There is a dealer living about a block away from me and it seems as though he ripped my friend off by about a good $20 or so. Turns out his scale was messed up in some way (or so he thought). Anyways, hes not going to do anything about it, but I want to. I've known the guys over there for awhile now and they need to stop that shit. What should I do in my position as his friend?
Tell him he is lucky it was only a $20 lesson.

I went halves (£20 each) on a qrter on Monday night through a friend.
We got like half a gram less than we should.

It was also wet as fuck.

I'd try not to avoid buying off that guy unless it's desperate meassures.

simular happend to my mate. he wanted to buy a quarter... the delibratly made it under... my mate says to them "oi its under".... i left.... he came back 4mins later with black eye and got ripped :S

sometimes scales arent workin like they should, thats the game, live and learn
Mostly people buy cheap scales that are inaccurate and get even more inaccurate as time goes on. Always check your scale, put a penny or a nickel on to make sure it weighs out.. should be ~2.5 grams for the penny and around 5 for the nickel.
MAKE SURE YOUR SCALE IS ON GRAM SETTINGS
one time i got an 8th of 20 a gram kush, for like 30$ cause the dealers scale was fucked up and he was high as fuck

I always calibrate my scale with a 100g weight....sometimes the shit I got was over a bit more often than not it would be under if there was a problem. Grow your own...no problems and get paid to smoke if you got extra.
It's $20, move on in life. :p
If you go back to him or your buddy does, whatever, just bring your own scale to weight it ytourself. If it's not weighed, let him know. If he does nothing about it, simply stop buying from them.

Man that sucks. Sorry your friend got shorted. one time a dealer here was deliberatly shorting people and this one kid called the cops on him anonomously and got him busted. That was kinda low I think, I mean he shoulda just settled things with the dealer on his own and not involved the cops. Anyways if your friend thought the dealer was doing it on purpose then the best way is to not buy from him anymore and pass the word to everyone about him.
Well at least he learned his lesson, and he only lost $20.
