i just got my wisdom teeth pulled and have a question that should have been aimed at the doctor but maybe some 1 here knows
i have the self dissolving stiches and heard from my friend i cant smoke because they will dissolve and need to be replaced
so can i smoke if not when is it safe to thnx

smoke can't dissolve those stitches.. i had some teeth pulled and had the same ones.. i was smoking a pack a day or more at that point (weed smoke wouldn't be any diffrent) and they stayed in even longer than the time i had them with another pulling....
they disolve with liquid.. the wetness in your mouth is what makes them dissolve...

i had surgery and had those stitches, i dont think it will tear them up, i had 12 of those in my mouth and swallowed them all within 2 days, it feels so wierd when there floating on top of your mouth

smoking wont dissolve the stitches, it will just retard the healing process and possibly cause an infection. i was translating this morning for a spanish gentleman who was complaining that his gums wouldnt stop bleeding around the entry point of a recent root canal. i had to keep telling him that he had to stop smoking or the wound wouldnt heal. he told me he thought it helped.

i think you're friend is probably confused as to why you're not supposed to smoke after getting teeth pulled.. lol

lol good chance sounds like somethin he would do but i think ill let the stiches heal for a few days before lightin up again
