No matter what you guys say, I won't be quitting soon, but I just wanted everyone's opinion. Is 14 going on 15 too young to smoke weed if used in a responsible manner?

I think its too young, but that's just my opinion. some kids can manage it, but I'm not sure if most can. whatever floats your boat though..
How can a 15 year old use in a responsible manner unless for medicinal need?
NOT REELY I STARTED WHEN I WAS 11 LOL. LONG LIVE WEED
I started at 15.... so yes it is too young
If you call your self FAT now i worry about the munchies giving you adult onset type 2 diabetes....
smoke weed, and work out, get buff, and score chics......
scoring chics is all you should be thinking about at 15.....
if you let it get in the way of school....ill come and kick your ass my self
I'd allow you to smoke it in my home, but i'd rather you didnt untill you were 16, so i'd say yeah, really 14 is a bit too young. 16 is an age where your not an adult but your starting to think more like one. And ive learnt that from personal experience... I started when i was 11, although for me it was a bloody good job too,.
Well, I only smoke maybe once a week, and when I do I like to philosophize(Don't know if that is spelled right) and like to study the music I'm listening to. It helps me become more open of myself too. I don't act like a vandal, I often scold people for doing stuff like that. And I keep my grades up, and do my homework. How is that NOT responsible use?Quote:

13 for me... I guess if you were responsible and did not make it the sole purpose of your life it is a reasonable age...
Lol, well Socrates, you seem to be be handling it well, so why question us if you already know the answer?
Are you unsure of something?
Smoke on, just make sure it *never* becomes a priority, especially when you're that age. ~
i started at 14 and it was fine. as long as you dont abuse it your good.
I also started when I was 15, but was too busy in HS to do it more than once a month or so.
Wow, 14 too young?
I was 12 when I started...but, in all fairness I only did it on occasion. Like 1-3 times a month. Then I took a long break when I moved and didn't start again till 15, almost 16.
I don't think its too young...
I'm just questioning you guys because I just want to see other people's opinion, and maybe scientific fact of weed on the teenage brain.
I think 14 is too young just because smoking Cigs at that age would be too young. I'm not saying 14 is to young to try it but smoke every week is to much even though it doesn't seem like much :o . Just take care of yourself bro, it's good to hear that you made a limit for yourself to once a week but they cutting down to once every 2 weeks. That lung life will really come in handy when your older. Then you can puff up just about anytime you want. Stay safe man  ...
im 14 too, and i dont think im too young. Im in an advanced international program in school and i get pretty good grades. Weed helps me relax about all the stress i get from school, and just to have fun. besides, id say im pretty mature and i know how to lead my own life. So, no, i don't think its too young, and dude, you know it best!
Same here, I'm in a program that gives you classes 1-2 years higher than you, and they are honor classes at that. Midterms are this week, and when I'm done studying, I'm headin straight to the bong.Quote:

But I turned out fine...right?
Just keep a level head, maintain your grades, and put your life first! (And stay away from couch lock weed) Peace!
Is that a weird way of showing love? sort of like uncle.Quote:

and it is fun. and im doing great in school.
just dont let it run your life. thats a warning to back off it for awhile.
i started at 18, back then i was glad to because if i was smoking durning high school i never would have graduated
i think i just shit my pants from laughing as a result of the type 2 diabetes remark. love when the type is said after diabetes, makes it a lot funnier, just like when the simplex is said after herpes
if you think its too young then it is,
if you didnt think it was then you wouldnt have asked this question
I am a big proponent of age 18 or 21.
If I would have started before I graduated, I probably would have never made it to college. As much as I love pot, i would have regretted it.
I don't think it is. I don't believe in age restriction at all. Sure the world would be fucked up if there wasn't any but, I am pretty much against all restriction. So, keep toking.
i started when 13 so i cant say nutin
i started at 13 and i have no regrets.
But this is not 'nam, there are rules for good reason.Quote:

Sure I might want to go grocery shopping in my underwear but I can't....there are rules.
if you look at every country around the world where the drinking age is under 18 there arent nearly as many under 21 deaths and accidents as a result of drinking. the sole purpose of that law is control. i think it should be to the discretion of the parents with all drugs, until eightteen. then of course whether the parents supports you is up to them
14...that means you are in high school, right?
i say no, thats not too young. just remember to concentrate on the things that are important, like school.
i dont really see how a fourteen year old could afford weed what are you buying it on your allowance. you are going to forget a lot of what you learned in a few years, and a lot of it isnt important anyway. but what is is that you graduate, and i know plenty of people who were dumb before smoking weed who smoked a shitload in highschool and did fine
I'm not sure where you are from, but I had a vehicle by the time I was 15. Been driving since I was really really young. (big ranch=lots of time behind the wheel)Quote:

I've seen dead people laying on black top...but don't get me wrong, I drive impaired all the time. I am guilty of it. Only thing is when I am an impaired driver, I take it seriously and take pride in getting my friends places safe on friday nights. If you are careless, you could end up dead. Simple as that.
I don't think I knew anyone in high school that didn't have their own wheels.
well youre wrong, its that simple. i was talking percentages, not overall amounts, and not specifically limiting it to car accidents i could get into detail, but i really dont care about proving you wrong.
yeah TheFatKid I first smoked right before my 15 birthday and i'm still 15 now. haven't been smoking too much lately since i've been trying to dodge a drug test, just don't let it mess with schoolwork or anything and just keep up a good lifestyle and you're straight
Percentages are based on actual numbers....are they not?Quote:

If there are more american teen drivers....of course we are going to have more accidents. Nearly every time I have ever drank, I have been in a vehicle at least once while intoxicated..whether as a driver or passenger.
In my opinion wait till your 16. I started when I was 14, and i was little immature and careless.
health issues completely aside, whether something is right or wrong or not is determined by culture. it's often illegal to puff, but that doesn't change the ideology of the cannabis culture, which celebrates pot in spite of laws. however there's also cultural prescriptions on a convivial level, that is to say in the family, which in your case may or may not be against the use of cannabis. until you get to the age that you separate yourself from the restraints of family allegiance, it's best to do whatever will appease the culture that exists within the walls of your family's house. of course, this is coming from someone who smoked intermittently since the age of twelve and never raised many parental concerns. it's up to your judgement and ability to maintain a normal appearance while stoned.
Very well said. Just because you have your own room and don't have to share a bunk with little brother does not mean that you can start bringing illegal substances into your parents home....or get arrested because of it.Quote:

My dad has 2 degrees and my mom/sister/brother have ivy league degrees. Pot had *no* place in my home growing up.
I would say thats too young. 18 sounds like a fair age. Why?
Because that's the age you can be drafted and go to war and die.
