First grow, White widow, Pure diesel kush
Hey everyone, new grower here. My growing conditions are as follows
A 2 section closet, about 5 feet of space from the ground the to light; towards the top of the light on each section there is one vent allowing equal airflow. Soon to add a CFM fan to each vent.
2 plants: White Widow and Sour Diesel x Pure Kush (aka "Pure diesel kush"). These are clones from the local co-op I picked up 2 days ago, so they should have good genetics.
My current veg light is a 250W MH and my flowering light is a 400W HPS, on 18/6.
I have one small fan facing horizontally to blow a light breeze on the plants and push the hot air up towards the vent. The temps are between around 70 at night and 76 in the afternoon.
Soil is fox farms ocean forest, my nutes are the 3-part gen-x line from grotek and superthrive, I just watered the diesel with a dab of superthrive and the grow nute.
Now for the first pics, One of the Diesel and a few leaf shots of some problematic leaves of the White Widow, I'll have more full plant pics up tomorrow of both.

Hmm, did you check pH of soil? They don't look over fed and they def don't look underfed so that's the only thing I could think of. Either way your set-up sounds nice! Be sure to keep us in touch with your grow :).

Thanks orange, the PH of the soil *should* be balanced because thats what they promise on the bag, but just to make sure ill be getting a digital PH testing kit over the weekend (I'm using my dads pool ph testing kit :o ). I raised them up to the light as to stop any stretching and they look better. They just had to have some time to let their roots stretch into my soil.

Awesome, thanks. As you can see right now they are in 3/4 of 2 Liter soda bottles (not my choice, but I had to plant them in something right away). I have pots ready but I'm going to wait on a transplant I don't want to cause any more shock. When should I start hitting them with nutes?

Yah those are the Diesel kush, the white widow is looking a bit sad but I'm going to give it some growth nute tomorrow at its next watering and see how it does.

Well the WW is growing alot of nodes but doing sort of poorly, but I made some minor changes and watered it just with pure water and will continue to do so until it gets back to normal. The diesel kush is doing well, its grown another node, I'll also be continuing feeding this one water for the next couple of days.

lookin good so far, those 2 litre bottles should take a 3 ft plant right through to maturity, but if you want to re-pot, go 4 it...

Wow, ok.. Sorry guys I was away on vacation, happy new year. I left my plants alone for 3 days and came back... The runt pure diesel kush plant shot up to the size of the widow and the widow grew what looks to be about an inch, holy shit I was so suprised. The root system is visible from the side of the pots, its gotten really huge. I'm so happy I came home to this. Anyways, pictures to come tomorrow.

Seriously? Wow I didn't think they could go all the way through flowering in those little pots!? They seem a little small for the plants already I think I'm going to do one more transplant in about a week or so depending on how fast they grow.

Pic 1 is The diesel kush, Pic 2 Is the white widow (notice the bottom leaves were just really destroyed but I think it doesnt really matter because the new leaves are very healthy, all green) Pic 3 is the top of the white widow, Pic 4 Is the root system of the diesel kush, Pic 5 is the WW root system, and Pic 6 is the diesel kush (closest) and the WW. hey man, they do look like they're doing well now. tops look healthy. :D
you might want to darken those pop bottles somehow. black paint? roots don't like light and now that they're starting to show on the sides it may affect them.

THanks dude, actually im just going to transplant them into standard 3-gallon pots soon when I put them into flowering

sooner the better. get some root stimulator too, you'll be amazed at the explosion of new growth. like taking a plant from floro's to summersunlight. i use green light's root stimulator every transplant. use as directed, it won't burn.

Can superthrive be used as root stimulator? Just curius because when I transplanted I watered them several hours before with superthrive then x-planted and watered them lightly again with superthrive.

i've not used super thrive, but other have and do use when transplanting. i wait for the soil in the pot to dry, then transplant into dry soil, then drench thoroughly with the stimulator. i don't water before, because it makes the dirt fall apart.

Hey all, its their first week into flowering under the 400w HPS lamp, Its day 5 flowering. I'm gunna start adding the 3 part nute system next watering.

Very nice man! Those have really shot up in the last ~ 2 weeks eh? :D I'm interested to see how those Grotek ferts work out because I thought about using them next time. Keep us updated cigar. :)
Too bad the HPS is fucking with your cam. You can fix the yellowing in iPhoto by sliding Temperature down a little, and then slide Tint and Exposure up a bit. Playing with those or some others in iPhoto or Photoshop or something could help. Of course that won't help with the graininess. :what-to-do?:

Ok, well I think it's the way I resized the photos that screwed with them, so next photos ill tweak differently. Next watering im going to be using all the 3 part system (I've only used the grow and the micro on one plant). Pics to come after watering

Pics 1/23 day 7 flowering. Watered with 3-part system all at proper measurements and PH balanced also with a hit of thrive. Looking awesome so far, I need something to hide the smell, its smelling up the whole room (either a carbon scrubber or those disks from vaportek). I swear the kush shot up an inch since yesterday and to be honest it's kind of worrying me that I wont have enough space, I'm only working with about a good solid foot or so of space and I think its too late to LST them (right?). Whatever, all is well so far and I'm not going to worry. PICS PICS!(finally fixed the pic quality :rastasmoke: )

Awesome grow journal and pics! I am also growing the pure diesel kush but am about 1.5 months behind you, so I am anxious to see how yours turns out. I am also growing Kali Mist. I think we might have gotten our clones from a similar source http://boards.cannabis.com/images/sm...moke_weed.gif). I want to post some pics, but do you think it's safe? I have never posted pics on one of these sites before and am honestly a bit paranoid, even though I do have a legal recommendation.

Yeah, seeing as your a medi patient too it could be possible that our clones came from the same mother or related mothers, I wouldn't be suprised. As for the security on this site, If they wanted to come and get me, I would have been long gone, same goes for the people who don't even have a medical rec. on this site. The pure diesel really likes nutes, I'm watering her with grotek 3-part bloom micro grow system and she sucks all of it up each time with no problems, shes also getting a bit taller in this early flowering than my white widow, since it's a hybrid I guess it's going to get taller. i don't know if this has been mentioned but some early pics with DROOPY leaves look classic UNDERWATERED to me. when the plant doesn't have enough water they can't create the water-based firmness of their stems
