Well, I'm finding my self really needing a break and I'm wondering how many times this is gonna happen to me. I'm thinkin about taking a break because I really don't think my lungs like all this smoke exposure. But then it leaves me wondering..how many people out here are like me and smoke everyday more than once? Also how many times do you take a break a year if any?
Easiest way is if you don't have any money, so you can't buy any.
Maybe put all your cash in the bank, so you can't take it out (as you're under 18) and just wait until you can save up more money? Should take long enough to reduce your tolerance. (since you don't have a job)
the only breaks i take are the ones where im dry, but then ill ask a friend to smoke me out so i guess i dont really take breaks
Breaks are good things. Or you could buy a vaporizer as it is easier on the lungs.

unfortunately, i don't have the power over me taking breaks.... i just alot of times can't find weed.
i try not to smoke on weekdays, i mean once or twice wont kil but i usually stick to the weekends. it makes the high sooooo much better, no tolerence is great. you save money, have more fun, your not burnt out for school, PLUS you have a weeks worth of weed crammed into 2 or 3 days of amazingness!
why NOT take breaks?
nope i dont take breaks i usually smoke 6-10 times a day depending on how im feeling. My lungs dont seem to bother me so i have no reason so stop.
I take breaks every now and then, but what I usually do is dramatically lower the amount of weed I smoke for a month or so.
I take breaks, not cause I want to.
When I first got caught, I told my parents I would quit till summer...for some reason. So I stopped for the last few months of school, then started again.
Now I'm takin' a break cause I got random drug tested in school and now they will test me every time, if I test positive again I have to do like 20 one hour sessions and shit, it will pretty much be rehab. I might be able to get out of the extra-curricular activity I'm in though, so they can't test me. See, my school signed EVERYONE up for "skillz USA" even though most won't ever participate in the competition just so they can test us.
well i got cought in school and im bbeing tested for the next three months. so yea... ive got a long break ahead of me:(
I take breaks from smoking weed everytime I'm asleep. Seriously, I'll be asleep so it's really difficult to pack a bowl and light it. but as soon as I wake up... break time is over, now get back to smoking!
If it were up to me I'd be smoking 24/7 all year long, and I would never take breaks. But unfortunately, money and the fickle world of dealers often force me to stop. Like right now. I've been stone sober for several days, except earlier today I smoked a bowl of random crumbs I found on my desk and then scraped some resin out of the bottom of my bong with two paper clips taped together. Desperation is a bitch. It's okay though, I'm getting some weed tomorrow morning. I can't fucking wait.
The only real advantage I can see to taking breaks is the fact that it lowers your tolerance. But if you have enough weed that you don't have to take breaks, it doesn't matter how low your tolerance is.
I don't really see how taking a break would help your lungs if you smoke a lot of pot. It sounds rather like a fat person going on a diet for a couple weeks a year. It just isn't going to help a whole lot.
I took a break when I was in prison back in the 90s and then again when I was in drug rehab in 2000. Yes, I lived a fucked up life back then but, no more. I am a good guy that has a license to get high from the State of Kalifornia and I smoke every day all day from the minute I wake up until the last bong hit at 8:30pm. But I wake up every night around midnight and do another bong hit that holds me over until I get up around 5:30 or 6:00 am.
So I guess I take a break of almost 6 hours each day.
I break for a few weeks about 3 times a year. When I'm not on break I'm a daily smoker, usually 2-3 times a day but just a few hits of good stuff for each session. The breaks give me a chance to clear my brain a bit, give my lungs a time out, and reset my tolerence.
Yeah me either, I'm never broke so I usually am forced to take them when I can't find any. Wow I guess I'm fucked when I get my own home grown, I'm gonna smoke until it's all gone lol! :stoned:Quote:

the trick is not to smoke too much
if u limit yourself to about one bowl a session(among 3 friends) then thats really all u need and then since u didnt smoke so much u get just as high later on when u smoke again.
i guess if i had to take a break i would but as of now i have a pretty steady flow of really good stuff

Ever since the winter, I was a daily smoker, then, in July, I had to go visit my relatives in another state, so I didn't have any weed. It was the first time I had been out of bud, and it was for 8 days. I couldn't get to sleep easily, and it was not very fun. I drank some of the nights, so I wouldn't be sober, and get to sleep, but still.
When I finally got back, I smoked some mid-grade, and was back to smoking daily. Now the only time I take a break, is only a few days at most, since I get weed once a week. It's only if I run out before it's time to go back and get more, that I'm out of weed. Lately, I've been really good at conserving mine to last me the whole week.

i only smoke on the weekends and i feel like my lungs need a break too im gonna try to take this weekend off, and i want my tolerance to go down that is another reason i want a break
I tend to take breaks every now and then for about four to five days (typically due to college). The weekends during those weeks are awesome though, my tolerance is much lower and it's a lot of fun.
i only smoke on weekends to concentrate on my studies;)

I break when I'm poor or if i feel i've been really abusing it over a long period of time.
I have no tolerance, so i havnt taken a break for 4 years, smoked everyday for 4 years without exception.

I never take brakes.
I usually just don't have money on the weekdays to get herb with. I mostly stick to the weekends unless I have some left over into the weekdays.
On a smoking day, I usually smoke 1/2 to 3/4 a gram.
