Whats the deal with joints?

Almost everyone I've talked to favors joints more than anything, and they swear up and down that a joint will get you higher than a good old bong. I've tried about 4 or 5 different kinds of rolls from different people, most of them exceptional with about a .8 to a gram in each, and compared to the .4 - .5 it takes me to get really, really high out of my roor, I don't see what everyones talking about. Everytime the bong will get me very faded, when joints can never do the trick. So whats the deal?

I agree. No matter how many joints/blunts i smoke I just cant get the same high I feel after a couple good hits from a good bong.. I dont care what anyone says.

water bongs + cannabis = nirvana/heaven/whatever you beleive in

joints and blunts will never compare to bongs an hookahs etc.

From personal experience a joint is a last resort for me. Its so nasty compared to smoking a nice bowl / bong.

every1 i know enjoys bongs much more then a joint, i dont know whos telling u joints are better, but i always thought most ppl agree that bongs are better to smoke from

also if joints dont get u high either the weeds bad(wich i doubt) or u just dont know how to inhale right...im used to teaching my friends how to inhale bc i used to have the same problem, just like hit the joint, then breathe in again b4 you breathe out and hold the smoke in as long as possible, that should guarantee that u inhale most of it

you smoke your joint like a cigarette, except you hold the smoke in longer

But I also like joints to :D

I dont have much money so most the time I like to buy 10bags, so I don't have enough weed to stay up and do bongs all night usually.

Although bongs are nice and fun, Say I put 0.5 in which is usually how much I use for a joint, sure it will get me high, but I will of finished it in about 3/4 tokes, wheras with joints I like the feel of rolling, creating a perfect joint is a great feeling :jointsmile: and also you can get higher by doing shotguns and playing games like taxi (depends wether it works for you, this is just my opinion), also a nice fat joint lasts longer and looks cool :rasta: .

I have 2 joints for tonight left out of my 10bag and to save the joint/bong problem I've made a bong with a joint holder, so I can take some bong hits and take the joint out when I want to smoke it, this solves the problem for me all the time.

Really, it's just personal preference, some of us like bongs, some like joints, some of us both... person who's providing picks the smoking medium and you all light up, no biggie.

Yea, I guess that is one big difference, joints seem more applicable to social situations, easier to pass around and you're not constantly packing the bowl after every 4 hits at most.

i probably like joints more, just because im always out somewhere when i smoke. when im home i definately smoke the bong

bongs certainly get me higher, but joints are so much more enjoyable to smoke

it depends on the situation and mood... i mix it up but if im trying to conserve its bongs all the way.. higher for less weed

Allow me to clear the confusion for you all. Bongs are better; for MOST people; not all. If you know how to roll a joint; not matter how you light your bowl the weed will burn slower allowing you to take more hits and waste less weed. I can roll a J that will burn for a good 30 minutes and not be to smoky in between hit (alot less smoke is let off then from cigarettes in between hits). When I smoke out of my bong it torches more; no matter if I'm cornering it from a distance letting it cherry, it doesn't matter. Bottom line, if you know what your doing your joints should last longer with more hits even using the same amount when you know how to roll it where it will burn less. I know LIP can roll joints that last 45 minutes and practically not smoke between hits; joints like these are guaranteed!
