Grounding you "just because"

About 5 miniutes ago my mom walked in on me with my home made bong in my hand and she was soo pissed but now she is with the electrician so I'm going to get yelled at when he leaves. She came in, saw it, said I was grounded for 2 weeks. Now... this is stupid. She knows that I smoke, I openly admit it to her, yet she finds me playing with my bong and she flips a shit and grounds me... she even told me I could smoke when shes not home! C'mon, how to I defend myself against a crazy person? Is anybody else in this situation? :smokin:

nope....sorry man...dont know what to tell ya. My mom practically knows i smoke but she doesn't no i smoke in the house.

ok turns out she thought I was smoking in my room but I took the weed out before she took my bong so it worked and my punishment is no Wii until sunday, bah.

You know, considering you've had both a beer incident and a bong incident today--and considering the fact that you're still young and living in her house and under her rules--it sounds like you got off lucky. It also sounds like it might be understandable if she's in a bit of a bad mood. Sometimes it's wise to give moms a wide berth around holiday time and to watch your step. (I learned this from dealing with my own mom, to be honest. The holidays always put her on edge.)

Oh I forgot she took my lighter too, so she knew I was about to light up couldn't argue that, oh well... I have backups... she got the good one tho!

And birdgirl I understand exactly. We have an unspoken policy that I can do it I just cant get caught. What can I say, I forgot to lock my door when I was holding my bong. She walked in on me with 2 joints in my mouth unlit.

C'mon now, if your mom ain't cool with it be smart about it. Luckily my mom's cool with it and that is why I am smoking a bong in her living room right now.

Something's confusing me- (I feel like Columbo!) so tell me, is it against the house rules for you to smoke in your room? Because that's what it sounded like, and is that what you don't think is fair? I'm still trying to get the whole picture :jointsmile:

My mom isn't open minded about smoking lol, and she doesnt think the punishment is fair, my dad gave it to me (but he doesn't care I smoke) because she doesn't want to be "the bad guy" anymore.

dude you just gotta understand where shes comin from you know, she thought you were lightin up while the electrician was over, and its her fuckin house anyway. i pretty much got kicked out of my house cause my mom found a shit load of weed, its there house dude, there rules. this is the first time ive been on here for a while and this rule shit is lame you cant post sites and stuff, thats stupid, am i gonna get in trouble for cussing too
