Ok here is my first grow log.. I had a like 2 more before but they were jokes because I had no idea what I was doing and now I know exactly what im doing. I will update the forum every 1-3 days. If you have any tips for me feel free to give me some :rastasmoke:

Try the 'MACRO' setting on your camera. It is a picture of a flower. :)

I wouldn't use a clear container if I were you. It lets in light to the roots which is bad.
all i have is an off button a play button a camera button a camera with a M next to it a picture of a face an auto button and a video button =\
Ok ill move the plant to a darker container quick.
I'll be adding 1 more plant after it germinates. I have moved the plants into a cup and put holes on the bottom of the cups so water can drain out. Umm.. I'll put pics up tomorrow.
u better start thinking ahead, this is a grow log u shoul dbe includidng everything you plan on and are currently doing. This way we can help u before you need help.. get it? kinda like the cups but only becuase of pictures can we see that. start posting your plans for the grow, lights, nutes, everything.

first of all i dont know what nutes are and what lst is =\ can someone help me with this so I can know when to do what? and im going to get some florocent lights soon within 1-2 days. Thanks for all the help.

Ok so I took your advice and put them in a darker container. I put holes on the bottom of the cups and put another light in there and i dont know if its good but it produces 1175 Lumens.. Is that good? Its about 2 Inches above the plants. I dont know if you can see but plant 1 is producing another set of leaves.. Here are some more pictures.

lst is lowstress training, such as tieing down your plants to shape them, reduce height, or expose branches. Nutes are nutrients. Before you start playing with those pick up a pH tester and get the pH of your water under control, because if you don't have the right pH your plant won't be able to absorb the nutes. Also DON'T OVERWATER! Wait till your soil is just a tad bit damp an inch into the soil, just poke your finger in, then rewater. Once you figure that out work on the next improvment. Good luck.

The light im using produces 1170 Lumens, Is that good?

get that incandecent bulb outta there, ASAP!!! you'll have heat probs for sure, plus, that's not near enough light. go to wally world or lowes and get some cfl's (at least 23w, one per plant for now) or, for 20$ you can get a double 48" flourecent fixture and two ge daylight tubes... ideal for veg.

dude 400watts is like a portable oven, make sure before you set up this light you have something to vent it out, and not that cheese fan on your desk you will need a real fan (cage/vortex).
other than that i would just read read read and get to learn plant problems more than anything because whatever problems happen you will know how to fix it.
Ok thanks.. what watt do you suggest? I heard people say in the 20's =\ I guess I bought the wrong bulb =\ It is pretty hot in there. Tell me the kinda bulb to buy and ill go buy it tomorrow because the roads are icy and stuff.. Ill go back to my other bulb until tomorrow. Thanks.

Ok I tried a new method to see if this would help the cooling in the room because i cant go get a light now =\ i dont have any money for a while.. till next month. but this light is still cool.. the heat is like 79 Degrees in the room. What i did was put a a bucket kinda thing in there and put cold water in it and put my plants in it. and it evaporates and keeps the room cool. =\ It feels good in there. I almost fell asleep xD ok here are some pictures.
They grew about a cm or 2 within 8 hours =\ here is a picture of them both ...
Looking good, your going to eventually put them in a stable place with better lighting right?

I just need to know when so I can buy the stuff. I have about another foot of space left. And im going to buy a better light soon. Ima try and get my mom to buy it and say its for my room or something. And that should be good until I build a box.

First off growing in your parents place is not cool man. Second go to indoor growing and read up on cfls or compact flourescent lights. Your solution might be in there since they are cool and they have a better light spectrum. Theother thing is that height isn't as good as you think it is you want your plant to be short and bushy with as little distance between nodes as possible. Plants will stretch towards the light when they aren't recieving enough, and the end result is a tall lanky plant with small buds. I hate to say it but I don't think you will make it through flowering with out being busted by your parents or running into major space problems. But I do wish yu the best of luck and will keep popping in.;)
Yea chrissy that could be an issue, but it's very possible to harvest an oz ,stealth grow to the max.Like kind princess said, that incandescant light is doing nothing to the plants at all. kb the 20 watts youre talkin about are compact cfls. The spiral shaped bulbs u see at lowes/home depot ? 23 watt compacts is what u want ,go get a little table lamp and a bulb right when you read this bro,lamp for 15 bulb for less than 5. ok thanks so much chrissy but I dont like the idea of growing in my parents house either I think its rude to grow in my parents house but its icy outside and I cant put it outside.. But my parents never come in my room and YES I will get a new light really really soon so that my plants will be cool and get enough light. Right now what i thought was normal was when they grow torwards the light... =\ I dident know they werent getting enough light. :( so i turn them around everyday so there not crooked. should i just leave them alone and dont switch them around everyday? does that stress them? o yah.. Ok ya I do want a small bushy plant cause i dont want a like 3 foot plant in my room -.- I wouldent want that outdoors either.. I'd rather grow about 3-4 plants at a time and have them short and bushy. I have 5 seeds germinating right now that im planning on trying to grow outside but i doubt that'll work out because its still january and winter isint over yet =\ So i might just have to deal with these also in a different room until they can go out at the end of february.. Im going to LST the plants so there short and try and buy some NUTES and plant food. O ya.. I cant post pictures today because I ran out of batteries :( But i'll put some up as soon as I can so you guys can give me info on when to move them to bigger pots and if there healthy or not.

Growing in ANYONE's house without their permission is not cool. Especially if you go posting it on a website and include your picture. You are putting your parents livelihoods at risk...that's just not cool. Wait until the spring and go guerilla stylie.
In the mean time, you will have LOTS of time to read up on growing properly.
Grow some veggies, man. Just try to keep them stealth, and then when you DO get busted by your parents (which you probably will), they will just find you growing tomatoes and basil and be shocked and not know what to say. That's hilarious...plus it gives you practice growing things. :thumbsup:
Plus, I think you're wasting your time because I can already tell that those plants are both male. I'd throw them out now. :p

hahah that pic is funny ya bro i think ima get rid of them and just do what you said.. you've given me alot of advice. Grow veggies and stuff and read alot about growing bud. and then when the end of february - 1st of april (when i feel ready) i will grow bud outside in the woods. I'll probably grow about 6 plants xD i'll just let them get as tall as they want and spread the plants around the woods and not just keep them in 1 place.
I'll hang dry the buds in my storage or outside in the woods -.- but ya i think ima grow veggies for a bit so I can get an excuss to go get lights and fertilzer and all the goodies for when i grow bud xD

O ya and the leaning of the plants isint from the fan. The fan is on low and it barely moves the plants and umm.. there leaning cause they need more light :(
rotating your plants is something you should do daily so they grow strait. I think the veggie idea is a good one especially because when you do get busted your parents will think you are some freak with a hidden sissy green thumb and they will probably try to encourage you to grow stuff and help you out. I have tons of house plants in my house so when I go out wih my mom I can drop a hint about my poor corn tree and get some new stuff, lol.
lol thats a good idea! O ya! I got some pictures just right now. On my bigger plant the leaves are starting to curl.. That means it's trying to keep cool right? So.. think i should put some ice cubes in it? mabey like 1 or 2? I already watered it. It's just that freaking light bulb is so hot. Ok here are the pictures.

O ya I got some soil from this lady next door. She is a huge gardening fan type of person. And it has green little balls in it and when you squeeze them they pop? What is that? Here is a picture.
I can't tell from your pics wether your grow is in the drawer or behind the desk. Eiter way you have to cool it down. That means getting the hot air out and fresh air in. If you insist on using the bulb that you are you have to move it away from the plants so you don't burn them. put your hand right above them, if it is warm the you have to move it up more, because as I just learnt the twisted leaves are trying to cool off.
People tell me to keep the light about 2 inches away from the plants because they stretch =\ but i'll try what you just told me and see what the results are. Thanks alot Chronic Chrissy for helping me out alot :rastasmoke:
