i know i will get yelled at for this..but i give away or garbage dispose all of my trim..i just do not want it..i collect in a paperbag then dispose..or give away.
the yeag, i have the perfect solution to your problems.....you can send all of it to me, and i will be very thankful:thumbsup: , have you ever made hash from it?...jw
I'd hash it. If I couldn't get hold of bubble bags, I'd use a huge strainer & a coffee filter.
Oil is easy, too, but sticky and a pain to collect.
Bubble bags are pretty cheap now. I bought a pair from JBC distribution the guy is always at avanced nutes forums but he also sells them on ebay I paid a little over $100 for mine. they have 4-9 bag set
Man I wish I knew someone who was throwing away shake & trim! I'd be making oil left right and centre.
PLEASE RESPECT OIL MAKING!
One night I'm sitting on the couch and I hear a banging at the door. When I open it up my buddy was still smoldering and on fire! He managed to drive to my house for help.
They were cooking oil inside and didn't have enough ventilation. They knew better too they've been cooking it for decades. Anyways some one opened the door to quick, buddy looked away and BOOM! His thrown by a fireball 10' throught the air. His hair caught fire and all exposed skin was burnt. Lucky he was wearing a jacket. His hands were peeling off chunks of skin, his face wasn't as bad but had pretty good blisters. He burnt all the hair out of his ears and nose. I through him in the bathtub under the shower, and sent my husband out at 3 in the morning to pick up supplies. I had to cut chunks of melted hair from his scalp and dress his wounds because he refused to go t the hospital. It took him 6 months to heal and he still has scars all on his hands they look like gloves. They had to be bandagd for so long and they are so sensitive now. He's so lucky I knew what to do and he didn't get an infection.
Anyways beware.
This is why I stopped making oil after 2 batches; too many horror stories, and serious heart racing (from fear) (not good at my age) while making it. How often does one get blown up doing cold water extraction?Quote:

Your friend was lucky to have you looking after him! And I am glad he was ok. As dumb an idea as that was it sounds like he more than paid for it.
Thanks for the tale of caution though. That might save me from getting cocky in the future when I have as much experience as he did with making oil.
Anyway if anyone here wants to make oil inside please read my post here about doing it a little more safely. In case you don't read the post just let me say that I really don't recommend you do it inside at all. There are just too many factors you don't have control over indoors and the consequences of an accident are obviously much more severe. Make sure everyone in your house knows what's going on so they are careful as well!
If you are using more than 1-2oz of material to make your oil do it outside. Be safe. :twocents:
Volker: I can relate to the heart racing. I think it's a good sign because it means you'll be fucking careful!

He's usually prettysafe, he's been doing it a long time, he just slowly got a little lazy I guess and eventually it caught up to him.
With a story like that, I would think the culprit is more likely butane than isopropyl. Butane is by far easier - and more dangerous - than iso wash.Quote:

EDIT: Just re-read and noticed "cooking" & "decades", which can only mean iso. My bad. Ignore the butane thing.
Depends what your idea of "easy" is. Me..I think this is easy: hash oil (or honey oil). All you need is a length of copper tubing (for example, 12" long and 1/2" wide). Get 2 end caps. Now grab a few bottles of Butane, preferably triple filtered. Drill a hole in the cap that fits the butane fitting as best as possible. Drill a slightly larger hole on the other fitting. Stick a screen into the bottom of the cap, a tight metal screen, then put the cap onto the copper tube. Fill the tube with trimmings that you put in the blender briefly. Gently push the trimmings down to slightly compact it as your packing it. Pack it to the top. Put the top cap on. Little hoseclamps can ensure the caps dont come off but I just use duct tape often. It doesnt build enough pressure to blow anything off.Quote:

Butane evaporates around 74 degrees F so just wait (not right over it, Butane can kill you) a couple minutes and then youve got chronic (depending on the quality of trimmings) hash oil. Scrape it up with a razor and then you can make honey bud by covering a bud with oil or do knife hits or drop a bit from a paper clip onto a bowl.
Maybe not easy the first time, but once you have the tools, the process takes 5 minutes. Best part is, you can stick a long metal poke down the tube and mash the trimmings up more, pack it down some more, add more, and do it again. Depending on your method, butane, size of tube, etc...you can get quite a few grams of hash oil from like an ounce of shake.
obviously this is done outside without anyone smoking cigarettes or barbacueing anything close by...common sense people.
Yeah I want to try honey oil some time. It seems a little more safe to me. And looks great.
he was doing it inside!!!
i find it safer to use liquid lighter fuel and place the dish on a reptile heat pad OUTSIDE!!!!
Bubble hash. Go cold water extraction. It's the cheapest way to make hash, if you're good at it you'll get good product and there's NO CHEMICALS or fire risk at all.
503danks, lets meet up and smoke a GRIP of blunts.. or make one fatty
