Football, and I mean real football not that lame european version

Who's a fan, who's yer team, did you ever play, if so what position and what level? And whatever the fuck else you wanna add.

I was born and bred a Buckeye like my father and his father before him. Pops has missed three home games since 1962 and I haven't missed too many since about 1993. We were at the Michigan game a few weeks ago and it was simply a religious experience. I also love the Browns, and am pulling for them tonight against those fucking steelers.

I played football from 2nd grade through High School(no drug testing in our district). I played nose guard, linebacker, left guard, and fullback through my various years of playing the sport. I love everything about it and everything that it stands for(save my High School coach he was a dick).

p.s. fuck the gators, they're gonna get swamped in the NC.

PENN STATE and The STEELERS

I love LSU football, and the Saints now that they are having a winning season. I also love the colts because of Manning. I follow most of the SEC, it is the best conference but always pull for LSU over any other SEC team.

I used to play football in high school as a linebacker but never actually got to get on the field in highschool. The guy above me on the depthchart's mom was fucking the coach (no lie.)

I was actually good at one point, but I didn't feel like doing all the work for 2nd string and the other two backers were better than me so no chance in beating them out. I didn't feel like working to hard when chances were I would be on second string, so I quit before my junior season.

I loved little league though and still play NCAA Football on the PS2.

I like my home team. They are in some kind of rut though. Poor panthers I thought they had a chance again this year. Something about the 4th quarter and 3rd down conversions. I dont know what is going on with them there in some kind of funk. And Jake may not even Qb on sunday something about a sprained thumb, whatever Ill still watch and scream at my tv screen.

Football (as in soccer to you lot) is a worldwide sport. It is a game where the majority of the time, the football is controlled with the foot.

Your version of football is very ironic, as you hardly ever control the ball with your foot. It also isn't played outside of North America. Even though I know little about the game, it more resembles rugby to me.

I have tried watching soccer on several ocassions. Every game as been either Chelsey, Bolton, or Manchester Uninted. Manchester is always on I'm guessing because they are the best.

I just can't get into it though until the end where they are frantically trying to score a goal. I have figured out a lot of the rules though.

I could never get into soccer either. Maybe its because I was never good at that game, or that I hate running. I love to play volleyball and watch American football and that is it for me. It backwards in my house I watch the football and my husband hates it. Same thing growing up though mom loved it dad hated it.

American football is flat out more exciting... a team can be on there own 1 yard line and go 99 yds on one play to score a touchdown, or the same team can be on the 1 yd line going in, and have an interception returned 99 yds for an apposing touchdown. soccer is just to predictable.

Pats all the way for me. We've been a little inconsistant, but beat the teams we needed to beat, and we could go on a good run if we get healthy.

As for NCAA, I only really watch the bigger games, but BC would be my team to root for.

Everything about football is more exciting than soccer. I'd rather take a stiletto to the nuts than watch another world cup, the only exciting thing about it was the headbut and that Italy won because I'm a pisano.

Honestly, have you ever watched a football game with someone who could spell it out for you in crayon so you can understand what is going on? It is far more interesting, strategic, and exciting than soccer. And that's the fact Jack!

p.s. Favorite football moment/activity? Mine is playing on the kickoff coverage team. It's almost as good as playing long pole middie in lacrosse. Running full speed for 50 yards down the field gaining up all that momentum just to blind side an unsuspecting ball returner or blocker and lay them out IHOP style.

It is called football because the game is started with the kickoff and the punt is the most important play. Knowledge bitches.

whoa man.... i know you didn't really just compare rugby to the nfl. of course they wear helmets and pads these are some of the best athletes in the world, they would get killed playing over here with no pads. i would love to see a rugby player get rocked by ray lewis or sean taylor and get up.

comparing football to rugby is like comparing Don P to Franzia. I still haven't heard a compelling argument from these euro's that soccer is a better sport than football.

BTW the kidding is all in good fun, one of my best friends plays soccer for a certain state university and I bag on him even harder. Don't get yer panties in a bunch just because the NFL has superior athletes and a more exciting game. Shit, college players are better athletes. Calvin Johnson is 6'5" 235lbs has a 47 inch vertical and runs a 4.3 40. Beckham ain't got shit on that.

By the way, another difference between the NFL and soccer is you could never fall asleep during an NFL game...there is no way...even if its the worst teams in the league.

I like the Cowboys. Never played though as up here in the Great White North hockey is the game.

As for soccer, I too find it boring for the most part. However, you can't argue about the excitement of the World Cup or European Cup. When it's only the very best players in the world then the game is fast, skillful and exciting to watch. At the club level though, there are just too many teams and the talent is diluted.

Well I personally like NCAA football a lot better than NFL football. There is so much more atmosphere, big play, potential and loyalty to the teams that you can't find too much in the NFL. Another problem with the NFL is the enormous egos some of the player have. Nonetheless, since football is the best sport out there, I religiously watch both the NFL and NCAA. In NFL football, I am a huge Redskins fan, although they still have some major problems and watching them sometimes depresses me. In NCAA football, I am a huge Penn State fan and an even bigger Boston College fan. I have family at both schools. I love Big Ten football, people give the SEC so much hype but when it comes down to it, the Big Ten is not far behind.

NFL football I can watch.
CFL football I can watch.
College Football I can not watch for some reason.
