some of you dont like roor. some cant fathom the idea of why you would spend hundreds of dollars on such a nice piece. i disagree, i would spend more money if i had it. but this my friends, i have to say they just went too far on this one. its so rediculous I WANT IT! oh yeah by the way EDIT when i spend just shy of 200 bucks on a fucking bottle make sure you ship that through the mail, thatd be perfect!!! i mean come on folks...even i of all people think this is just stupid. but i want one. haha i want one because its so dumb...that i like it! and ill probably never get one because i know id break it a week later if it wasnt in pieces from coming in the mail.
just thought id share my pain with you all.

-

If it's all for show it's not only a waste of time, it's a huge waste of money.

I'd take it if someone gave it to me, but if you think I'd spend money on any kind of boring Roor products, you can forget that. :p Fuck Roor. All you're paying for is a name.
-

Quality and quantity only go so far in the "tobacco water pipe" industry... If you spend a lot for a plain non-decorated glass tube with some company's name schmucked all over it, that's ridiculous.
Quality of the hit can only go so far, then it plateaus.
The only way I'd pay more for a bong would be if it had some KILLER colors and designs on it. Otherwise, screw Roor.
I hit a Roor bong once, cost my friend 400 bucks, and his decorated 150 buck bong hit smoother. And his decorated bong had Kool Aide in it (delicious, by the way- not the bong water, but the hit).

my christmas this year is an xbox 360 and either Dead Rising or Gears of War. other than that a few stocking stuffers, but i think its worth it i dont really want anything else this year and my parents made the offer when i mentioned it. i miss the days when there were piles of GI Joes and legos and all that stuff but im 19 now and dont really care if theres just 1 present under the tree. cause that 1 present is a damn xbox 360!

Obviously you all missed the point, Its decoration!! lol No matter what people spend on stupid shit now and days, this is something you can put on a shelf and be like "oh man i wanna hit my roor!" Its for people who like the idea of a roor, and u can bad mouth roor, because your not going to find a more quality and durable piece, granted decoration is practically well there is non, no u dont buy the name, you buy a veryy nice bong, im sorry u can afford one, dont smack it down, I would suggest a different piece just becuase there is no uniqueness with roors. The point of this is i would believe is for people who love there roors and would spend money on something that is just made by roor, its very nice and decorative, most of you people dont think about that but if owned my own home i would buy something liek that for it.

But that's the thing, I've hit Roor bongs, and they AREN'T great. Just like any other glass bong I've smoked out of, with a few minor differences.
I have smoked out of countless bongs in my lifetime.
I've found many bongs that hit smoother than Roor bongs, and those who are on the same level as Roor, but cost only 80 bucks.
Point is, you can easily go waste your money on one, and claim it hits better. But if you criticize those who HAVE hit Roors and think they're WAY overrated, then that's just being idiotic.

i'd go with a phx bong over a rorr anytime, 6 chambers all bubbling at the same time while smoke runs through it all souds like it would look beautiful and produce a much smoother hit

Roors cost so much because your paying for the name, nothing to do with how good the bong is. It's the same with designer clothing... your not paying for the clothes, your paying to wear the brand.
If anyone bothered spending that much on something completely useless... i just dont know what i'd do...

Good point, Lip. For those Americans out there, take Hollister and Abercrombie and Fitch for example. Expensive as hell for a teenager's budget, yet the shirts are so damn thin, you have to buy 3 or 4 to equal the thickness of a regular shirt. Just so someone will notice it and say, "Oh, is that AF/Hollister?"
That 6 chamber bong sounds heavenly...

Exactly.
I could go buy one right now, but I have hit a Roor before and I choose not to spend that much money on something that doesn't appeal to me. People get bum hurt when others express their opinions on it, and the first thing they say is, "oh, sorry you can't afford one" It's not that I can'[t afford one, I guess I'm just not dumb enough to buy a name brand, for a $300 that ciost the copmany maybe $25 in glass to produce. Smart over stupid, that's all it is. ;)

OMG you people know nothing about economics. A "bong" that you would find at a local shop hand blown, will sell cheap, becuase they understand they need to be bought, a roor, as i understand is german made, and it is blown with precision and is blown many times to make it durable, i dont think i have seen any imperfections in the class, and they have glass on glass slides, call up roor and ask them how they make them. Just cause it hits the same, which there is no reason it shouldnt, doesnt mean its not worth the money. A bong is a bong a 6 foot plastic pos ripper will get you more stoned then anything and costs no more then 70 bucks. And one waY or another abercrombie and holister sell millions of dollers worth of clothing.
25$ doesnt pay for the time and skill it takes to make one of these and ship it across seas. And i could aLSO buy one, but im not going to, i have hit a roor countless times, and i do belive they give you very nice hits, maybe you have no idea how to milk a bong. Smart over stupid? whats the big fuckin deal, dont bont buy one if you dont want one, but dont say they suck. I have a friend who bought a $700 natural bubbler, never hit something so crazy in my life but it is a true work of art. And i wouldnt buy that either. But there worth the money. Glass on glass slides cost money to make and you have to Pay for machines to make these Pieces.
Wtf is wrong with making a quality piece? just cause they hit the same... A audi and vw is the same goddamn scinerio, same company, one is nicer then the other at cost factor. Yet they hold the exact same qualities in mechanics. The only thing you really need a car for.

this product makes me sick...if it is actually made by roor...I might have to start hating roor...you may have exposed them as the tools that they have always been...
-

who the fuck cares... seriously smoke out of a roor or a bong blown at your local headshop or in my eyes a bong is a bong. until someone creates a bong that hits as good or better and still conserves a shit load of weed it doesnt really matter

So essentially we're spending MORE for a plain bong with extra durability? You say just because it hits the same doesn't make it not worth the money.... Then what reason would we buy it for, other than being German-made and double glass sided. Last time I checked, pot's not all about materialistic stuff, it's about getting a piece that gets the job done. Roor bongs are too plain for many people's tastes, and yes, I think they are a waste of money. Why is that considered bitching if many on the boards agree?
It's like buying a Rolex- why would you want to spend hundreds of dollars on a fuckin' watch, when most watches perform at the same standard? It IS basic economics, you ARE buying a name. Roor bongs, as I have hit 4 in my life, simply are just a waste of money.

Do you actually expect to be taken seriously when earlier you said:

Phx is the shitt roor you have to buy a diffuser and you have to buy pircs( its rare to find pircs for roors) Phx is blown the same way with a lot better hit for cheeper
I herd Phx is going outta bisness

Cheaper? No way. http://www.phxglass.ca/availability.htm
Also, I have yet to see a non-beaker pH(x) design. This alone is enough to make Roor the better option of the two.

i havent heard of phx going out of business. thats not cool. i love my phx and eventually want a roor but they are out of my limit fincaially. i wish i could get a roor bowl though, but EDIT is all i got and those arent what im looking for.

there are 3 different phx bottoms i have seen. the straight (roor like), the beaker (sciencey looking?) and a bubble (what the majority of bongs are i think)
