yes al la carte is the only way.. thats what gives me a good buzz having all the tables in and only three people in the kitchen... great.. . ive to go back and do l 3 in september.. i started it ther and got tossed out cuz my new teacher was an utter wankpot. he was very snotty. and i had family problems at time so i told him to feck aff. i couldnt handle the strees he was putting me under.. one things about lecturers they make good money . good hours but its a tourture having to teach all those young adults...

Hi guys! I am a Chef. although I am currently not in the industry I have been a certified Chef since 1999.
I miss it. I just interviewed on a big position, we'll see.

thats the way it is shit money at first but it builds up. ment to be starting in a place as second chef but another place are interested in me so i got to call to them tonight. second place is closer to me so i might take that one. only thing is i feel bad about letting the first place down but its 10 miles away. other place is like 1.5 miles.
well ya go where the money is.. the first one would cost ya and extra 17 miles of petrol.. adds up everyday... is it restaraunts or hotels..
first place is a guest house pub and restaurant together so bar food breakfast and al a carte also carvery on sat and sun other is a hotel which will be pritty much the same so will have to see what happens like u say money and miles saved
thanks for the kind words TheBudBuster.
Right now there is a huge demand for qualified Chefs in Canada.
Well stay stoned my Irish friends!
i would hit the hotels always more fun.. sometimes more money than the smaller establisments well for me neway...canne beat a big pile of sunday carvery after ya shift.then a spliff for the walk home. lovly..
no probs VD hopefully some day ill see you in Canada.. ive thought about it before.. and apparently its not hard to get over to work .. so the future is bright...,the future is green..hAhahaha
canada sounds good is it easy to get a cannabis card with a bad back
Cannabis is everywhere most of the time. as far as a prescription...I think you gotta have it pretty bad for that. as of now anyway. Canada is an amazing country. I would recomend coming here to anyone, if only for a visit. It is a vast beautiful country.
peace

I'm not a Chef but I can cook fairly good.I've been looking after me bros since I was 12 so I had to learn how to cook early and I find it releases a lota stresseven more so than herb.I still dom mosta the cooking in the house. My better half can't really cook sop its up to me mosta the time.Sometimes I get it right and som etimes I don't lol I'm sure youve been there buster, sayin.
I'm 29 now and have a good job ,good money etc but have been thinking bout goin on a cookery corse to hone my skills a bit a maybe go into the buisness.
I love to own my own little place I'd call it "Pablos place"simple just like my food.Sometimes the simple food is the most delicious.I've been in so many places in and around Ireland and I tell some places are really bad how the get away with it I'l never know well I do but thats a whole nother thread.I could cook a thousand times better and I don't have any training.I don't know though the jobh I have now pays well and to take a big cut in salary would hurt my pocket at the moment specially with baby on the way but you never know!
baby on way? big up bredren :) good news.
great stuff, Gasur no callain.. an bhfuil a fois agat?
I ve been ther allrite.. only athome i do alot of fucking about inthe kitchen but in work im a very hard guy to please... i think i get it from last years teacher.. hes a cracker old man.. but funny.. neway .. i say take one night a week and do a good cookery course./. theres a big difference from being a demi glace man and a veal stock jus boy.. lots of stuff to learn.. the best way to learn is to get some one to show ya.. or just sit and read recipe books.. lol
Peace
TBB;)
i also have another baby on the way kongo, well done!your right bud big difference between a stock man and box of dami i love the smell of a good jus in the morning. but ye there are plenty of cookery courses part time out there
