She fell right in my lap...

Stranger things have happened, but this one really took me by surprise.

On Friday afternoon, i received a call from one of my mates, he was going on about Trentmoller, a DJ. he was playing a 3 hour set that night. Tickets were 30 bucks. I only had 50 bucks on me at the time so i said i couldn't be bothered. I had woken up at 12am Friday morning which means in TAG time, it was bed time, also because i already saw Trentemoller live at SummaDayze. I just didn't feel like going out, just wanted to spend the 50 on some weed and smoke up (as we stoners do).

So i hang up and prepare to call my dealer, when my mobile rings again. it's one of my other mates, and he's said he's got me a ticket. This is when i knew i was not going to be sitting in front of the tv that night. Cuz this guy is the master of pursuasion. I didn't even bother to say no. "be at mikey's at 8pm" he said, "yeah okay, but i'll only be there for a few hours..." i said. i was thinking of just going for a bit, enjoy the music and then go home. "his set starts at 2:30am" my mate responded. 'fuck' i thought to myself. "so it's gonna be an all-nighter?" i asked. "yep, dress accordingly." he said.

So i go throw on my jeans and boots, find a decent t shirt to wear, tie my hair up do all that crap and then head out. I get to Mikey's place and his dog start going ape shit just barking it's head off. it's always confused me, i love dogs, i'm a dog person and every dog i've ever met has liked me, except for Spike. this little shit who's no bigger than a handbag has got the worst temper. 'start of a bad night' i think to myself. mikey comes marching out of his bedroom which is like a separate building on his property, a bungalow. he's got a six pack in on hand, shakes my hand with the other and says, "i knew you'd come out tonight." with a smug grin on his face. the dude knows me too well.

we jump into the car and head of to Al's place. we get there and his foxy lil sister opens the door, greets us affectionately and says Alex is still out so we have to wait. i jump on his decks and do some vinyl mixing to kill time. so 10 minutes later he gets home and runs upstairs to get his gear. we jump in the car and Al's little sister joins us. we head back to Mikey's place and start drinking. He had quite a few beers left over form new years so we ripped into those. Another mate of ours rocks up and he's on the piss as well. he pulls out a baggy of weed and my eyes light up. "dude, you're a lifesaver" is aid. he grins and says "well i knew you'd be here and well i had this at home, thought you might like it" and he was wrong, cuz i fucking loved it.

you know how alot of people say things like "dude i smoked the dankest shit in my life last night!" or "i smoked the best weed ever last night" that kinda stuff? well i usually just call bullshit, because i hear it so often, but guys, here at the forum, i shit you not... i smoked the best weed that night.

so we're sitting outside on the deck, around a large circular table, beers in hand and passing the joint around. we laughed, we talked shit and pondered the mysteries of life. Then it was time to leave.

We get to the venue where Trentemoller was playing, and wait for a few more of our friends to come. sure enough Jane and Mira rocked up and it was Janes birthday! how exciting. there was a huge line for people to get in, but lucky for us, we had the master of pursuasion, he'd already done his magic on the bouncers years ago, so they knew us all. no waiting for us. For those who live in Melbourne, it was at Prince, for those who don't live in Melbourne, Prince is a venue where they used to have awesome nights and they still do but since my friends and I aren't 18 anymore we've lost interest and found more 'mature' places to chill out at, not to mention the 16 year old skanks with their siblings ID's polluting the place. but since it was a special night for a special performer, the crowd was awesome. i couldn't believe the atmosphere. The people who came are the people who appreciate the music, not the scene. our group came in and we joined another group of our friends who were already there.

Theres a point where music becomes real and it takes a gifted artist to make you feel that music. live bands are the easiest way to feel music, but with dj's only the talented ones make your ears orgasm. and that's what trentemoller did. coulda been the beer and weed talking but fuck, it went off.

so 5am comes rolling around and we head off to another club, onesixone, we were on the guest list to no queuing up for us. we get in and go to our usual booth. this is when other narcotics came heavily into play. we dance, drink, stick around till 7:30am. by this time i felt like i had a great night and that i was more then ready for a shower and bed. but no, the master of pursuasion somehow talks me into going out again. and i know what you maybe be thinking. "why don't you just say no?" well, it's not the fact that i didn't want to go, it was because i felt like i was denying myself the pleasure of going because i'm afraid that if one goes on too long, eventually something will go wrong and everyones time will be ruined. what goes up must come down right?

so we leave onesixone, and head over to Revolver. Sasha, this chick who was with us, has so much pull at this club, that when she walks towards the door, bouncers move out of her way, she does'nt even break her stride. it might not sound like much, but i've seen so many people knocked back from this place for the most petty reasons. "not in that shirt mate", "too many guys", "don't like your attitude". basically if you're a dickhead they won't let you in. we get upstairs and i check my pockets, i'm out of cash. "nevermind" says sasha, "i'm out of cash too". we walk up the stairs and everyone goes to pay the cover charge, but sasha grabs my hand and we just walk straight in, the chick monitoring the entrance says hi.

So Rev's is the same as usual, quite packed with the best local dj's on the decks. the place is full of lounges and basically you go there to chill out, have a groove. and if you're high on something, it's cool cuz everyone is high on something there. our group is quite large at this point in time so we all separate to do our own thing. i roll another joint and smoke it with a couple of people. and the joint really hits the spot. it took the edge off all that other shit i had been taking. it was beautiful. i find a compfortable place on the lounge where our group we're all sorta converging again

so i'm sitting on a sofa, sunnies on, completely stoned, bopping my head in time with the beats, some of my friends dance and a few others snorting shit. and then this chick, just falls right in my lap... i was like, "wtf?!" my sunnies fall off, her head was between my legs and i grab her, and ask her if she's alright. shes giggling her head off and apologising, so i'm sitting there with this girl on her knees in front of me, and she was bloody gorgeous. "i didn't mean to fall on you! i'm so sorry" she exclaims through laughter. "are you fucked?" i asked her smiling. "no! actually i'm probably the straightest person here, and funnily enough i'm the one who falls on her ass!" we laugh. She introduces her self, her name is Eva. we talk a bit, she tells me that she's studying fashion design, she likes my sunglasses and by the way, she's still on her knees, head between my legs. "i'm completely baked sweetheart" i told her, just in case she was wondering why i had a stupid ass smug grin on my face and my eyes were red. "Really? i came over to ask if you knew where i could buy some weed!" the music is loud, the bass is heavy. "would you like to get up now?" i ask her. i think that was when she realised she had been talking to me on her knees for quite a while. so she plonks on my lap and we chat some more. I was contemplating wether to go get my mate to give her some weed, but he only had a tiny bit left and i knew he'd want that for Recovery once we left Revolver. She kisses me, or rather i made the move and kiss her first. we 'makeout'. it was nice. but being as it was revolver, i knew it didn't mean much. after awhile We get up for a boogie, then her friends come over and tell her they're calling it a night and goin home to get some sleep. she leaves with them.

i get back to my friends, we dance, talk shit, rack up, whatever. 12pm came and the club shuts down, the huge blinds covering the windows go up and suddenly sunlight fills the place. i chuck on my sunnies and as usual, a few strangers blinded by light make their comments about how badly they want my sunglasses.

and to think, i was just gonna stay home and get stoned. ;)

Well very good post at that. I love it when random nights or you really dont feel like goin out it turns out to be a very good night. Nice story too bad you didnt bang it though.

thanks dude. yeah i was thinking afterwards, had i of been more forward would she have gone back to mine? i mean i didn't even attempt to ask for a number, it was just one of those things ya'know, easy come easy go.

nah, didn't bother asking. and to be honest, subconsciously i think i was afraid she'd say no... i dunno. either way, i just remember not bothering to ask for it. it was hella fun tho. i get the feeling i'll run into her again. if you attend this club, more than likely you're a regular.

Yesterday/Friday i went to Bass Station for the first time..and OH MY GOD it is an AMAZING club! EVERYONE and i mean EVERYONE was absolutely fucked on something, and you just meet soo many cool randoms.

The best thing about the place? Well, they don't call it BASS for nothing! I'm guessing they have one of the best sound systems out of most of the clubs in Melbourne. They have a little wall of speakers next to the dance floor and if you stand in front of it, you can feel your organs inside moving:p

Not something i'd do regularly, but once every couple months is all good:cool:

woah, i think i might have to check out bass station. sounds awesome. when i was younger, i remember going to clubs and having to deal with heroes wanting to punch on over the smallest things, but at this age, everyone has mellowed out and put their petty differences aside which means everyone has a great time (that and i don't hangout with 17 years olds anymore). and thats whats important. why go out if you're not gonna have a good time?

Yea that's a long fucking post mate, but a very well written one at that. So you live in Melbourne? I think I might be moving there for several months later this year to live with my family in Caufield. Would you mind it if I maintained contact with you? It would be great to know someone there who could hook me up.
