Unfortunately it was "non-binding". There way of doing it without actually doing it.
They realize that pulling out of Iraq is NOT an option. This is the only thing they've got to satisfy "Joe Public".Quote:

What difference does it make if they send 21,000 more soldiers? They know they can't win in Iraq. It's pointless to go further. The US must withdraw immediately. Your military leaders in their infinite wisdom sure had everything planned about before they did the invasion.
This is exactly why George Bush Sr. never occupied Iraq because he knew there was no way out.

They know that bush has made it to where a non-binding resolution is the only thing they can do...other than cut of funding, which won't be done because it could even possibly put the troops in more danger than they already are. He knows that congress can do nothing to keep him from doing what he wants, by god, this is his fucking country, and the American people aren't going to do shit to alter his intention. I'm so fucking pissed off that so many young men are losing their lives because of bush's arrogance..! Congress has no action resulting in immediate withdrawal. This is bush's war, and it will be till he's out..better sooner than later.Quote:
