WHY DID THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN!!!???

Yo ok. I am at my grandparents for Christmas dinner. But before I went, I picked up some real good weed. Well, I drove out there with my car because I was planning on just staying there for only a couple hours so I could go and smoke my weed. I am not that much into family get togethers. My stepdad eats with his mouth open and its annoying as hell. And then he decides to sit next to me at the dinner table. Now dude, I love him because he's like my dad but still it just annoys me so much. So I went downstairs to take a nap to get away from the madness that was building.

Here where things get fucking shitty. I wake up and I decide to go home. My parents are still there. Well, my stepdad decided to want to ride home with me. I'm like "what the fuck??!!". That just blew my plans for smoking away. I sucked it up and had to make some changes. My dad was at my stepbrothers' house eating but I didn't want to go over there. So I was stuck so I said I was going to go to my dads anyway and I ran in the house to get my weed and lighter and pipe. I was going for a smoke ride! But I had so much time to kill. I ended up driving for like an hour or 2 just bumming. I had to get gas.

this thread was a total let down,i thought you killed someone or something.

oh well, there's always other times to get high.

That sucks man, its pretty annoying when that stuff happens, like the other night my parents were gonna go out for dinner then walk around this place thats like, 30min away. So needless to say I had the house to myself for at least 4 hours or so.

Then all the sudden my dads like "hey we decided not to go, were gonna go to sonics" so I went to sonics with them instead.

WTF....You know I got to talk on the phone for only 15 minutes today. You know what my son did today Great spirit? He faught an 18 year old kid that had both his arms blown off today and did not want to be operated on so he proceeded to fight them with his shredded stubs.

He spent the rest of the day harvesting organs from soldiers that were turned off of life support and he spent the day hearing the mothers, little brothers and sisters and dads cry while machines were turned off. You'd think they would at least wait until the day after Christmas!!

hey man you got your smoke run.. and you should have enjoyed it more.. its not just endless driving.. its an experience. good music, good people, good vibes, and hotboxing is a wonderful thing. getting gas is always lame and i agree that id rather have a root canal than goto a family gathering.

i dont even schedule smoking time when im with my family, one time i brought this dank ass weed with me to cali on thanksgiving last year, well i could never get away from my family, so finally i asked to borrow the rental car, which was a really nice car, and said i was going to the store or something, i ended up driving around socal for a few hours and getting blazed as fuck. i couldn't find anyone to get high with though, i talked to this girl on here who lived in socal right where i was. but she never responded with any contact info.

would've been so cool to meet up with someone and get high. especially a female ;)

Secondly, yes my son joined, so what. He had 2 friends die in the war. He was working as a surgery technologist and against all advice from me he wanted to help. I wanting him to continue school. (I don't think all soldiers are bad, I know several people who have done tours in Iraq and all of them say stuff like "This isn't what we came here for anymore".) I would probably liken "The war on terror" to our "confrontation" with Vietnam.

I have posted here as well as many other places, my objection to this war. I have never ever suggested 9/11 was connected to Iraq it has been just the opposite so you are barking up the wrong tree here little doggy.

Thats not really fair Breu..the draft legislation during the world wars was set up to control the infastructure...they needed certain people to go and others to stay. It was a way to organized who stayed and who went. The draft was not opposed, everyone wanted to join. They were afraid of losing so much manpower at home because so many joined.

The drafting of 18-year olds was desired by the military but vetoed by public opinion. Blacks and Asians were drafted at the same rate as whites. The experience of World War I regarding men needed by industry was particularly unsatisfactory too many skilled mechanics and engineers became privates.

Farmers demanded and were generally given occupational deferments many volunteered anyway...

It can't be compared to what the draft was in vietnam or what it would be today.

Oh my God Oneir, that is just terrible! Your poor sister. Well the silver linning is she found out before the marriage.

We just had to kick this guy out of our house. We have a big 5 bd house and sometimes we take in people that are trying to get on their feet. My husband and I come from a small town without street people and we live in the city now. It is really hard to see homeless people sleeping in the cold. Our rule is they can't have a prison record unless it is for growing weed because I refuse to see that as a crime. Also they can't be on meth or any of that crap. Not that I don't think these people need help I am just not trained to do it. Well anyway he told me he had been in jail but it was just for weedc...so I said ok.

His Church called me and vouched for him too! I should have known better. He made me uncomfortable so I did some research and he too was a sex offender and had raped a 12 year old. What is it with these creeps and 12 year olds?

I'm sorry to hear about your son, but thats his problem since he decided to be a soldier.

This thread was not even for the Politics section. I am guessing Psycho moved it from the Cannabis Lounge to here.

Its the point that since he never rides with me...he wanted to ride with me right when I wanted to go smoke.

Considering this was in the lounge, where people complain about their bunyons, bad haircuts, and momma's snoring, I think maybe everyone might have over-reacted a little.

Something like having to deal with 'Iraq' does put little problems in perspective, but still, who doesn't bitch about the trivial from time to time? Unfortunately, getting it moved to politics escalated it to comparisons with National emergencies.

It wasn't originally a political thread, but if you'll read back up above, you'll see it turned into a somewhat heated discussion about the war and began generating some langauge that was questionable for the Lounge.
