i got busted for the first time today

i got caught today smoking at a golf course (im in golf class) and our coach is just a dick by the way so he walk over see me and two friends smoking a cig he lets one of us go so me and the girl half to stay with him and go to the office. There i get searched and he gets my pipe with small amount of weed in it. They call my parents and they come and i have o sign this shit and since my grades are all As and Bs iget off with 15 days in AEP and two days suspension.im very upset by this time so im just with my mom in her arms but that girl is now in jail for the night cause it was her weed and she had it on her.
The weird part is that they searched my backpack and i had a grinder in there and they didnt even see it it was literally right on the top but he just missed it some how. im now at home and pissed cause i gave 200 dollars to thatchick before we got caught do u guys think they will take away her money cause it really took me a while to make it?

did she go to a grown up jail or a juvi jail? if juvi, money's gone, probably given to her parents, if grown up jail, she'll probably get it back.

Sorry to hear that. The money is probably gone though, Im pretty sure if you get busted and got money on you they consider it drug money cause well it is, just like if you get caught dealing and your in your car its going to be auctioned off at one of those police auctions. Anything that they suspect that is connected to drugs usually gets taken and you never get it back. I hope everything goes over smooth.

There is no way anyone can legally confiscate money from you even the police in a case like this. I would worry though that her parents will take it off of her.

as for the girl, fuck man, you gotta let us know if shes okay, have you tried calling her? i hope shes alright, they are not kind to girls in jail....... she'll probly get the money back but that is the least of ure problems........ seriously if its only a lil nug of weed in a pipe i do not see why the hell the cops are involved, here the cops would just confiscate the weed and let u off with a warning....

Dude....just play it safe and keep the shit at home next to your medical mary card. The money is gone.. I have lived in Humboldt County CA almost my whole life....if you get busted with cash....you DIDNT get busted with cash....get it. Keep it home and dont SMOKE and drive

if i was you i wouldnt even ask for the money back.....she's in a worser case then you maybee even in jail...she doesnt need someone comeing out and blurting "hey you got my money?" life probably not looking too good right now for her so id leave it if it was me.

that is the worst part of the "drug war." it is completely unconstitutional for cops to steal money or property but they get away with it anyway. they dont even give it back if you are acquitted. innocent until proven guilty is thrown out the window when it comes to victims of the war on drugs.

See, this is the problem in America, in England you have a 60% chance the cops will get called... and even if they do you deff wouldnt get jail time, not even for 1 night.
