is it just me or is my mom a bitch?

so heres the lowdown:

ive been blazing for the past 2 years, my moms wanted to be a cop since she was 5. 3 years ago she tried for rcmp and tore her mcl in her knee and was sent home. now shes tryying for ottawa police and tells me not to smooke blah blah... she had an interview with the cops and TOLD THEM I SMOKE WEED! fucked up eh? i know. worst part is, if she doesnt makeit shes blaming me and my smoking of weed. she also told her mom and brother abiut me to embarass me out of it. ive told my parents on many occasions that i dont plan on stopping and that i enjoy it, in a mature adult way and the only way they respond is by yelling at me or calling me an idiot pothead ect. so they ask me about weed and shit, i completely school them on their "facts" but it dpesnmt matter to them because theyre quite closeminded and live life by the book, if its illegal = devil (pretty much). so now my mom has been saying shes gonna send me to rehab (at first i didnt want to, now i dont give a fuck, ill fail the tests) and she called my friends parents trying to organise an intervention for me and my friends (what a bitch!) so im mad pissed off and have no clue what to do... its fucked

you know i guess i was just lucky in life, i can smoke herb right in front of my parents it never bothered them one bit.

honestly i think this is really important to your mom and you just dont see that, i mean really you cant blame her, she believes what she thinks is right.
telling everyone you smoke herb is just her way to get you to stop, because she think it will mess you up.

granted this is not true but it what she is going to believe, say you quit, and really quit for awhile,show her its not a big deal and chances are if you smoke again she may not hate it as bad.

smoke a joint right in ur house, that will make things better... till you buzz wears off lol:jointsmile:. but seriously that is fuckin bull shit i would snap!

dude, if i was in your situation, id tell her to fuck off and drop the subject, then, just to spite her i would go out front and stand in the middle of the street screaming "I SMOKE WEEEEEEEEEEEEED!!!!!!!!!!!!! IM A POTHEEEAAAD!!!!!!!!!"

hey man moms are bitches and its good that you tell her that you smoke and all that good stuff. honesty is the best policy with parents. maybe your mom doesnt like it because it affects your grades in school? i know thats why my mom hated me, but as my grades started progressing so did her attitude on me smoking pot (even though ive found her papers and secret stash.....good shit too). she even told me the other day that she has no problem with me smoking pot as long as my grades are good

dude, what she's doing has nothing to do with her life long dream, i think everyone should pursue their life long dream... but she made the choice to tell them her son smokes weed, she didn't need to do that for her 'dream'... your logic is flawed... now because she just had to tell them (when they didn't even need to know that) she's going to blame it on him... when more than likely (probably about 98% chance) that when/if she fails, it's because of her performance in testing...

Tell her that you're her child and she as a mother should always guide you to the path that you most desire, as it is your life that she created, not hers. the realationship between a mother and son is a unique one. one that defies comprehension, we all dont' want to talk about it, but if anything ever happens to our mothers, we would disrupt the earth rotation to make sure she's okay.

So i just thought about it abit more, regarding adults and their closeminded ways. it's not that we should convince them of accepting and liking marijuana, but we just have to change their perspective on how they think about it. like you said, Illegal = devil. so think about something your mother loves to do. anything, but as long as she loves it, and then put a what if spin on it. perhaps she loves those pills that relax her after a long day. those pills she bought over the counter, now ask her what she would do if they made tose pills illegal. imagine if sex was illegal, imagine if sunday roasts were illegal. would they become the devil?

the reasons why marijuana is still illegal is all too apparent although we know it's fairly harmless to a certain extent. explain these reasons to her and although she won't like marijuana any more so, she will be aware about factors like the governments not being able to tax a plant.

i'm smoking some real good shit today.

A parent's responsibility is to do what the parent believes is best for the child. When you become an adult, and are no longer a child, then you are free to do what you desire.

dude don't get all pissy. just keep it on the dl if its causing you problems. trust me, you don't want to fuck up relationships with your parents. consider that she does this because she cares about you. yea you might not agree with her, but at least she wants to be a part of your life and she thinks weed is the only thing you are concerned about. my mom was literally the same way in that she would tell relatives even if she caught me drinking. i came to the realization that she really just loves me and wants what she believes is best. don't butt heads w/ her and just keep your smoking to a reasonable level. weed should enhance your life, not be your life.

I wanted to add, I highly doubt I would ever sell my son out... for weed, for ANYthing. I mean, unless he had done something ridiculously dangerous, and/or someone or something was going to get hurt, then I would intervene. I will always try to instill good values in my son, and being responsible is one of them... but I don't think I could ever rat him out.

Move out, and tell her to never talk to you again. We only get one mother yeah... but if they're that hellbent on stopping their child from enjoying a plant then you dont need em.

Sounds like mom had every right to say what she wants. I take it that you still live with her? If so, then kiss her ass and thank her every day for taking care of you. So what if she said you smoke weed. It's the truth. Can't hide from the truth. Also, if she doesn't want you smoking (at least in her house), then don't do it. I don't know about the law where you're at, but if the cops were to bust in and fine your weed, they'd bust your mom on it. Especially if she knew about it. Either have an ounce of respect for your mom (and I don't care for people that don't respect parents), or move out on your own. It's that easy.

I'm glad my mum lets me blaze in the house and she would NEVER grass me to the 5-0 That's deplorable. If she was serious about me not smoking though, I would respect her and not smoke in the house. I'd move out if you could. Seriously. Biaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatch!
