Parenting Sub-forum

I just thought you might want to think about adding a parenting sub-forum to the message board. This would be a place for parents and/or soon-to-be parents to discuss family issues in relation to cannabis. A forum where people can discuss parenting advice in general from perhaps different perspectives. It would be nice to get new and refreshing views on parenting from the cannabis community....specially those who perhaps have "been there, done that, bought the t-shirt".

Besides, communities are built upon FAMILIES (blood or not).

Just a thought....

Well, I dont think that topic is big enough to spread into it's own section but definately a sticky thread.

All I have to say to all you parents out there...

No matter what you say, we are going to do it... you can do the smart thing and talk to us calmly about it, and not get angry... that why we will have the security to tell you when we are high, and you will know, rather than you being an asshole about it and us hiding it from you.

I just thought there might be people out there who struggle with decisions regarding cannabis and parenting. And perhaps there are people who have first hand experiences who can assist and/or share experiences that might help others find a center they feel will make their life happy.

Should I continue smoking?
Can I afford it?
What are the health effects for a woman?
How do I balance parenting and personal life to ensure happiness?
How do I talk to my child about cannabis?

I think these are all valid questions/conversations that responsible people could benefit from on these forums. It's almost like an online support group if those involved choose it to be.

Man, that can deffinately get a sub forum, maybe even a forum. Personally I think it's a great idea. Although, I can't see too many parents visiting this site. I'm sure there are some, but it just doesn't seem like a place they'd go...

I'd love a place for parents. I think there are more here than you think, and I personally am about to adopt kids, and would really welcome a forum like that.
If not, I would love to chat with you- I think we have similar concerns:)

parenting forum good idea i have 4 kids and im sure there is alot more parents on this site than people think remember the apple dosent fall far from the tree

I think it would be a good idea too. My mom knows I smoke, and grow, and she seems fine with it, but I don't think she is ok with the fact that she is "fine with it". Do you know what I mean? I think she needs reassurance from other parents about the nature of marijuana, and how other parents deal with their kids in relation to pot.

:p My Father smokes, yet i feel kinda weird about it. He'd always go sneak off somewhere and smoke it and come cough'n and shit. But he'd always hide it.

When i was baby i didn't know what he was doing. When i was a teenager and stayed with him, i'd scam some of his stash. He even scolded me once when he caught me smoking.

Since i'm of legal age, he smoked with me a few times. The times he smoked with me he acted really weird, almost angry and i couldn't relax around him. Now i turn him down for joining in with smoking and don't talk much on the subject with him.

I'm not opposed to him smoking, it's not for me and him to do together.

Maybe this would be a good idea for the community forums...It is up to Sundance; You know...He has been pretty good with new suggestion's for expanding the board...
you got my vote. I think it would be great as long as punks didn't start smelling the place up, because they disagree with Adult philosophy...

i dont know about this one....i am undecided..we havent had a big call for a section like this over the past few years, and the handful of questions we have had are usually posted in the lounge...whether i agree or not, i think it is great someone has a positive idea to try to better our community here...ty for caring tc1...

Please put up a parenting forum. I am a father of 2 young children and I would love to be able to discuss the unique issues I face as a pot using dad with others in the same situation!
