odds of being caught with nug in your car and not getting arrested?

ok lets say your car happens to reek of burnt herb at the time, its about 2 am and you get pulled over, searched, and they find a small bag (maybe a couple g's?) in your car. if you guys had to guess, around what percentage of the time do you think the cops would arrest you?

All depends in wisconsin...some cops let you go with an anormas fine, some will "just take the weed away" lol I love that one. Speaking from past experiences.

depends on the amount and location i would imagine. If you have a obviously visible amount, 1/8oz-1oz, i would lean towards the arrest. But if you have a blunt or two or some roaches in Denver or California, you could have a chance.

Never carry more than you can eat. I could eat 3-4 joints pretty quick. I probably couldn't eat more than 1/4oz before the cop knew what i was doing.

many times cops have found me in possesion of some grass.I have never been arrested or ticketed for possesion.

yeah, its deff not 100%, as far as my exp. goes, 1 time had the bud "confiscated," twice fined, and once, had to appear before a judge. i can't say i was ever let go with my bud.

they will most likely confiscate it and give you a huge fine with some probation...and drug and alcohol classes which blow

woww...id get paranoid living in the states...inside you can get caught by your folks and outside its the cops...dam!

yeah im in florida and he found about a 2 grams i think but just made me call my mom(why?) and made me dump it out

I have been caught trespassing and discharging a stolen firearm (45) and the cop let us both go and gave us 'our' gun back (we were only like 17 yrs at the time). Coolest cop ever.

Why exactly are you consenting to a search on a traffic stop? Unless it's in plain sight or they have probable cause (and i'm not sure smelling it qualifies) they have NO right to search your car.

where im from it depends on what piggy you get caught by some just confiscate and give you a stop and search form.

personally ive never been caught with weed touch wood.

If it's in one baggie and not over a 1/4, here in Maine, you'll just end up with a fine. If the cop thinks you're driving under the influence of marijuana then you're on your way to the station.....it's hit or miss really. Just a tip, even if you're not a slob, keep a messy trunk....put some car trash in it, you know, like mcdonald's, burger king, soda cans or whatever....before you drive, hide your weed amongst the refuse and chances are, even if you're searched, without a dog that is, it will likely remain hidden and whatever you do, never keep it in an obvious spot. Peace.

You guys are mistaken and need a reality check if you think that you can actually refuse a search. If a cop thinks there is weed, he is going to search the car, and most of the time it actually will smell from where he is if its inside the car and not in the trunk.

First off, if you refuse to a search you immediately raise suspicion level. Second, they can always claim to have smelled the weed initially which would justify searching you.. and since he would have then found the weed, it would hold up.. But most of the times when a cop makes a traffic stop (something he does dozens upon dozens of each day) its not going to be on his mind unless you do something to make it obvious.

Oh btw, third: K9 units can search the car because the dogs can even smell it without even getting into the car (thus, not searching your stuff) and at least around here a K9 unit could be on the scene within 5-10 minutes.

with my luck i dont know, i get pulled over for going 5 over. I do know my friend has the best luck tho, hes been caught on several occasions. One time a cop actually told him to drive home, when he admitted to being drunk while driving, not the smartest thing to do, but atleast he didnt get a dui. They usually just take the weed for themselves, and make you break your piece, and send you on your merry way. This is only in my county tho in kentucky. Im sure in louisville i'd be fucked.

It was confermed by a friend of mines cop brother that atleast half of the weed taken is off the record, and kept for personal use.

Another time they were baking the car, and a cop pulled up, when all 5 of them got out, the smoke rolled out, and was definatly seen. The cop just took the weed and let them on their way.

my friend got pulled over with an eigth and his bong... and they smashed the bong, and took the bud and let my friend go.
