Big, REALLY EMBARASSING question

Would any of you EVER kiss your own cousin?

We've all heard the term kissing cousins but how many of you have or have even heard of someone actually kissing their cousin?


Me and my cousin we're both in relationships with people and I moved in with her (long story and its boring) and whenever i hung out with her around my g/f there was this weird chemistry between us.
When i broke up with the girl I was going out with she had already broken up with her boyfriend shortly before that. Now the bad thing is I'm physically attracted to her and she hasn't made any sign that she is attracted to me, however one time when we were really young she did bring up that cousin could get married in our state.
So Now I'm really confused, we talk all the time and hang out together and i make jokes and find myself acting really natural around her and we both are interested in a lot of the same things and have the exact same views environmentally and politically.
So I was thinking that instead of letting these incestuous thoughts drive me insane I should just come up with something really charming to say and then kiss her. That way she can either reject me and say she doesn't like me at all in that way, or we could make out and it would totally relieve the whole situation.

The human mind is such a confusing and interesting thing. I dont think you should feel embarrased but maybe you should think about the repercussions of what this would mean if you tried to form something deeper than a friendship with her. The consequences wont be pretty for you and your family. You sound like you like her but prolly dont understand completely what your feeling. I think its possible she has alot of characteristics in a girl that you like that you havent seen in other girls so your immediately drawn to her. Reexamine yourself and think this through!

I gotta know, what the crap does all this "second, third, etc. cousin" and "once/twice/n times removed" mean?

If theres no blood relation, I don't see the problem. I know someone who had sex with their "cousin" but they were only cousins through marriage, so its not like there was blood-relation.

also, its not like i would ever wanna have a baby BY her, id at least go for something like adoption because i doubt she would either. my cousin has very high standards to be honest there would be a very high likelyhood of her getting freaked out and never talking to me again. so i don't think it would even be worth it. i just though i could get some advice first hand from someone because situations are different in reality.

at the very least im gonna work-out and get my life up to a point where im up to her standards, that way i can find a girl just like her and feel confident in the relationship.

OK, now for a little geneology-relationship info for those of you who were curious. "First cousins" describes the relationship between children of two direct siblings. So my first cousins are the children of my mom's brother or sister. (Or my dad's. If any of my parents' siblings have kids, those kids are my first cousins.)

"Second cousins" describes the relationship between the children of first cousins. My first cousin Elaine, who is my mom's brother's daughter (my uncle's daughter), and I both have sons.
