I love Clapton, especially his early stuff with Cream and Derek and the Dominoes. So many good songs, such a great musician. 'Sunshine of Your Love' is amazing to listen to when blazing :D
Been to 4 of his concerts. I fucking love Clapton. He has a way of making the guitar speak.. It cries at the end of Layla, it hums in "wonderful tonight".. I'm a HUGE clapton fan.
eric crapton?!
Clapton is the shit!
I like chillin to some "Tiny Dancer" from Elton John when i'm baked and Billy Joels "Piano Man" is sweet also
Slowhand is the best!!!!!!!! He's one of the true guitar gods!
I rarely use aggression as a means of expression, but fuck you very much.Quote:

amazing musician. very talented. gotta love a guy that can make a guitar sing so sweetly.
one of my guitar idols along w/ hendrix, gilmour, and vaughan. what do you listen to euphoric? just curious as to everyones musical taste.
I like his stuff with Cream but not much of his new stuff. Riding with the King was pretty good album though.

Clapton is a legend, I love his unplugged versions personally. I'm learning to play Layla at the moment on the old guitar, pretty easy really compered to how it sounds.
Nah, I've never beeb a big fan of Clapton. Although that song "cocaine" is a good one.
What should we expect from the guy who started the "Goth Rule" thread. LOL, what a tool.Quote:

Clapton kicks so much fucking ass. In my opinion he was never better than when he was with Derek and the Dominoes. What sucks is that nobody ever talks about DD. I was a huge fan of cream for quite a while and listened to a lot of his new stuff and only just recently found out about DD.
Yeah, you gotta love Derek and the Dominos. The interplay between Clapton and Duane Allman is fantastic. Duane actually taught Clapton slide guitar btw. It's too bad they only made one album together.
Another album (cd) for Clapton fans to check out is Roger Waters-The Prose and Cons of Hitchiking. This was Waters first album after he left Pink Floyd and he got Clapton to play guitar on it. My guess is that he figured any guitarist he had would instantly be compared to Gilmore so he'd just get one that was generally recognized as being better. One song in particular, Sexual Revolution, really has some outstanding guitar work by Clapton.
For some really mellow guitar, that still kicks ass, check out the soundtrack from the movie Rush. It's a great Clapton cd to put on when you just want to kick back and chill.
clapton is at his best when hes with blind faith in my opinion... i cant believe no one mentioned them
eric crapton?? are u serious??? :error:

Clapton is the cleanest guitarist ever.
Rarely missed a note even through his heroin, cocaine and alcohol addictions.
Derek & The Dominos, "Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs".
layla and cocaine are great songs
hey euphoric not everybody likes to slit their wrists to emo music. :D
