I enjoy Slipknot. Their concerts are like circus animals being tested with LSD. Just all out mayhem, and if people don't like that, too fuckin bad. :p

I don't really like their newest one though. The third one, Subliminal something.

I really like their first album and Iowa, first one the most.

It would have to be either Prosthetics or Eyeless. I love both of them.

i couldn't tell you honestly... they're all my favs.

ya i think the 3rd's alright, i like duality and before i get but when the first album came out people were SO impressed that slipknot had alot to live up to, and alot of people say the 1st ones the best (or i think its the 2nd one, im tlkin about hte self titled one, but before that one they had breed.mate.feed.kill or something like tht)

but i like they're second album the best :D

Oooo yes, Pulse of the Maggots is a good one.

I shouldn't say their 3rd album is all bad. Opium of the People is a good song, and so is Vermillion. I just don't see why they put acoustic songs on there. This is Slipknot, save that crap for Stone Sour man.

That's like Slayer doing acoustic songs, well, maybe not quite like that, but they should have kept those ones off, and used them in Stone Sour as special guests or something.

And if Slayer ever do acoustic songs, so help me I will kill, then the world would end.....in the metal world, but a part of me would die. :D

Oh yes, and Heretic Anthem, is like, the evilest of evil songs. I love it too.

stonesour's a completley different story.. i think they're ok, but they defintly do to many acoustic songs.. like throught the glass n shit, which are terrible and i think they shud stick to what they're good at.. but 30-30-150's defintly a good one by stone sour

I do enjoy Stone Sour's first album. I think it is really well done and has good aggression to it.

I gave their newest one a listen and I was disgusted by it. Horrible lyrics and music writing. It showed very little talent and I didn't get into it at all.

cuz if i started finding all they're decent songs off youtube id end up searchin for about 20-30 songs.. which i just cant be bothered to do right now.. lol, all you have to do is go onto youtube and search "slipknot" and then the name of whatever song u wanna listen to haha

why not listen to some REAL metal if you want aggresive music? Death, Necrophagist, Amon amarth is jsut a couple, hell id lsiten to cannibal corpse before slipknot. But thats just me.

i am no troll :( im not looking for attention. Im just sharing my opinion, its no fun for eveyerone in a thread to say the same thing over and over again. Im just trying to find the appeal. Cause as much as people enjoy it for the aggresive aspect, theres lots of stuff out theres thats far more aggresive and much more musically technichal and pleasing(not neccisarily both). but all you guys, who like the gore, the misanthropy, and the agression, should try listening to some other stuff(canibal corpse, necrophagist etc are both pretty gore oriented)

you know i've been told this so many times about slipknot, but it's not true, i think ti fits more with CC then slipknot... "if i wanted to hear a bunch of ir-rythmacial music slightly masked by mindless screaming i'd go to my nearest meat proccessing facility and shove someone's hand in a meat grinder..."

i still don't understand how anyone thinks people listen to slipknot because 'they bang instruments and scream' try listening a little more closer, and if you don't like something, don't go into a thread especially dedicated to that thing, state your 'opinion' and expect to not be seen as a troll. because that is what a troll does....

im not bashing on slipknot because i find them dissonant or anything in any way. im not trying to belittle anyone that listens to slipknot, and im not coming here to troll either. also by musically technichal i mean like, what scales they use time signatures etc. slipknot can play, but ive never heard a 6 string sweep in any of their stuff...

and anyone who says metal has no rythm needs to learn to comprehend time sigs other than 4/4! metal is all about timing, as im sure any drummer knows.

surfacing for sure. I really liked the new album, but that was when i kinda stopped listening to them so i haven't listened to it as much as their first real album. I use to listen to mate feed kill repeat a whole lot, but that was before they were the band that they are now.
