6 Weeks Flowering.....

Its been 6 Full weeks now. The strain is supposed to finish in 7 to 9 weeks.

I was using Botanicare Pur Bloom x BIO-GENSIS High Tide and Synergy. I plan to start giving water only tommrow for the rest of their grow.

My plants smell like ass, They infact smell very similar to the Organic BIO-GENSIS products I give them. It smells like a barn. hopfully feeding them with plan ol distilled water will help take some of the rank out of them. If they get me a good high though I don't really care. hahahah I willone day grow plesent smelling Budda.

So anyone have any good ideas on how to harvest when you dont have a magnifying glass. I have ordered a 30X jewlers eye piece but I don't think it will arrive in time. From my naked eye the trichcombs are pure white right now. They are extreamly visable.

all hairs will die and turn red. that's when you should start checking trichs, imo...

Thats a soudns like a pretty good idea, but I live ina pretty cold dry place and I believe cold can make hairs turn redish Orange.

I wish I could check the Trichs I don't have a magnifying glass. Im sure Il figure it out...

Anyone know if using just water to feed them for the next couple weeks will help get the BRAN YARD smell out of them?

If theres a radio shack around you they sell a Mini Microscope 60x100 for about $10.00.It works great for me.The catolog #63-1313.I use it all the time,you can see everything. PEACE

hey kd.. just checked out your ladies.. my lord.. i just want to make love to them donkey dicks.. even tho that did sound gay .. i dont care hhaha.. i hope mine get as big as yours do.. very nice work... as far as harvesting.. if your on 6weeks.. you have say 2 3 weeks left.. n if you have ordered your 30x scope then im pretty sure it will arrive in plenty of time. if it dont then i would say.. harvest when roughly 85% of the hairs have gone brown.. or looking at the nice progress of your girlys i would say let em simply go 3 more weeks taking you to 9 weeks flowering.. the surgested flower time so you cant go wrong.. n you will deffinatly have massive buds.. either way you do it you cant lose... i dont reealy know what to say about the bad smell.. might just be strain dependant.. give your girls a good flush 1week -10 prior to harvest.. dry them slow and you should have nice bud .. cure them and you wont knpw what hit you.. well i hope so anyway... ;)

I was thinking of just giving them plain ol water for a few weeks but perhaps its still to early. Lots of white hairs keep growing...

Yo, kdspecial. Man, those colas are looking EXCELLENT! Sh*t, if you have 3 weeks left, those things will be MONSTERS by then. Whoa. 100 :clap:s for you, man.

Too bad about that smell. That's a battle I'd like to win also. Have you considered flushing the nutes by using a leeching solution like Clearex or something? That's my thought...couldn't hurt. Maybe try flushing them with that in a week then pure h2o after that?

Oh yea, and go get one of those Radio Shack microscope thingamajiggies. I'm sure it will help. I've heard they're hard to keep stable, but you can clip a leaf off of a bud and look at it on a table under clearer light (not orange). :)

So, no hermies or seeds this time, huh? CONGRATS on that, man.

I gave them some plain water thismorrning. the smell aint that bad atleast its not a chemical smeell Its all Organic baby!!!!!

I think I will continue to feed them for another week. just at a slightly weaker solution.

I have ordered a jewlers eye piece X30 it should come in a week or so so hopfully it will help me judge when to harvest...

The grow book I have been reading. THE GROW BIBLE. By GReg Somthing or Other... srry can't rember his full name.

Recomends to water with plain water for a month before you harvest to be sure that all nutes are out of the soil. He does admit that you will have less of a harvest but He feels its a vital important part to haveing great tasting bud...

I'm not sure what I should do... I want BUD but I want it to taste good too.....

im having the same dilema with mine at the moment,
im watering one day on, one day off at the moment, and if i go more than two days without water the plants really lookthe worse for it,

so my plan at the moment is they will go the last 3-4 days with no water, no nothing, and the five days leading up to that will just be pain water flushes every day for 4-5 days, about 4 litres per pot (2gal pots)


or somthing like that. this plan is subject to change lol

Yeah its funny how the plans are always changing.

I think Im gonna give them some food but just maybe a bit less. I gave them some full water and they look like they reall;y wanted some food still.

I had been feeding them with everywatering. So I think it may have been a bit of a shock to them.

im still seeing new growth and new White hairs. So I bet its not time to feed with just water yet. But perhaps the end of this week.

I smelt one bud this morrning and it didn't smell like total BARN ASS... So I bet the plain water will help get rid of that Sweet Organic waste smell... hahahahhaha I will say though those Organic products BIO-GENSIS HighTide and Synergy worked very well. My last results not using those nutrients were not half as successful.
