Grows that break the rules??

OK, yesterday I went to a grow that defied almost everything that I believe about having a good grow and believe it or not the guy was still producing against the odds.
Well first of all his veg and flower room are in his bedroom and the flower area consist of a box spring standing up against the end of his bed to act as a wall for the flower area but no other type of cover for the flowering area, and this is the kicker, even when the flowering lights are out he keeps the bedroom lights on and the light from his veg area is visible, you got it, there is no complete darkness he just has the bedroom light on with the door open and not to mention with family and friends going in and out. He is knowledgeable , at least he should be after working at the hydro store for a few years.
He has 11 strains of mothers, ebb and flow tables and a 1K for flower. The ones in flower had nuggs on them, no Hermes or serious stretching and that is with the light over a ft away, but though he had nugs, he didn't have beer can koalas, but after trying some smoke, it was bomb believe it or not.
What else, he had 1 FT tall plants or taller in those little 4x4 square planters that you would usually keep a plant in for about a week or two. The roots were busting threw the bottom and he didn't seem to think much of it. I would of had the plant in at least a 1 1/2 gallon by now, oh wait it is now since I have it. The poor thing, it is the size of a plant that has been in veg for about 4 to 6 weeks and he had it in that pot that was only a little bigger than a rubix cube.
I like him, but I guess this is what has worked for him and it fits his life style at this point. Also, he did give me a few new strains to mess with along with a rooted WW clone that was from the best looking mother in the stable.
Well, has anyone else seen grows like this??? Where flowering plants are basicly living in a area that is lit like the common living area, where people are just coming and out and where little bushes are succesfully kept alive in Rubix Cube size cubs and the grower is still producing? Also, he feeds all the different strains in his tray the same strength nutes and still can pull 3 zips off of a plant?
One big thing, even though I like the guy allot, the seen spooked me so much that I find it hard to consider going back over there and I don't want the guy to think I was just trying to hustle him for some strains, but I don't know, it is just so out there that I can't afford to risk myself for that kind of mind set. Any thoughts??

crazy man . it's that lack of thought and strange mindset that'll get him caught . but to each their own i guess . i'm really suprised he can get 3 onions ea. outa a 4in. cube . just think what someone w/ that much natural talent could do given perfect conditions n enviroment ? they'd be as bad as humboldt on here . lol .

Thanks XC and you are right about protecting mines. With the 4 in cubes, he didn't flower them in there, just kept some veging like that, but never the less it was crazy.
How are your girls coming along? I put a strain I got back from him last night in a bubbler so we will see how it responds, just had to wash off the perlite and coaco off of the roots. It is a Skunk number 1 and a big bud cross.
I am going to try to start a thread with pics sometimes soon so be on the look out.

thingz couldn't be better . well maybe a lil w/ some co2 lol .
3rd. week of flower now , p/h is stable n at 5.8-6.1 always . ppm. = 1100 now w/o any issues . :)

i started flowering them at a foot tall and topped them . they streched like hell after we cut their heads off , they're about 3ft tall now + the foot or so of waterfarm , but i still got about 1 1/2 foot of headroom , other 6in. ate up by cooltubes . our place was built in 1922 so our basement is bullshit n only 6ft 2" to bottom of the floor joists , it sux . i want a 8ft. ceiling damn it !!!! :mad: no more grow nutes now . might even try lucas form. all the way thru next time , see if theres less streching . start givin em some cool bloom next res. chg. too .

snow on the ground up here in the N now , had to put cells n res. up on 1in. thk. pink. foam siding insul. n get a good submersible aquaruim heater for the res. / amb. air temps are 78 deg on , 64 deg. off . 45-50 % humidity n port. dehumidifiers wrkn it's ass off = 45qts. every 2 days out of a 11 x 12 ft room. turned on the 2nd. 1000w. last week they got sooo bushy 1 wasn't covering em . need sunglasses now ya go blind w/ 2000w. :cool:

1 = cottoncandy/nycd x sage , n 3 = d/p blueberry . the mutt cross is much bushier n shorter , but the blueberry's smell is just intense . all are easy 8-10 headed monsters w/ thick ass stems , main girth coming outa the hydroton looks like the stem on a huge head of brocoli it's crazy . i'm praying we dont havta tie em to the ceiling again due to weight . most all flowers are the size of your thumb now n can see res glands w/ naked eye already .

first hydro grow i've ever had w/ very lil stress n things are moving fast . i'm geeked man . 8-10 headed plant takes a lil longer to finish , but it's cool , it'd take 50-60 girlz -easy to get this kinda yield w/sog n is too big a risk. plant count laws now instead of combined weight laws like back in the day , so law is kinda in my favor to grow just 4 super mutant monster bushes anyways .

i read a thread on here a while back about ppl. keeping their p/h dwn real low 5.'s during last cpl. weeks of flowering . to lok out certain nutes , or increase the uptake of others or something ? what's your take on this ?

Not a problem with conversating with me on here, after all I started the thread and aint complaining. I got a 2K room as well, but it is only 5x9 for the fact that it is a stealth room, but the actuall room is twice that size. I started up a CO2 tank, but since I don't have a real controler I sat it aside for a minute. With your 4 girls, what kind of veg time did you give them and what do you think you might pull? Reason I ask is because I wouldn't mind just growing out a hand full of little trees down the road. Right now I have about 18 in the flower room and will have about 18 more in withen the next few weeks or so, so it can get pretty crowded in there.
With the PH thingy, yah it can play a role in nute uptake towards the end of flower. LW has something on it in his thread in the in door section in a thread talking about prooven nutes. I will bump it up.

i've never done this in actual waterfarms before . but in individual 5 gal. bukts. independent from 1 another w/ heat stress n we burnt up a cpl. lil via aqua pumps lol. those became bubblers instead of drip , only a 6in. net pot bukt lid. i got anywhere from 6 onions on the ugliest girl , n 17 onions on the prettiest . those 4 girlz have lasted me for 8 mos. easy n i puff or vape an 1/8 to a 1/4 a day . i never got a combined total on all 4 . i forgot too . i needed 20 - 1 gal. jars to cure it all ?
i saw krusty -n- soquick on O.G getting a lb. a girl easy and it just stood me on end man . i had to do it too . we ended up havin to put d rings above each bucket w/ swivels from rafters so we could still rotate plants w/ about 20-30 strings supporting crazy donkey dik looking colas . 9 x 7 foot room wasn't big enuf for 4 girlz. i couldn't even get in the room after 2nd week of flowern , mrs. crispi had to bust ass to keep up w/ it n wasn't too thrilled . this is why were in waterfarms now w/ res. outside of room .lol . never thought theyd get that big . 36in. round and 4 1/2 ft. tall .

flashback lol . never answered the veg. q's . i veg for 4 weeks n top em then let em recover for a week n shoot out the newer undergrowth that becomes the extra heads . then switch to 12/12 after 5th week of veg .

Thanks for all that input Xcrispy. With those jars you can usually put about an ounce in them, give or take.
It sounded like a great run. I have checked out Krusty bucket style where their getting about 3 LB from one plant, but it is just alot of work IMO.
I need to go back to the water farm/DWC thread and find those mods that you made to your system to stabalise the PH, because I can't remember right now.
I have a girl veging in a 3 gallon DWC right now, but after finding out that she is only growing branches down one side of the stock I decided I will just get some clones off of her and lay her down. She is one that I got from that fella, she must of turned a little mutant under his growing conditions because the mother from the strain I gave him in the first place was fine and healthy.

I've got a grow buddy that I feel the same way about. He's a lot more stealth but sometimes I'm like, shit, he is going to get caught from other stupid things he does, like just quitting his 'real' job for reason other than he doesn't need the cash any more, spending ridiculous amounts of money on expensive watches, grownup toys like boats and shit, a flashy car, and a fucking SKI CONDO for God's sake, and breaking the 1000 watt per bedroom rule BIG TIME.
And he is the guy who gave me my chocolate chunk mother, so I feel like I owe him big, but I hate going to his house- kind of creeps me out because I'm thinking, there is NO WAY that he isn't being watched, either by the cops or by theives.

I just feel like solving the problem by giving him some new varieties to mess around with that have shorter flower times than CC and then we will be all good. And I can sort of reel him out and forget he's on the hook, ya know?

I'd rather just be my little ol' low-key self and not be connected in any way to the big boys.

i cant even begin to compare w/ ppl. the likes of Krusty , Bushy Older Grower , or Soquick man . Krusty might very well have gotten 3 lbs. a girl . but like you said huge pita . i have bad memory but i think you'll find 50-60 or more strings supporting the mass , looks like a fukn teepee over the plants . Krusty was / is a god . :angelsmiley:

6 mos. before the site disappeared i was following a guy in atlanta ga. Soquick i believe , in a garage w/ 10 plants and like 6000w. like 10 / 600w hung w/o reflectors n lights were verticle between plants so you didn't need to rotate em n saw crazy results n super fast .

i got the 1 gal. mason jars for dirt cheap from a wholesaler in alsip ill. like 3.00 ea. in cases . i fit about 2oz. in each w/ enuf room for air still , the buds were pretty dense , never any mold .

nope bear no thread , i figured it wouldn't be any fun w/o pics. n i'm dead set against em due to what went on w/ that other site . lol . i wouldn't fair too well in prison being basically confined to a wheelchair . :error:

Hey Stinky, I am feeling the same about giving my friend some stuff and then kind of vanish from his path, luckly we arn't really tight. I tell you what after all that hash you have been threw with the X BF I really feel for you, I just hate walking on egg shells wondering if I am going to get that knock on the door especially because a relationship gone south.
Xcrispy, Yeh some of those OG threads were just mind boggling. I remember a thread of some BC grown plants that was just a trip, the room was only 13x12 and they had 9x950W bulbs hanging verticaly over 12 recerculating buckets and they pulled 20LB off one crop. it was a stealth room with the reses built into the floor and you had to crawl threw some crawl space on your back to even get into the room and then you had to make your way threw the jungle to even find a place to stand.
Well as for being in a wheelchare in the pen, I wouldn't want to be in that sittuation either, because they do put them in there like anyone else, I know, they will lock you up blind, cripel or crazy.

I think from the angle of the shot BlueBear's avatar looks more like a young Dogue de Bordeaux that hasn't got all its wrinkles yet, lol!!!
My neighbor has an AWESOME English MAstiff, 200 lbs at one year old, fawn with black mask, beautiful dog. But SO big and clumsy! And he's also got a little AB girl with amber eyes and a hysterical personality. She's such a sweet housepet, loves everyone, couldn't guard the house to save her life!

You probably know by now I've got a molosser too- white Boxer x Olde English Bulldogge. smart but laid back and not destructive like boxers get when they're bored.

That dog was bread from this kennel, www.petersonpitbull.com/ I had his mother and a friend had the father and they both came strait from the kennel from there main dog Sherman Tank who is no longer around.
Xcrispi they do have some Mastiff traits so I am not surprised that they look similar. He is about 90LB and is kind to all other animals, but is a good guard dog, but not vicious for no reason.
I have bread rott's, pits and bull dogs, and I have had a nice Mastiff.
I like the mastiffs, but they get so dang big that they need allot of room to really thrive IMO. I have had 10 dogs for strictly breeding and with litters around the clock it was really allot of work.
As far as pics, my disability is related to my vision so pics don't do me too much good, but my wify can always describe them to me and she loves dogs, we have probably over a hundred pics on file of the dogs we have bread.

Their English bulldogs look great too... pretty athletic looking for the breed, and they have Alapahas too, another breed I'm definitely interested in!
