Almost told my Mom is smoke... BY ACCIDENT!

So just a few minutes ago I'm in the kitchen making some juice when my Mom comes home. She is unloading stuff when she says "I got you some rolling papers." I FREEZE. All I can think is holy christ she knows I smoke! So I'm thinking should I tell her? Should I say that I don't smoke and call her a liar, ask what kind of papers she got or just drop the juice and run for it.

I'm about to mutter something along the lines of "Why would I need rolling papers?" when i turn around and from her purse she pulls the coin rolling papers I had asked her to get from the bank last week so that I could roll my loose change!

Something of a pointless thread and I'm laughing about it now, but I almost gave it all away. I was shitting my pants :o

lol sometimes I almost find myself saying weed or smoke instead of certain things like "hey mom do you need weed?" instead of like "hey mom you need paper towels?" or something. One time I almost asked my teacher if I could go smoke instead of piss.

I have to stop myself from telling my parents about what happened when I smoked the previous night.

Terrible advice. Who the fuck volunteers for possible punishment or having your parents look at you like a junkie for the rest of your life. Plenty of people go their entire life without their moms walking in on them jerking off, why is it any different with smoking cannabis.

last summer i was in the car with my dad passing rural area and talking about farming and landscaping, his teenage job that he did in high school. he was saying something about wheat growing, and i knew we were discussing wheat but and in my head i was thinking about growing weed out in this little nook i saw far away (still thinking of going back), and to come back into the conversation i said "so what's the profit per season on weed er... (i laughed awkwardly) wheat.. wheat growing..?"

he sat there silently probably a second (but it felt like an eternity) laughed a little bit and told me the answer. we never discussed that event since. i dont plan on bringing it up again either!

wow thank god my mom and i always smoked together.
she figured that i was gonna do it anyway so she would rather me do it in the safety of my own home then outside. she is my best smokin' buddie i swear. we sit around the table, pass a j, then fill a few bowls and talk and laugh so much.
i love tokin with my dad in south florida too. he is a rock and roller and we smoke a socket. (after an old man stole our bowl? he went to the tool box, took a wrench socket out, put some choreboy metal sponge in it and smoked. so we sit up late, play guitars laugh and pass the socket. i love my parents.

meh mostly he's right, some may go their whole life not getting caught, but for the most part, everyone gets caught... some way or another, either they find something, or they have their suspicions (for good reason red eyes, laughing, chink eyed, unable to walk straight, eating everything.. ect ect.) they catch you in the act, hear it from other people or you ust give yourself up by accident.... might as well get it over as soon as you can so you can relax about it... these days more and more parents are accepting it... even if they might not agree with it, they know they can't change it... some try, but usually always fail.

im not gunna get caught, im too sneaky,

guys i just want to let you know from experience that if you're living with your parents, and you're smoking around the house regularly (more than 2-3 times a week) and you still think you'll never be caught, you think you have everything under control, let me tell you, you're living in a dream world. there are many strings attached with marijuana smoking and many are noticeable to parents (smell on you and in your area of smoking, your eyes, leaving things around the house, starting to smoke when you think they're asleep and they're not).

The point is, we ALL get caught. the sooner you can come to accept and expect it, the stronger and better prepared you can make your argument when they actually do walk in on you smoking or call you out on it.


a parent who was previously against cannabis use goes through these stages:
extreme anger
extreme disappointment
sadness
acceptance
change of perception on the drug

you need to let the first 3 blow over (you can literally watch your parents move through these stages and see the transitions visually) then when you think your parents have calmed down, start your argument on cannabis use. don't try convincing them in the other stages, it's worthless.

the trick to talking your parents into the non-negative association of marijuana involves finely tuned bullshiting skills. You have to talk them into circles that seem to lead to no other conclusion than your own. Works every time if you know how to make it sound ok through use of words with positive connotation, good eye contact, and use of good vocabulary that makes what you say sound valid because you are confident in what you are saying.

when my daughter grows up and if she starts tokin', as long as she keeps her grades up and doesnt fuck around, i dont care. like my mom did with me, she let me do it only in the house, and that made it better because i was able to chill and not have to sneak outside and get hurt and stuff. and the trust she had in me and the freedom she gave me made me realize that it was for my own safety and i repsected her and only did it in her house.
i mean, parents need to realize that kids are gonna do it the fuck anyway.

I got a question for all you experienced with dealing with being caught. Every time some subject about drugs comes up, like huffing comes up in the news or somethin, my dad always says the same thing, "People are just dumb, if they really wanted to get high that bad they should just smoke some pot you know?" It's weird its like he's saying, "dont do drugs, but if you really just need to get high dont do something stupied, just smoke some weed," What do you all think? I know my parents know i already drink occasionally, and they arent strict at all. Also every time i go out they say, "dont drink...and drive." Recently i started smoking often (1-2 times a week) im just wondering how I should handle it if i ever get caught.

On another note my older bro is different. He has never smoked, and always looks down on it, thinks people who smoke are idiots. I never told him i smoked, but it seems like he might know. How should i handle that?
