Why did you start smoking?

Why did you start smoking? Was it peer pressure or curiosity? I started because i got curious. From when i was 12 i was always hatin on pot smokers. I was like you stupid pot heads.Your gonna have no future. Blah blah blah. That typical Ignorant thinking. I never gave into peer pressure or anything. And beleive me i was pressured alot. Like on a daily basis. But one day i got curious and walked up to my friend and told him i wanted to blaze. So we rolled a half 8th blunt of some fire droski. And i know it was fire because this kid and the dealer we went only smoke the flame. And i got blazed out of my mind. But for some reason had no desire to smoke for like 2 months later. But i eventually came around.

curious, all my older cousins used to smoke, and i used to watchout in their room for when their parents were coming, so i knew about it from a young age and tried it when i was 13 and never stopped from that day........

I used to be the same way. I was always talking crap about stoners and how they were dumb and ruining their lives until one day i was curios and decided to try it. Ever since then i've been hooked:stoned: Mary Jane Blessed Me.

lol i was the same thinkin stoners r fuckin up because they smoke then 1 weekend we had a camp out and shit with a bunch of young kids from church and usm of them brought weed and so we all went for a walk and walked into a corn field got stoned as fuck and went back to all the parents and shit just ripped outta my mind laughin at everything fuck it was a good time and ever since that day iv bein faithful to my lady Mary

well i really had nothing better to do haha

I knew for a fact I would never do a single drug in my life a few years ago...

and now here I am.

Peer pressure. My best friend wanted me to try it----he thot it was great----but i waited until after i graduated high school to spark that first bowl.

I've always known that my brother was a pothead (like when i was really young) and I've always been curious about it. One day, well, I was like damn I wanna try! My friend got me some, and you know the rest lol.

i was the curious one aswell my close budy was and his step brother was a dealer so everything feel into place really easy. :D smoked outta a nice water pipe and then 2 blunts to end it off. actually that was the second time. first time we just smoked a pipe but i didnt really get high, i guess i did cause i wasnt sober thats for sure :stoned: since then iv been hooked, well not hooked. i can go days with out smokin the cannabis but i sureee dooooo looove it. :rasta:

then started smokin it regularly, iv quit a few times
but now im back on it

I was born into a pothead family. Everyone in my family besides one of my grandmothers smokes. Actually about half the people that live in my area are stoners. I just live in a very stoner friendly town.

originally, i started it to try to be cool, but now i do it for pure pleasure.

After eigth grade someone told me what it was like to be high, and I found some facts on how weed isn't that bad.

Then me and a friend wanted to try it and we knew where to get it :)

i feel like a loser now after reading all ur guys stories.

i told myself id never do it and shit around my house got BAD, so drugs was the only way to turn, especially when my best friend was like yeah dude lets try it.

i know that feeling, i gave up my good friends cause they got into drugs and i didnt wanna, now were both in the same place and were not close anymore.

i was sent to juvenile facility for skipping school 56 times in one year and smoked it there IN A STATE FACILITY WITH SECURITY!!!! jesus those people are stupid ... well i wasn't so bright either lol being there and all. hmph.:rastasmoke:

When I was in 5th grade my neighbor told me to do it so I be could cool like him. I wish I could make this kind of shit up.

I heard about it form this really skinny kid when i was about 11. So i go on the internet and i look up marijuana and i see pics of the plant and i fell in love with the plant even before i started smoking it. I thought it was such a beatuiful plant. So happens that one of my older friends brothers had a J so I go over there and smoke it. I got a lil high but I didnt realy feal any thing but i seriously wanted to get high, so i go out and ask the skinny kid and he point me in the direction to a young neighborhood dealer. Thats when i get 10 dollars out and bought my first dime bag. Again I wasnt to sure how to smoke it, so me and my friend smoke theses really small amounts and wonder why it isnt wokring (his first time also)... I actually think the dime bag lasted the both of us a week. Anyways I get angry because I have not gotten high yet and one day I go back to the guy who sold me the bag and he asked if i wanted to smoke. So I am like ok and this is when i got high as fuck. At the time I didnt kno you had to use more weed lol. So the guy rolled a whole dime bag into a blunt and we smoke all of it. I had finally gotten high and ever since then i loved weed even more. I never smoked weed because of peer pressure or anything... I mean i did find it to ease my problems also like i think alot of ppl do which was one of the reasons i was searching this so called high.. Now ive been happily smoking for 6 years.. although i am tired of the tar and would like to get a vaporizer soon

I was 13, I was at Warp Tour @ Lake Tahoe with my sister and our neighbor/sister's bf/grower/dealer. He was basically all that was pot. He was 19 and living with his parents and he payed rent with the ganga he grew by a river in a place called Grass Valley, no joke.

So there were 40 or so people in this huge circle all smoking pot and I just just like "what the hell, screw D.A.R.E.!" (Drug & Alcohol Resistance Education program from 5th grade). From then on, I have been a pot smoker, none of that crazy tobacco shit for me, that stuff messes you up! lol (like pot doesn't)

Its funny cuz i remember a couple years ago i thought drugs were bad and everything, and i didnt like potheads and i thought they had no future, etc. But now i smoke as much as possible lol. EVERYONE around here smokes though, i live in one of those areas theres not much to do. I orignially tried it at a party and loved it since then i have been hooked.

Mmmmm well i started because i was curious.

I was NEVER pressured, never. I only knew a few people that smoked the herb.

I asked them if they could get me some so i could try it.

After i tried it, i never looked back.

And i made so many friends.

Its a beautiful plant.

cause i was 16 and me a my good friends said these are the experimental times of our lives so we got high and i had some of the best and funnest times, blazing before school, after school,clam baking your car until you can only see the persons arm passing you the blunt, making a big deal on blunt raps, freestyle sessions, listening to underground rap, techno and cartoons with the volume off, driving around with your friends, no were to go until we all meet up at a wendys parking lot all blazed out of are minds eating junior bacons,celestes pizzas,driving by people and doing something real stupid like yelling really loud out of the car to scare them,taking huge g bong rips were the smoke is so milky its turning brown in the 2 litter,gettin grams every time cause we all had no money,and how weed opened up my mind to appreciate a lot more tings then i did, these are just a few things on top of my mind on why i started smoking, cause i had a great time when i was high with my friends and all the stupid but memorable things we did,

Peer pressure, my friend budded me till I did it and we've been blazing since.

I was curious about it at a young age (like 12). Then I turned and thought it was stupid, a waste of money, and hurts you (I believed the propaganda). Then after that, I was like "fuck it." I was curious again, and when I was 18, my friend offered to smoke with me when he was gonna come over and we were gonna play poker. So I smoked a bowl with him, and actually had a bad experience (paranoia--thought I was going to have a heart attack, and things were way too fucked up, in a way where I did not like it). Then I was like, "I don't know if I want to try it again." I changed my mind, tried it again, and I loved it. Ever since then, it's been every day unless I'm dry (which I have been for about 2 1/2 weeks). It's okay though, because I know when I get some, it's going to be great! Anyway, I love Cannabis, and I am going to start growing soon. And until recently, I've thought shrooms were stupid. Now I plan on growing that soon too ;).

I was in the car with my bro, and i knew he drank quite often after having to help him up the stairs a couple times (he was a senior in highschool). We got very very tight and he told me that he smokes and i was like uhh thats cool. I told him id probably wanna smoke and it made him happy. I told him i wanted to see things and he was like uhhh u dont see things on pot. So i decided that i didnt wanna do it. I made up my mind that if it is harmless and is sooo great without visuals it must be cool. He smoked me out two weeks after i told him i wanted to smoke. It was great.

Was just plain out curious when I was 16 and decided since I knew where to get it I would go try it... lovin it ever since

lol, cuz i went to NYC public school.

Well first off when I was around 5 I was a weed leef in my dads wallet. He also had a denim vest with a weed leaf on it so I recognized it but I didn't know what it was. Then 5th grade came and that's when D.A.R.E. taught us of the dangers of drugs. Then one day I was at my cousins house and she offered to smoke some herb and I said yeah. I didn't get high though because it was shwagg (didn't know back then) then I didn't do until 8th grade and I've been doing it since. I am now in 11th grade and I can say I've had some dank dankedy dank dank.

I'd sat in with my brother a few times while he and his friends lit up. So I asked him one day and I lit up with him. Since then, we smoked several times together, he quit, I smoked with his friends, I smoked with my friends, I've smoked alone, and I've gotten him to light up once or twice in my day. :D

same here..my best friend became a pothead..i didnt hate on him i jus thought he was stupid..

eventually..i went up to him..asked him wut being high was like..

he explained it to me..it seemed pretty cool..we had to smoke it outta a water bottle bong..

i took at least 7 HITS..i was totally fucked outta my mind..like..i dont think ive been that bad ever since..

the people i hung out with smoked it and i didnt even knew what it was..i was 13 when i first smoked and been in love since..my ex said weed was my first love....hahaha i have to agree..

havent smoked in 4 months..on probation for doing something stupid on crack and alcohol 3 years ago....just waiting until the law is off my back in a year or so i only smoked about 3 times a day and mediatated alot on it..i love my ganga..i have addiction issue and i am working through the b.s. sorting out what is true for myself and what has been programmed..i believe ganga is a sacred plant everyone should be able to enjoy ,it is a gift from the universe

well my friend on the street next to me kept asking me if i wanted to go smoke with him after school....and i'd always say nahh cuz id thought id stay away from drugs....but deep down i knew id eventualy try it...sooo one day when he asked i just said fuck it and smoked with him

i hardly got high....just maaadddd cotton mouth....crazy munchies and a lil bit of zoning out

now that i think about it, it was because of a girl. she was gonna try it for the first time, with a few friends of ours; so i wanted to do it, to be with her etc.

after that, we went out for a bit, smoked weed all the time with those same people
