...SURPRISED the fuck outta me with his new cd. im the kinda guy that likes rock, like Tool and Ozzy etc. But my friend copied me Jeezys new shit and its pretty tight. its the only new shit i can listen too, seeing as how everyone else says the same exact thing in everyone of there songs. talkiong about how big their chaains and shit are. anyone else hear this yet

Jeezy's new album is whack IMO. Beats are boring and Jeezy sounds tired as a rapper. There is no big hit on this album either, compared to last year's Soul Survivor.
mainstream rap is played out listen to some underground shit like mf doom, aesop rock, people under the stairs, a tribe called quest

Yeah, the only thing I like on that album is J.E.E.Z.Y., right now my fav album is Tha Blue Carpet Treatment. Snoop Dogg has some good fuckin beats on that album.

He's one of the reasons 'hip hop is dead'. Yelling "Ayeeeee" and "Dammmmnnn" in every song (sometimes more like every friggin' bar) gets old quick. Lyricism is pretty pathetic...some things I think are funny....but I don't think he wanted them to be lol.

The first album was better. Possibly will be the best he ever comes out with. The second was still good though just couldnt match the first.

If you sell 10 million records, it's because 8 million little girls bought the album...does 50 Cent get respect from any lyrical artists? Hell no.

rap isnt good, if you knew anything about music youd appreiciate that. i mean it is cool to listen to now and then, but in real music the music expresses just as much as the lyrics if not more. ie if their werent lyrics in a song you get the feeling. in rap the music has no meaning at all and is thrown together. have you ever played around witha drum machine or a nice studio keyboard coming up with good beats is not nearly as hard as you think. no one over the age of thirty who isnt a rapper himself listens to rap regularly. that really doesnt mean anything but for the most part its true.
