Yeah ok i heard about it and was intruiged, read enough old threads on it to understand what was going on.
I just have one question?
Who the fuck got stoned enough that they thought to put rice in there bong?
I mean, whats the mindset behind that desicion?
Why would you put rice in your bong?

No one got stoned and decided to put rice in a bong. Rice absorbs heat and is a good cleaning agent, so someone put 2 and 2 together.
You use dry rice in your bong, fill it, and it makes the hits much smoother. Call it stupid, but it works.
It's not stupid, only the people who know nothing about it and jumpt to conclusions. ;)
id do it to break up the bubbles so theyd cool more...
ive used rice and alcohol to clean the bong..

it is not as cool of a hit as ice water but less mess and less stinky bong smell
plus after all the rice is nice and resiny you can cook it and eat it, yum!
ill stay using ice and water.

we put some water into our DIY bong, and freeze it (against the side) and then fill with refridgerated water when we're ready to smoke.

Exactly. There is no need to add water with the rice, it won't make it a bonus filter or anything. If anything, all the rice will expand and get sticky, making it impossible to fully clean.Quote:
