the hate against vaporizers

i have the vaporwarez vapor cannon, it rocks.
whats with all the hate? i've read alot of you hating on vaporizers because its "just not the same" and ruins the "social vibe"

those are so not true. i had it in my dorm room and we always had people over passing the tube around, and we could smoke it inside without worrying about the smell.

Your an idiot, if you knew anything, you would know that personal preference absolutely does not matter. If someone says a vaporizer is shitty for the two reasons you stated, then they're right, and your an idiot. Think about it. Same as music, food, and style. I've never heard anyone badmouth a vape, they sound great to me.

i love my vape so much i dont even like smoking anymore. since i started vaping my lungs reject smoke so much more and it just isnt pleasant. i think they are an awesome addition to any party, it def. makes for a crazy night when i hook up my vape.

i havent heard of any hate on vapirozers, but if their is thats absurd. the people saying that are prolly hitting a vapor brothers box vape or something, smoke a volcano vape and see if u will ever smoke a joint again (a Little sarcasm)

Hardly any of this is true. Can't take them anywhere? Look at the HappyVappy and the Herbalaire. Both have car chargers, and are much more discreet toking from in a car than a pipe. I don't blow out air, nor smoke, but vapor, and yes I can see the whiteness of it when I exhale. There is still a smell, it's just different. The high is slightly different, and better. It burns the THC, but usually leaves CBD and CBN behind (hence why you can still cook with it, but the edibles don't usually get you high so much as sleepy). Cost? Not much more than a fancy shmancy bong. I have well over $1000 in glass pipes, bongs, bubblers, and since I got my vape, they collectively get used 5% of the time. And whoever said, try walking down the street with a vape like you would a blunt, who the fuck is stupid enough to smoke a blunt while walking down the street? Probably someone who blindly hates on vapes without doing their research...

None of this means anything what so ever and you know it.

Even if it's a battery vape it needs to be charged, which means it runs out of power. You can take it anywhere, not like a joint or a blunt.

And in England it's a normal thing to see people walking about with joints and blunts... but you couldnt do that with a vape.

There is no way any vape can look discreet.

I didnt say vapes were a bad thing, but i cannot see the point of wasting money on one unless you need it for medicinal reasons.

They're good for people who need them for medicinal reasons but not good when smoking in a group. And the good ones cost alot, the cheap ones are either crap or dont last as long and that's what i've been told by people who love vapes.

Lip, if it's personal preference, then why not stop preaching all the reasons to NOT buy a vape. Also, neither the HappyVappy nor the Herbalaire are battery charged, and you can go out and buy the car adapter which changes your cig lighter into an AC outlet.

As far as wasting money, I don't care what the studies say, almost everyone who has used a vape reports getting higher from a smaller amount. So you make an investment now to save you money in the future. And if you don't see a point in people getting them unless its for medical reasons, how about to prevent those medical reasons from ever occurring?

It's funny, because we all know cannabis doesnt cause cancer, and i've been an extremely heavey smoker for years, and i've never had a cough from it, not to mention anything else. So in 20 years time i'll be smoking a joint like i am today... and you'll be running around to find power to vape your weed...

Personal preferance... to me vapes are a waste of time, a waste of money and a completely unsociable way to smoke.

But that doesnt mean they're not good. Especially for medincinal reasons.

But i've never heard of anyone needing a tracheotomy though cannabis use.

ive never smoked an expensive vap. I did however own one of those 40-50$ ones with the glass ball and i have to say it was the worst way ive ever smoked bud, it tastes bad and the smoke leaks out while your using it so you gotta smoke the whole bowl right away, then when its ready to cash its too hot to handle for a good 10-15 mins and on top of all that my room still reeks of bud.

No cannabis on it's own doesn't cause cancer. If you vaporize or eat it, you're fine. But smoking ANYTHING increases your chance for cancer. It's not just the tars in cigs that do damage to your lungs, but the actual process of smoking as well. Prior to becoming a habitual cig smoker, all I toked on was weed. Gravity bongs, regular bongs, joints, blunts, pipes, bubblers, etc. And yet every morning I'd wake up with a terrible cough, and hack up black/gray phlegm. If smoking cannabis isn't harmful, then why was this happening? No, I was not living in a polluted area, I was out in the middle of cow country. So it HAD to be the fact I was smoking my weed. Now that I've stopped smoking cigs and use my vape almost all the time, no more coughs and no more black phlegm. But I guess it's all about personal experience, and not what some study or others say, so I'll keep hitting the vape, and everyone can smoke the way they want to. It's not how you get to the end of the rainbow, as long as you get the pot of gold at the end, right?

Yep, those are garbage. You need to spend at least $125 to get a good one, which isn't more expensive than a really nice bong. My blue dot with all the accessories ran me around $280, and my vape with all the accessories cost $249.

And all that time i was smoking cannabis as well. So you must have very weak lungs.

It's never done me no harm what so ever, and i dont think vapes are good enough to spend that amount of money on.

The most i've ever spent on smoking appartus is about £60. Nothing is worth anymore than that, at all.

Like i said, it doesnt bother me how you get high, but i'll continue to smoke it.

But as you said, the goal is to get high... by what ever means necessary.

I agree, I don't hate people who vape, I just don't like vaporizers, if I'm going to buy a tool for smoking I'd rather something more pleasing to the eye

I think the original poster was talking about people like LIP. Just ignore them, they obviously don't have any experience with vaporizers. The couldn't possibly have; to spout as much bullshit about them as they do. haha.

It's just a personal preference. Some people like the Backstreet Boys or Lil Bow Wow, me on the other hand, can't comprehend why anyone would like that crap, but I don't get mad about. Some people like it, some don't.

I have used vaporizors before. Unfortunatly, I haven't had the chance to use the Volcanom, which I hear is amazing, but I still have a BC Vaporizor I bought some time ago. I think vaping is great for sitting alone, chilling and relaxing, but I found in a social scene, that vaping was quite boring. I enjoy seeing the smoke billow around us, the smell, the cherry burning and lighting the bowl up and watching people who don't smoke much choke on the good stuff. :p

In the end, it's what we all enjoy. I don't use the vape anymore as it has since crapped out, but when I first got it, I loved the thing.

It's not my health I was concerned about, but I think it is a great option for anyone who can't smoke, need to stealth smoke, and for someone where smoking irritates their throat.

I have to say that I definitely prefer smoking a nice fat joint or a pipe instead of a vap. That being said, I still use my vap 90% of the time.

Two main reasons, first is the smell. My wife hates the smell of smoke and won't come near me if I've been smoking. Plus she doesn't want the smoke in the house, blah, blah, blah.

The second reason is the high. With a vap I get a much clearer headed high. With a vap I'm happy and high, when I smoke I'm stoned and stupid. If I'm busy (which is most of the time) I can vap and just happily go about my work without getting distracted and/or burned out.

On those rare occaisions when I'm not busy, the wife's not around, and I just want to get baked and kick back to watch a movie or listen to music, I always go for the pipe or the bowl.

Man, a lot of words and typing slamming one another but then both sides always end with "it's personal preference". I side with vaping. My lightbulb and a candle is cheap, easy to use, portable, and best of all knocks me on my ass using little bud. I'm thinking about buying a vapolution, but I don't wanna spend all the bucks. I have hit some sick vapes, Vapir, the wares and the Volcano itself. It got me high as all hell, but still, smoke tricks are fun, and vapes arent that traditional, theres nothing like sitting back with a loaded bong and a few friends, or a rolled blunt or jay, packed pipe, whatever. Nothing like exhaling that first bong rip, the cloud of opaque thick white smoke coming out of your mouth.
I wont hate on vapes though, they are healthy and get you ripped off less pot.

my friend has a vape, its pretty good. it only really works for me if the weed is decent...otherwise i get a slight buzz and i feel i need roll something up to finish it off. However, good shit in a vape is very good...smoked some shit my friends friend got from cali in a vape. was fucked up for hours

how can anybody say smoking doesnt have a bad effect on your lungs? i know tons of guys who had to stop smoking because it was interfering with their sports, activities, etc. plus, i hate spending lots of money on weed, that s why my vape is so amazing; it gets me and whoever is with me, a lot more high off of much less green then a pipe or bong, hands down...its so efficient. i rarely ever smoke outside of a house or my car, and since vapes can go to both, why is it that they are restrictive? im one of those people who likes to get as high as possible, and since i started vaping my highs are twice as good as when i smoke. Everyone passed the bag like a huge 4 foot Joint LOL it got a lot of peeps stoned.

Plus vapes are great when stealth may be an issue - think Ninja student smokers etc

Although I'm hesitant to reinforce LIP's delusions of omnipotence, I have to agree with him here. I definitely think a joint or a pipe is more social. because i damn sure know i don't want to sit around waiting for it to heat up... and using a machine to get high, imho does take away from the sociability... in the end, you still get high... true... but a bong/pipe and especially joint just scream 'sociability' a vape doesn't...

It meant that everyone got to try getting high even if they don't/can't/won't smoke - but we still passed blunts and a some pipes etc.

However: Vapes with whips or small personal vapes etc are different and I can see why they would not be considered sociable. Lip is right - sitting in the corner with your vaporizer to yourself is nothing like passing the Dutchie from the left hand side :rasta: my older vaporizer had 2 whips so you could share (or race LOL!) but its nothing like the volcano.

No, i havnt tried a vape, because i dont belive in them. If someone offered me a hit, i'd seriously concider it, because i like trying new things, but i dont think i'd enjoy it.
