A very scary experience...
hi all,
I went through something this morning that I will never forget.
I had to work early this morning because of fresh snow downfall at 6am, so started heading to work at about 5:30 this morning. As I'm walking, I hear some yelling, some drunk yelling. I look down the road, and there is a cab. Cabbie is sitting in the car, passenger in the back, and I could hear this guy yelling, I couldn't understand what he was saying, but all of a sudden, I see this guy wrap his hands around the neck of the cab driver. I can now see the car moving from side to side, they were fighting inside the cab. I run down the road as fast as I can and when I get there, the passenger is seiriously trying to kill this poor guy by choking him and giving him shots in the back of the head.
I try to open the door but it is locked, and the cabbie doesn't see me there, so I take this huge ice chunk to smash the window of the passenger side to stop him. ice breaks. No one is around and I start freaking out a bit, so with my adrenaline, and my huge winter boots on, I kick the window and few times, and after the 3rd blow it shatters. I immediatly hit the passenger in the side of the face, and while he was distracted, I unlocked his door, opened it, and while I was doing this, the cabbie had time to get out of his cab. I pulled this asshole out of the cab, and he's yelling "I'm going to kill you **** (racial term)" The cabbie takes his huge flashlight he has, and cracks him over and over in the head, it sounded like a coconut, and this guy would NOT stay down and kept coming at both of us. Afraid he might pull out a knife we did the next best thing, we both defended ourselves the best we could without severly fucking this guy up. The cabbie kicked this guys ass man!! :p He took his big ass flashlight to finally kncok him out cold. The guy was a bloody mess, but so was the cabbie.
I get on his radio and call for help. Cops come within minutes, check the situation, asked me a ton of questions, and let me go home. I am know getting honored as Bravery to helping a fellow human being from the police at the city hall next week. I get a medal, a plaque, and recognition for my help.
I can't just stand by and let something like this happen. I know, things could have turned out worse, but imagine how I would have felt if I read that a cabbie got chocked to death, and I could have stopped it.

YOU'RE MY HERO! I WUV YOU!
lol.. i don't really know what to say? i mean i could say congratulations, but i dunno if stumbling across an attempted murder is really something to congratulate someone about (lol :D) that's bound to of put some really good karma on your side. weird how things can take place, and set in place a chain of events like that. if you hadn't got called in early you probably never would have came across the two and the cabbie might not have been so lucky...
was he mad you broke the window? and yes i know it'd be pretty damn stupid to get mad over a broken window when someone just saved your ass, but i've seen stupider things...

You did an amazing thing, man. Most people would have looked away, but you put your "crown" to a good use, and helped defend a man, possibly saving his life.
Good for you, if only we were all that brave and compassionate towards others. You deserve an honor and a medal for your selfless act of heroism, bro.

That's an incredible story, Nochowder, and you were very brave! Thanks for having the courage to intervene. And thank goodness you weren't hurt or injured!
Do they know what was making the bad guy attack the cabbie? Was he drunk or under the influence of some dangerous substance (not weed, of course)?

I don't know: not all stoners are the same. Some stoners are a lot cooler than others. I thought I had made a friend because we both smoked weed. then I found out what an asshole and phony bitch he was. The week after that he called the motherfuckin cops and I was like man, you are so fuckin confused. you don't even know what side you are fuckin on. Man, kids out there: warning: just cause someone smokes pot DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE COOL; all right; find out if you have anythin in common at all, besides tokin, and go from there. "there is nothing like trying to have a good time, smokin pot; with people you just can't stand, at all - what's the fuckin point, just say no and leave"
-
A very scary experience...
Thanks for the comments people! Much appreciated.
GetDown: The cabbie had a nasty cut above his left eyebrow, and 2 black eyes, one swelled shut. He was hurting, but nothing compared to the attacker. He went to the hospital, same with the attacker, and they just checked me at the scene just as routine, and I just went home. Smoked a huge bowl, watched Harold and Kumar, then fell asleep for 4hrs. :p
Birdgirl: Yes, the man as it turned out was under the influence of m**h. I heard the cabbie tell the whole story to the police officer. It turns out, the man started cursing at the cabbie for no reason. The passenger then told him he did not have enough money for the entire ride, so the cabbie pulled over, the passenger got more angry, started calling him racial terms, the cabbie told him to get out, and they started arguing. That's what I heard, was all the yelling from inside the cab. Then I saw him grab him around the neck as the passenger was in the back seat, and the rest is history. He was an addict, clearly. He had a wild look in his eye. No pupils at all, shrunk down to nothing.

MR. CHOWDER! I HAVE A QUESTION *immitates the press*
so how does it feel to be a modern day hero?
-

Thats a crazy story. Way to fuck him up. Racist piece of shit.
-
A very scary experience...
That's very scary! That substance is a very scary one.
Three of my carpool buddies and I were getting into the car in the parking garage about four days ago one afternoon down at our medical school. It was my car, and I was just starting to buckle my seat belt when a person banged on my window. I looked up and it was this skeleton-thin, tweaked-out m**h-head (my guess), and the look in his eyes was terrifying. He was so high he almost didn't look human, especially his eyes. The medical school is down in the Dallas hospital district, and there's a large population of street people and addicts down there to go to the various clinics or just do some panhandling. This guy, I gather, camps out regularly in the garage. He wasn't asking for money, which surprised us. He was saying he'd left something inside the car, which wasn't true because it had been locked all day long and we could tell he hadn't been inside it. We didn't let him in to look, of course, and quickly backed out and left. But he was one scary dude.
