from everything i've heard and read today's absinthe that is not as strong as it use to be. but i'd like to hallucinate so i was wondering if smoking weed will help? or could i put in some stems, seeds, or weed in the bottle and let it soak over night in the freezer?
you can get absinthe made to the original recipies from online vendors. I didnt know you could hallucinate off it, i doubt weed would enhance your chances its a different effect.
You can't buy it in America. You will have to order it over the internet and have it shipped to you. I have never had it and am not sure the visions are just part of Hollywoods prortrayl of it.
I ordered it and got the strongest kind available. called "strong 68" supposed to have the highest concentration of thujon around. it tastes like complete ASS. I have NEVER tasted anything this bad before. I wanted to puke. It did make me feel pretty good and euphoric feelings but then the day came where i had like 8-9 shots within the hour and felt amazing. soon after I puked for hours. it was the worst, I thought i was dying. sweat just POURING out it was pretty bad. But no I didnt hallucinate even with that much. So save your money, trust me. If your looking to hallucinate (as i was) this is not the stuff to waste your money on
yes, absinthe does taste terrible and is overrated in my opinion...if you wanna trip balls just eat an eigth of shrooms, they're great

We wanted to get some last year, but kinda forgot about it and never got around to it. It's not supposed to make you hallucinate lol...I'm guessing you saw "Eurotrip"? But, I think its suppose to be a little different feeling from regular alcohol...euphoric like someone said.
I know its not in most of the US...but I swear I read something that you can get it in New York? I dunno...I think the legality issue has gray areas like you can't import it or sell it, but you can buy and possess or something like that...not too sure though.
GreenDevil.com is where I bought some. It blows! The Everclear I used to make it with on the other hand was quite a treat for a few 16 year olds ;)

YOU WILL NOYT TRIP! If you wanna trip get some cid or shrooms. You'll get realy drunk but it tastes really bad. Buy some strong alcohol, grain alcohol, if you wanna get drunk not absinthe.
you dont hallucinate off absinthe (its just strong alcohol, nothing more and nothing less). you can legally buy it here in canada, and no, it does not glow (euro trip :)). i prefer a good tequila or a nice everclear mix over absinthe. if you wanna trip, buy a plane ticket and go LSD :). shrooms are also good, try them.
if all it really is (in terms of altering your mind) is 190 proof alcohol, save yourself all the trouble and just go buy some everclear... they've taken it down a bit (i used to still have a bottle of it back when it was 190 proof) i've been wanting forever to try absinthe (and omg while this in my mind, there was a murder case ona cruise ship awhile ago, and all the teens involved [that were thought as suspects] were using absinth as an excuse, dont' know if they ever were convicted or tried, cuz i didn't keep up with the story, but still... people like that are why drugs are illegal in the first place..) but from what i've read here, i dont' want it... me and alcohol don't mix well, i always end up over doing it, atleast with strong alcohol.. sounds like i'd end up spending the whole night puking... all of you saying it won't make you trip, are you 100% positive of this, honestly, you're on the net, no reason to sound like you know it all, if you really don't... i really do want to know if it'll do anything besides get you drunk, if so please tell me now, otherwise just tell me not to waste my money... i'm not even exactly looking to hallucinate either, i'm just looking for something more than being drunk. so does absinth offer anything besides getting drunk, or not?
Well my friend drank some and said MOSTLY he was really drunk, but he does recall seeing the fridge slide toward him, and then swoosh back. I should see no reason he'd be lying about that.
nope, thats just it - it gets you piss drunk and does a good job of it because of its high alcohol concentration. i had enough absinthe to keep me puking for a while that night, and i wasnt tripping at all. i was just plain drunk :pQuote:

nope, i don't use messangers anymore.. i don't really communinicate with anyone over the net (anymore) except through here... somehow when you get married or involved (and don't have any desire to find anyone else) the net loses much of it's 'usefullness' lmao......... i pretty much only want it or need it to come to this site, play my online games (which i go to play, and not really conversate a half hour before each game match) or check info out (completely random info.... anything from simple questions to the more complex.) back when i did use messangers, i never used msn, i really hated it.. slowed down my computer unbelievably, just under it was yahoo... then aim.

It is very important it is prepared properly or else it can be a pretty nasty drink; but very unique and pleasing if done right. Even the dribbling spoon, sugar cube and ice cold water are extremely important parts and can't be left out or done out of order, so it's more of a ritual than a 'get drunk and screw' kind of thing.
then that's what i'm looking for, as long as it offers more than getting drunk, i mean i can walk like 4-5 blocks down the street and get a bottle ( a very sizable one at that) of very strong alcohol for 20 bucks, but i'm looking for more then that...Quote:

EDIT: www.alandia.de the site i ordered from has absinthe from all over and it is the kind that has thujon/wormwood in it. but again no hallucinating just a real good overall feeling
