help me. grandparents found my plants

i live with my two grandparents. i'm growing 5 seedlings in my closet right now. my grandpa asked me, "what is that thing in your closet?" i said it grows plants. he asked what kind and i said cannabis. he was like, "camathyst? what is that?" i said i'd show him a book about it when i woke up. so what do i do? how do i explain growing illegal marijuana plants to them? all i have are the marijuana medical growers bible and the cannabible 2...also the magic weed dvd. my grandparents are ex-mormon christians, so i don't know if they'll understand.

um...lol wow. that was a great idea, growing in your grandparents house. your screwed quite bluntly (haha bluntly), and btw, lying and taking advantage of the elderly would be such a fucked up move on your part so i wouldnt do it.

like I would say to anyone on this... STOP growing in someone elses house without them having a clue...

Well, I can't really say I have a lot of sympathy for you. Yeah, it sucks you got caught.. but what do you expect when you're growing under your grandparents roof? Gotta respect their place.. and when you move out and get your own place, grow all the weed you want.

If they're religious try and go with the whole "god put it there" argument.

You had better fess up instead of trying to trick them though. Just apologize and educate them, it really wasn't a good idea growin' in their house.

Kid, it's a medicinal herb. Have you even thought about that? Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, arthritis,osteoporosis, and a whole mess of other "old age" ailments can be treated (if not prevented) by cannabis. Just run a search on cannabis abstract and any ailment they might have. Grab a few abstracts and make them some brownies! And while you're at it, search "Kanneh bosem"- Granny :stoned:

I told an old pastor the other day about Kaneh Bosm, and he said that in 9 years of seminar he had never heard of that until I told him. He was quite amazed after he researched it for himself.

But yeah, like other people have said here, it wasn't a good idea to grow plants in someone else's house without their permission. For now, just try to educate your grandparents a bit on it. If your grandparents don't know the meaning of the word "cannabis", as they don't seem to from what you said, don't tell them it's synonymous with marijuana.

Hey man, that sucks to hear.. it really depends on how well you know your grandparents and their views on marijuana. How old are they? Did you use the word marijuana to him? Has your grandmother see them? In this situation if their pretty cool and lenient about alot of things id tell them the truth (that is if they already know you smoke it, which im guessing they don't.) Or if you think that they would snap on you, save yourself some trouble and scrap it, i know it might be a hard thing to do but you could just say to them "yea i was trying this stupid experiment that didnt work." Did you have alot of grow equipment in there when he saw it? I seriously think the stupidest/lowest thing to do would be to keep growing them and lying about what they are lol, now that he/they saw them they're gonna want to know whatsup. So yea if your pretty sure that they wont banish you, id just break the news to them, see what happens.. but beware, once they know they might start considering you just another "lazy stoner" and trust me its no fun when your familys always thinking your high. my 2 cents.

oh well...whats extremely disrespectful to one person might be viewed as completely innocent to another...thats what makes this world so great (or shitty, depending on your viewpoint). anyways, i decided to tell them i'm growing it for my friends mom who has cancer (its true). this cancer patient is in the process of getting a mj prescription...so i should be good. plus my grandma's side of the fam has a history of alzheimers.

OK, darlin' boy, I just want to clue you in on something. A dear friend of mine has been busted because he didn't keep up the paperwork (his client's recommendations lapsed and they didn't give him a copy of their renewals). He's got 3 years probation, which was lucky. The judge believed him or thought it believable. He cannot grow for anyone else or consort with folks with records (which means 80% of his friends) until he gets off probation. Make sure you have a copy of her current recommendation and that you are strictly under your state's/ county's limits! Have a dated paper (maybe notorized?) stating this is a medical grow for your client. It should be signed by both you and your client. It and a copy of the rec should be posted with your grow. CYA at all times! Don't brag except on line and don't let your friends know who you are on line! Rip offs of medical grows are becoming all too common! Be careful! - Granny :stoned:

See, now that's completely different. If you have a license to grow for a MMJ patient, then it's a whole different story. Are YOU going to be her grower? If so, get the license, and do it legally.

However, what you're doing is still illegal under state law until you actually have the license to grow. For Christ's sake, at least wait until she has the card. Until then, you're putting your grandparents at risk.

a cop on a mission has no compassion,,,they have every legal right to arrest the owner of the home,the owner "can" plead ignorance to the judge...

as always . possesion =9/10 of the law .
and yes it falls back on the homeowner whose name is on the deed to the house or given piece of property , except in strange circumstances . like a rental prop. where there is a written / signed lease . to jeprodize your grandparents freedom is just plain cold blooded kid . you got alot of growin up to do .

no, i say the rest of the world has a lot of growing up to do. someone tell me how the fuck any law enforcement official is going to get anywhere near my 5 seedlings growing under 3 tiny cfl lights in my closet. do i put off a lot of heat? NO. smell? NO. do i deal? NO. do i grow for myself? YES. does it help my skin condition? YES. i doubt theres a psychic division in my local police department...so, again, how the fuck is anything bad supposed to happen to me or my grandparents? you can argue all you want, but we all know that what i'm doing is completely innocent. sure i'd like to sit and have a chat about this with my grandparents, but being that this plant is deemed "illegal" by other humans with the need to control other humans, i'll just keep quiet, because i know their need to control has already influenced my grandparents' thoughts about this "illegal" plant. peace to my man God, you know i'm in the clear.

you'll only have to tell 1 person for all hell to break loose .
5 mos. ago a kid like yourself w only 2 plants in veg. w/ cfl's was caught a cpl. blocks from me , he and his mom as well , due to her name being on the lease are being charged w/ manufacture of a c/s . you got any idea how much a lawyer will run your grandparents even if they do get off ?
you need to find a place outside where it's easier to play dumb and get away w/ it . just a birdfeeder near them will pass as a valid alibi due to sterilized hemp seed in birdfood .
until you have worked your whole life for a piece of your own , to be the king of your own castle . i seriously don't think your capable of understanding the position your putting them in .

Definately tell them the truth.

Why not grow outdoors during the summer? Public land is easy enough to find, as long as you're careful. At least you will be the one soley responsible if you get caught, and not your unknowing grandparents.
