Almost busted by landlord...

hi all,

So last night I was browsing around the mall, and I happened to find a decent pool table for a good price, so I decided to get it. I get it delivered and as the loader guys are lifting my table in pieces, my landlord happens to walk by and see what's happening. We get to talking, the guys leave, I say thanks, give them a $5 each and they are on their way. My landlord would not leave. He just kept talking about shit I could care less about.

As he was leaving, he was in my living room, and I have a built in grow cabinet, that is 100% concealed, no light leaks, no obvious signs, and what had happened last week is my main fans motor has seized and crapped out. For the time being I used this other fan I had, but it was pretty loud. It's not so loud where you can really hear it, but in the right spot, you can hear a fan running. Anyways, he stops, listens, and says, "you hear that?" I was like, oh shit, so I said "no, nothing" he says it sounds like a fan running, so he asked if I had one going, and I said no, of course not, it's winter. :p He wouldn't let up, he got closer and closer to it and said he could hear something.

I removed myself from the room and immediatly saying I had something in the oven, went to my timer and shut the fan off. I come back out and he says "It just shut off, what was that?" I told him it was probably the heater and he's like, "No! The heat wasn't on"

Anyways, he finally fucking left and told me they are having inspectors come by this weekend or Monday.

He is on to me big time, so last night I said fuck it, and harvested my plants. They're only a week pre-mature and I checked the trichs and they are 100% cloudy, so yeild and not much potency will be lost. I didn't flush though, not once. :o so I'm hoping the smoke won't be that bad. I use very little fert as it is, maybe 1/4 recommended strength with organic ferts, and I used a "steroid" fert as I call it, 10-52-10, but that was chem. and I used it only twice.

I spent 4hrs snipping and cutting my babies up. I have pictures, but my comp. won't load them right now, so I'll post them when I can.

Sorry for the long post, but I am def. not growing for awhile now. Not until I get a new, ultra quite fan that is. :p

It was a damn good idea. :p If I got kicked out of here I would be 100% hooped. I'd have nowhere to go, so I figured a week or so early and no flushed buds wouldn't be a total loss. I'm expecting the smoke won't be that bad as I don't use much fert as it is, but I'll have to wait a week or so for it all to dry to find out.

I plan on curing it until X-mas morning. Nothing better than lighting up on x-mas day! :thumbsup:

Sorry about your bad luck there man. My landlords are stoners and my neighbors smoke too, so I am cool.

2 plants from clone of Jack Herer x Afghan #1. I topped all of them so they all split off into 2 tops. I kept them as small as I could in height as it is 80% sativa, and I'm hoping to get 40g's from them, about 20g's per plant. I didn't bother weighing it as it was all wet still, so I'll do so when it is dry.

Well it may turnout right, should be dried enough to roll and spark for Christmas...No?

I'm not worried that I cut early as the trichs were pretty much all cloudy, it's that I didn't flush. I'm hoping it won't be that bad.

And oh yeah, it will be ready by x-mas. It should all be dried in no more than 7-8 days, then onto curing for a week or so, then x-mas morning, a freshly cured nug will be packed into my bowl, and burned. :D

That sucks, at least you didn't get caught and your plants weren't too far from your planned harvest time.

You should set up something that could of been making that noise when the inspectors come by. Just leave something on if you can find something logical that could explain it.

And I suspect he already knew. Probably came in while you were gone. :(

Good idea to harvest them before he finds them. I'm sure the smoke will be great. I'm looking forward to the pics :)

I did almost have a heart attack. I was lost for words. :p

I doubt he came by and found anything. I was home all night, except this morning when I was working for a few hours, but that was at 6:30 this morning. The grow cabinet isn't obvious either. No one knows it's there except me. I just used the lower cabinet where a shelf is, enclosed it 100%, lined the walls with mylar, and put a seal around it. On the front "door" is a RATM logo, and you can't tell it was ever an open area. The door clips right on with magnets and no light can be seen.

The only way he found out was with the fan, but if asks anything, I'll open it up and bongo...nothing there. I took down the lights already and cleaned it up, so if he does look, he'll find nothing.

I don't know yet. It's still drying and I won't know for at least 5-7 days, until it dries.

Yea sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

Well I smoked a small joint this morning of just the "sugar" leaf trimmings. I cut in certain steps, first the fan leaves, then smaller fan leaves. Then I snip off all the non-suagr coated leaves, and then I manicure the buds really close for a smooth smoke. The manicured leaves in put in a seperate pile, and they usually dry overnight. That's when I first test it out. :)

Anyways, so yeah I puffed it and it is a strong sativa high. All head high, and it wasn't as harsh as I thought it'd be. Tastes fine, and doesn't sting when you smoke it, so I'm really looking forward to smoking the buds. I fiugre if the sugar trimmings got me pretty good, the buds will be even better. :thumbsup:

Be sure to put something in the cabinet- a clean, empty cabinet looks weird.

Close call there Nochowder. One thing is puzzling me though. WHere are you drying tyhe buds? If there was a chance they could find your grow couldnt they find your drying buds?

put in some parsley and basil and let them find the box...
