I can remember reading "Go Ask Alice" and thinking 'Man, I can't wait to trip. It sounds so fun.' (Yup, the first time I got high was on 'cid)...then I picked up a copy of "On The Road" and thought, 'I can't wait to get high and travel' and so I did. Cheech and Chong sealed the deal. So, authors and actors were a major deciding factor in my high life. What were some of yours? Peace.
the reason i started smokin weed was cus my friend smoked weed and said it was mad fun and i was like what the hell so i asked somone for a dime bag.
Stoners in school. I never really knew what their problem was, but the glazed expression and general easy going nature always seemed attractive as a personality trait to me.
After a while I started realizing what was going on,
and I do remember watching Half baked with my brother a few times.
I also have faint memories of a cheech and chong video on some random movie night...
After a while I became more aware. Both of my brothers were heavy pot smokers, and I soon learned that that funny "pine" smell which emanated from my brothers room directly before he became an asshole for the night was marijuana. I learned to distinguish bong noises from sublime music in the afternoons, and when my older brother moved back home, started witnessing the act in person.
I remember how mystical it seemed... I wish I still felt like that. I've done and read so much to do with drugs that I feel like an expert...
when i was a wee lad i was with my good friends and one of them was like lets smoke weed... and me and my other friend were like i guess lets smoke with him and we did..
ever since then i still blaze with the same people we are family

my stupid ex boyfriend was hooked up with THE shadiest scummiest dealer I have EVER met or even heard of...
when he moved in, I begged him to just ditch this individual, and told him I had a wicked green thumb with roses and shit, how hard could it be to grow herb, so I started growing it before I even started smoking...
then he and his friends were like, "oh hey, this stuff isn't bad for a nOOb!!!" [yes, Her Dankness was a nOOb once too!]
and then another generation later when I had started selecting for sweet-candy smelling buds, "ow wow this stuff ROCKS!"
so I broke down and started smoking, lol...
and I kept at it because obviously I'm still breeding ganj, and also because it is amazingly helpful with my anxiety/panic attacks, which have literally disappeared since I started smoking in the evenings before bed.

I was 13, on my first cruise, in the Bahamas... I found my uncle smoking a joint in an old volcanic cave formation, and the rest is history. :)
I had friends who did it for 2 years, I said I might do it some unspecified amount of the time in the future possibly at the time, but I never took it farther than that. I really didn't care.
When I started hanging around all the honors-goody goody types (I'm one of the 'smart kids' as they say) I got so fed up with all the drama, and thought to go the complete opposite end of the spectrum, and start smoking to put it in simple terms.
Really, once you get to know the 'smart people' types you really get fed up after enough...
I found one of my mom's joints...and thought it was a cigarette. I was 10 or 11 or so. I smoked the shit out of it and got some wicked munchies. I kept stealing my mom's 'cigarettes' after that. She'd come back to find them half smoked and me playing video games in my room. She never confronted me, because of the legality behind it, I guess. It wasn't until I was 16 when I approached her and told her I could get some killer bud. (by then, I realized that they weren't cigarettes)
i used to be all against drugs, but i slowly started to find out the truth. then i got high for my first time, and was high ever since. cheers!
A couple of my friends smoked and it always seemed so fun. Then I just asked one of my friends if I could buy some off him. I've only been high about 9-10 times since. That number would be higher, but I haven't been able to get fucking weed since December 24. I WANT TO GET BLAZED :(
Unfourtunatly I will say that I blazed the first time to be "cooler" then I was.
When I was 11 some older kids (probably 15 or 16) asked me if i wanted to burn with them at a skatepark.
Naturally I went, and have been smoking since :jointsmile:

one day i managed to get my hands on some really nice hash,it was free cause i knew some cool people. so i ran to the mall to find a friend of mine that smoked pot, we ended up at his place and roll the hash into BT's and smoked them all, we just sat there and watched tv for like 2 hours we were so high, after that i decided to smoke up every day:rastasmoke:

Being depressed. And just because it seemed so fucking awesome, and it was.
At the time I had friends that I felt very close to and we went to a cave and decided to smoke together for our first time(with the exception of one guy, he was pretty seasoned). So we did, it was ok, but I kept seeing them go in odd directions with their lives becoming flaky and just letting weed take precedence over more important things, so I kept on toking with them to keep the friendship. Then I went through an episode and stopped smoking for about 4 or 5 months. Our friendships have since fell slowly apart. However I have become amazing friends with one guy I know who doesn't smoke since all this took place, and I have also since started toking again, knowing that some people let it absorb them and some people don;t and I happened to be one who doesn't let it become something more than it is(oh and my mom is completely cool with it because she has actually seen my ambition go up.)
Long story and a bit off topic, but i think to understand the reason why i first toked you have to know the whole bit.

My wife has been suffering from migrain headaches and she uses it to numb the pain, so when she offered to let me experiance the pleasureable holy herb i took her up on it. I liked it so much i married the woman.

I remember my first time. It was out of a can we found in an alley while ditching high school. it took me like two bowls and I was really stoned. I hate when people say they didn't get high. I was so gone.
I've always known when I was really young that my brother smoked weed, and I knew I was going to try, later. So yea, that's pretty much it I guess.

Pretty much life. I was getting bored with were I was going so I decided to see what "destroyed millions of peoples lives" and now I love it but have once again been arrested for a pipe so I got to quit.
Twas a christmas party at my uncles house up in the hills, my mum passed the joint to me, I now smoke on most days that end with y.
I found out when I was 7-8 that my mom was smoking weed. I'm not sure if she did any other drugs but I could always tell when she was high or something because she would stare around all paranoid and her mouth would be crooked lol, I would always fuck with her and laugh, kinda weird I guess. My moms habit made it look like that was the reason we lived ghetto so all of my life I was extremely anti-drugs and wouldn't even smoke when my friends were boxing blunts in a small f150 we were in (this never got me even buzzed which is why I don't believe in 'contact highs'), until I was 19-20 (few years ago) when I decided to join my friend in a blunt of white widow (what a first way to smoke, 2 heads on a blunt of widow haha). I felt funny as we sat on the bench and smoked it, I didn't really feel much at first just felt relaxed, then as soon as I stood up to walk to the car it was like BAM! I was blazed lol. I had to drive my stick car back to his house a few blocks and barely managed. After that I would smoke once in a while whenever someone else was, but lately in the last few months I've been buying my own and smoking almost daily, but only small amounts to keep my tolerance low.
i got high for the first time because my friends told me i would be cooler if i did it, so i did.

on my 13th birthday, it was just me and my dad, becuase my mom was in europe in the time, he took me into the garage and asked if i knew what weed was, lit up a joint, passed it to me and said happy birthday. I love my dad for that first moment with sweet mary jane.
Just that...getting high. i wanted to get high...see what it was like. Now i love the sweet sweet cheeva.
i was probably like 14 and had a couple older friends. Im not sure who the hell busted out a dimer but I was like fuck it. We dented up an old empty Coke can, popped some holes in the top of it w/ a pin and presto, ghetto bowl. Good times!!!

Haha first off I'l apologize for the short novel I'm about to write. I'm bored and feel like sharing my story. Well, I guess I was first "truly" exposed to bud when I was a freshmen in high school. Up until this point I was a pretty "good" kid. I had never been drunk, high, anything and I had never seriously considered trying anything. One of my friends started hanging out with his older brother (who had just started college that year) more and partying a lot and experimenting. One night I'm chillin' at this friend's house (his parents are out of town) and his older brother along with about 20 - 30 college kids burst in the front door after returning from a hockey game. Half of them were already drunk and the other half started drinking once they got settled in at my friend's house. So about two hours later just about everyone in this house is pretty faded and I'm walkin around still kinda freaked out because I had never been to a real party before. I go into the garage to grab a pop and see a circle of about 10 people passing around a pipe. I get even more freaked out and just grab a pop and leave. I had to go home about an hour later still wondering about what I had seen. So I ask my friend about it the next day and he explains to me that it was weed. He offers to smoke me out but I still had no interest in trying it and turned him down. The year went on and as he began to hang out more and more with the "party" crowd I kinda lost contact with him. So fast forward one year later. By this time I had been drunk for the first time and began to see that a lot of propaganda that U.S. anti-drug and drinking agencies use is complete bullshit and a lot of it is scare tactics. So now I'm getting curious. One day at the beginning of football practice my friend (different one) turns to me and explains to me that his girlfriend ended up taking him to some crazy party where he got drunk and smoked a blunt. He goes on about how awesome it was and I finally decided that I wanted to try weed. So that next day we call up the friend who I was talkin' about before who was then dealing at this point haha. We bought a dub and smoked it up with our old friend who we really hadn't hung out with in about 6 months. It was a good experience and I had a great time. Fast forward another two years I can't even begin to count the number of times I have chiefed since then. In fact, for the last year it's been almost a daily thing! :rastasmoke:
