I was watching cops the other day and they pulled over some dude who had marijuana. The marijuana was in a jar and on the top of the jar it had the word "Skywalker" written on it. The cop said that it might be his online name. So wouldnt that prove that cops do watch sites like this site?
Ive been really paranoid about this lately. :(

i believe skywalker refers to a strain, cuase why would he put an online name on his bud, in case other of his e-friends come across his stash? highly unlikely.
you're as safe as you want to be. whatever information you post is viewable by everyone who comes here, narc or not. just keep that in mind.

Actually I read an article about a sting narcotics officers set up over myspace. They talked to this 17 year old guy about buying 2 ounces of weed. They got him to meet them somewhere when they pounced on the car. He had two ounces in his lap and three in the back. Him and his sister both got arrested. How fucked are those guys? The government needs to stop wasting so much money on the marijuana war, but if they ever pull their heads out their asses no one knows.

Alot of people here are international, so im not sure which governments would be watching, but if you had a picture of yourself with mulitple pounds and a dro factory they might trace you. Also there's probably at least 10 if people here that are cops that post random shit. But they're only out to get the big dealers, so prob 99 percent of the people here are safe unless they deal online.
Cops visit this site so they can read your "where do you hide your weed" threads and know where to search when they're raiding people's homes.
Be careful with the information that you put on here. Email addresses, locations, links to your facebook/myspace with pictures of you, etc.
Just don't be dumb.

If it's more of a case of you coming on here and talking about using weed then I don't think you have to worry much, police have far more important jobs to do than wasting time busting us smokers on an Internet forum. I have seen many cops be very lenient when it comes to finding a small amount of weed on a person, they will obviously confiscate it but that's about it. Maybe a different story if you talk about dealing...who knows? But what I will say is that without a shadow of a doubt the police visit and or watch here. This is a brilliant place to learn any new lingo or to understand a drug user. I just wouldn't worry too much.

Yeah, small time users have little to worry about... It's those guys at the grow forums who posts their monster 'dro' gardens that need to worry... If they think cops cant trace their IPs (even when they use those 3rd party IP blockers) they are soooo wrong... I've seen several stories now on the grow forum where you see guys posting their grow journals only to disappear and never to be heard from again near harvest.
I would like to know what this website's policy is when it comes to cooperation with law enforcement! Is there any moderator here who knows if this site works with cops or cooperates with law enforcement in the USA and other countries? I know this site is based out of California (liberal state) so perhaps this site has legal grounds to protect our identities??? Or is this site just a proxy for the DEA to bust us morons who post here?
I looked but couldnt find any privacy policy and I'm concerned that you cant even access the grow sections w/o registering (IE making you traceable).
One more thing, is their a function available to the mods to delete all posts of a user if a users requests it? I mean, I understand not wanting to have 'blank' spots in threads but if a user was seriously worried about info posted being used against them, could the mods help a member out in destroying self-incriminating evidence (providing of course there is no current ongoing legal action pending against the individual)?
