I have toked in my room ever since. I have even carried on conversations with her while high.
I was tired of hiding who i was.. I was more emotional than my mother when i told her about it. Simply because I was for the first time in many years.. being myself with my family.
Now, I openly approach the subject with my parents when i can....that is.. when they actually return my phone calls

today i told my dad. he also smokes so it was cool. i gave him the rest of my dime and i tried some of his nick because i always make fun of him for smoking "old people weed". it turned out to be some pretty good shit lol. father does know best. we both went our seperate ways to smoke, then came back and made some eggs & sausages for our munchies, then went to sleep. :giveflower:
I remember when my mom first called me high. She was so upset about me smoking, she couldn't sleep all night. Now she has come to realize cannabis is a health benefit... funny how things work out.

Yeah I definitely have a few friends who would be out on their own if they told their 'rents. I told mine and they are cool with it. So it is nice being ale to jsut chill in my own room and relax and not have to find somewhere to go.Quote:

my mom caught me smokin a splif in the barn and just ever since she has been cool with it so i bake up my room and all she even asked me if i wanted to smoke a bowl with her lol and that was it but my dad ( parents are seperated ) if an old stoner and just keeps conficating my shit he even sent me 2 chad once . but other then that both of my rents know and have gotten over it a lil now. mind you im a average scholar B-B+ and thats a big factor in them not caring.

Next year I'm going to tell my parents. They are certain requirements I have to have if I want to tell them. I'm gonna get better grades and be in better shape.
As of now, if I told them I smoked weed, they would ground me until I brought every single grade up to an A, because they would think weed was the problem, when in actuality, it's not.
WELL! i told my mom and she well..she kinda took it a little harder than i thought but then i kinda convinced her about it and stuff so she was,well i would say "ok" with it. but you know, then my dad found out yesterday! so hes liek"i have to have a serious talk with you,i'm only going to tell you once and once only,if i catch you or hear about u smoking weed everything you have will go to shit,your ipod,cell phone,car,TRUST,everything,just say no! sat no to drugs" and i wasli ke" but dad! i did! i did say no!...but they just didnt listen!" and he was like "im serious!" and he left at that. but wut makes me mad is taht he USED to smoke weed til he was liek 25! wtf?! ehs done other drugs too! and i havent! i've only spooked once and smoked weed!

"mom, i smoke weed". she took it as a joke (and still does), but my dad knows because he found my stash and had a long talk with me. he threw my weed out, but i got to keep my pieces (all good, i only had about a g at most in that drawer). he never told my mom since we both know she would FLIP lol.
might as well tell them, it's damn near impossible to keep it a secret............
I think my dad pieced everything together by now. I came home a few times and went straight to bed, smelled like weed, had red eyes, he found my lighters, caught me 3 years ago...hes just waiting to catch me in the act but I think hes pretty cool about it. My mom goes insane when she hears news like this. Like when she knew I was drinking she yelled at the top of her lungs for 5 minutes and then we talked about it. My dad just laughed when he heard I was drinking and told me not to go overboard and become an alcoholic like he is.
My parents i think are alittle suspicious... Im to scared to tell them. I know they would be like i thought we raised you right and your blowing your life and shit so i dont even need that. Wene i get caught i get caught. Depending on there reaction will be if i continue.
My brother (17) told my mom the other day and she said she figured he smoked but didn't think I did. I'm glad he told her because I wanted her to find out anyways but I didn't want to have to tell her lol. Anyways, now I know that she has a 3 person hookah, a few pounds of good regs, and when she smokes she always smokes enough to be baked. It's her b/f's weed and shit though, she said he'll sell me a 1/4 for $15. lol I'm like "nah that's ok".
I have been nothing but open with my parent's about it, I see no reason not to be. But my mother doesn't like it, she accepts it, but I wish I'd never told her really.
when I was moving to a new apartment, my dad was hellping me move, and he found roaches in my ashtray lol he thought I had quit smoking pot after highschool, I told him I did quit, i just started up again lol! when he found out when I was in highschool (my step sister ratted me out) he yelled at me for quite sometime, then when I decided to go for a walk (after I slammed my bedroom door) he he ran downstairs and grabbed me by my throat with one arm, and slammed me into the wall , and yelled at me again lol That was one of the only few times my dad ever laid a finger on me. He was a hipicrit though cause he smokes pot too..sheesh
Damn, that's pretty harsh. Then again, me and my dad always used to fight. Not over weed though. He used to be a smoker, he was a hash man, loved the stuff. But he doesnt mind the occasional toke of skunk.Quote:

In my family we are constantly joking around about smoking weed. Like if I am getting ready to leave my mom or dad will say something like "huh, met a new girl and she smokes weed right? , well have fun gettin high and goin elbow deep." It is hilarious really.
Oh and in our 60 gal fish tank we have a big artificial pot plant. It is pretty cool.
i have never told my parents openly that i smoke weed, but i used to sit in my room smoking bongs, pipes and spliffs all day with huge clouds so i guess they knew esp since my mum saw an oz of very nice green on my floor one day, she never mentioned it tho

I told my mom a long ass time ago. She had always been cool about the subject, talking about stuff she did when she was younger, etc. I knew she was in charge of buying weed for my dad (she doesn’t smoke, just buys it), so I just hit her up with a logical business proposition – if we combined our purchases we could get a much better price; She agreed :)
But even though she knew, she still didn’t want me to talk to my dad about it. She was mainly worried that he would be mad that she was basically helping me buy it. So for like a year or more my mom knew but my dad didn’t.
I tried to tell my dad a bunch of times. One time our whole family came down with strep-throat except for me and my dad, so we were the only ones in the car and I mentioned that marijuana acts as a local anti-biotic and can prevent things such as strep-throat, and that it was interesting that we both just happened to dodge that one. He didn’t take the bait and just sorta changed the subject.
Then last summer we went on a house boat trip to lake Shasta for an entire week. Well the first night we were sitting out on the patio of the houseboat, having some drinks, and I’m sorta thinking this is going to be a really shitty week if I have to hide the fact that I smoke the whole time. So I just came out and said something like “Damn now is the perfect time for a bowl”. My dad’s eyes lit up, I think he must have been thinking the same thing. So he goes inside and grabs his stuff and we smoke a bowl. It turned out great because I brought like 5 times more weed than he did and my stuff was way better. Ended up being a pretty fun vacation :)
i got caught smoking weed in mexico on a mission trip and had to tell my parents. i told em that i just did like 1 puff but really me and this other guy smoked 25 grams by ourselves so my dad said if he ever caught me with weed again hed sell my car which ive put like 2 grand in to after market. now i toke every day so hopefully i can just make it to summer and i won't get caught by my schools lame ass random drug tests. im a little stoned sorry kind of got side tracked but oh ya.. my parents didn't take it very well at all but its cause neither of them ever tried it and they were in highschool/college in the freakings 60s/70s so they're gay.
Yeah I didnt tell my parents directly. more made jokes about it and told them shit like hey mom im going to the pink floyd laser show. I thought it was a lil thing of trust between us but it trned out my dadfound out about the laser show. Went through my cell phone found pics of my pipe and some weed. I went smoking for a lil after that. Then got caugt again.
But my parents dont understand. They are threatening to drug test me, but i doubt they'll do it. but im moving out next year. I found a whole house for 400 bucks a month. And i dont have to pay utilities. the owners of the house will do that ( my friends grandparents). Its gonna be a sick ass place. pretty big too, like 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, finished attic, living room, kitchen, and dining room.
