i see ur using the hydro! sure the roots are geting any water?! at all ?....
See that ring? It is a drip system, so the answer is yes, they do get nutrients. I am his friend and have seen the system, and the roots get plenty of nutrients when it drips. One clone from my plant was in his system, but had died from the solution, its been watered down, and I think these seedling/clones are bigger and can take the solution better. So far they look good, besides a few burns they have. We will try to keep pictures posted. This is my plant, Eve, the momma of many of the clones, it lived with only shitty sunlight for a long time, but it is now in hydro and with better lighting and is making immense progress.
i see you have mastered thte art of topping young grasshoppa. You show one plant look like two an a half plant. You will pay

Eve is the bringer of beautiful sweet luscious ripe fruit ....salivating now i cant continue
its beautiful
oh baby yeeeeeeeeeeaaah
Yes, Eve has turned into a beauty, her fruits will blossom and I will take the cherry! She is my love, my creation! MY PRECIOUS!!
the plants get a diluted dose (that includes 3 gal. brita water, ph about 6.4, i got low concentrations of ionic grow, Fossilfuel, and Nitrozime and mist spray water when i remember. dry drip system just 2 weeks old
Yumans: We are smoking(tobacco) now i thought?
well from yesterday they seem still really green but i have bad news, brace yourself, eve2 is dead and i had to flush her
Reply or die
no im no crazy you just think in am
beautiful arent they?
Nice ones! I'm thinking of cloning my plant, never done it before but i beefed up on info and I think i can manage it.
dojadave give the cloning a try,i took clones for the first time a week or so back, dipped em in clonex rooting hormone and popped em in to rockwool cubes-put them into a propagator under flouros,10 days later(today) there rooted and ready for potting as you can see from the few pics :)
1st pic is the donor plant
2nd pic,clones in propagator
3rd pic,rooted clone
4th pic,potted :D
Excellent work! I have one plant I grew from a bag seed and luckily it turn out female. Im 1 1/2 week into flowering and I guess nows is a good time to clone. Did you take cuttings from the top area of the plant or the bottom? If I had a decent camera i'd take a picture, all I have is my camera phone and it suks.
i took the clones from around the middle of the plant but i wasnt to fussy about it,just got my blade and chopped away,im taking the chance cloning this WW as its grown from a single seed i was given, hopefully will find out in a few days maybe a week as the mother(hopefully)got put into flower yesterday so ill find out soon if this effort was worth the bother but either way i see it as a bit of experience
you dont want to clone too late in the plants life cycle(flowering). Need good, healthy, FEMALE(FIND OUT BY TOPPING, little white hairs at nodes) plant in vegging stage and cut stem(45 degree angle) of healthy branch w/new leaves at top as well as a pair jus starting to form at tip. Clip off lower fan leaves leaving just the stem and two sets of leaves at crown, dip in rooting hormone(follow directions) Put in fluoros 24 hrs in moist tray(dome) root appear in 10-15 days, then plant
Well, I just made my first attempt at cloning, I hope i didn't screw anything up.I made 6 cuttings, each cut at a 45 degree angle, cut the fan leaves and left three sets of leaves, dipped them in hormone anti fungal rooting powder and placed them in rockwool cubes in a domed tray. What type fluro should i use and how many? Right now I put one 18" 15w fluro high in blue, will this be enough? Also, should I keep the vents open on the dome or closed? How often, at all, should I mist them?
dojo you might be ok with those flouros as the plant and clones you see in my pics were all done under 2x14 watt cool white flouros in a carboard box!
keep the vents closed on your dome mostly but open now and again or even remove the lid for a bit,as for the misting i never misted the clones i just sprayed the inside of the dome with water a good few times a day as it can dry up quickly under the light so keep an eye on it.make sure the leaves of your clones aint touchin the sides of the dome as it happened with 1 of mine and the leaf is suffering a little, also try not to spray so much that the water will drip from the dome onto the clones below.if you soaked your rockwool over night you shouldnt have to worry about watering until they are rooted and ready for the pot.
i checked my WW tonight and i got myself a lady!!3 days on 12/12 and got the result i was after so the clones were worth doing.i took the clones 7-8 days before putting in flower. your clones might droop and wilt but they will spring back and head for the light in a day or 2.
take it easy man
Thanks for the info bro! I checked on the clones today, they look like they're responding well to the light, no droopage yet. I'm gonna add one more 15 watt fluro just to make sure..Congrats on your lady WW!!
nice 1 dave, the extra 15 watt will make a difference with them,i chopped the top off 1 of my supperskunks today (44 days flower) about 60%-70% of the hairs were orange so i decided to cut just the top off!!
the bud is the length of my arm as you can see in the pic, although it aint that fat,but im pretty happy with it for bein my first time growin, ive learned from my mistakes in this grow and hopefully i can get a better result from the WW and its clones...
things i learned in first grow.
1.always use pots atleast double the size you think will be needed
2.TOP your plants
3.dont spray leaves every 3 days with anti-pest spray when you dont have any pests!!
4.take it very easy with ferts,(the soil i used was bio-bizz all-mix,no need to fert for the first 4-5 weeks)!! then start with 1/4-1/2 of recommended strength..............
im sure ill think of a few more but they dont spring to mind!
Okay, lets see if anyone can answer this. With my nice bigger plant posted above, Eve, there is her clone, only about 3 inches tall, with 5 sets of leaves. I kind of want to put Eve into flowering, but since tehy are in the same hydro system, that would mean putting little 3 inch baby Eve into flowering. Should I wait until she grows a little more, or will she grow quite a bit during flowering?
yumans i dont have the experience to say if its ok to put clones into flowering at 3" tall although i can say im planning on leaving mine until there atleast 10"
if you took a few clones you could try putting just 1 into flower and see how it responds although i reckon you wouldnt get much bud out of it.
weve all gotta just give it a try and learn from our mistakes! :)
let me know if you decide to give it a try
True, maybe ill do that, flower it now so as to know what happens:)
all 4 clones have rooted now and have been put into 5&1/2" pots where they will spend 2 weeks before going into 11.5 litres pots,i will send a pic later i cant be arsed just now :)
dojadave, how are those clones of yours getting on??
yumans did you decide to put 1 of your baby clones into flower??
Well, Its been about 4 days now, all 6 of them seem to be still kicken. The tips of some of the leaves have turned yellow, just the tips though, not sure if this is normal or not. I havn't misted them or anything, the cubes still look very moist and theres condensation built up on the sides of the trey dome. The mother plant is about 2 weeks into flowering and it looks great!! I dont have anything to produce CO2 though, other then myself, I deffinitely need to look into that..Hey nice arm length bud by the way!!
On a totally unrelated note, i'm starting a shroom grow, thinking maybe the CO2 from them might help the clones out? Anyway, it should be fun juggling poth projects!
"all 4 clones have rooted now and have been put into 5&1/2" pots where they will spend 2 weeks before going into 11.5 litres pots"
Yo, you shouldn't put your plants through the stress of more than one transfer, put it right into the bigger bowl first time you transfer, theres no reason to have a medium sized bowl. And yes, I've put my plants into flower, including clone Eve(who is now 6 inches tall). Ill take some pictures later today and post, right now its chronocizing time
yumans ive got a big problem with space and i have no way of puttin them straight into 11.5 litre pots, its my only option till i get another grow room,i might be giving 2 of my clones to a m8 to help me out with space
where are those pics m8?
Okay, here is Eve. My camera isnt the best and did not capture her beauty very well, but she is alot more impressive in person:). Although it could be me just being a proud father. Theres a picture of her roots too.
Just curious, once clones start to root, transfered to pots, and you've had them on a 24/0 light cycle, can you switch them to a 18/6 light cycle? or should you keep them in 24/0 till flowering?
As long as your plant gets at least 14 hours of light a day, it will continue to vegate.
If you have fluorescent lighting, 24/7. HID, better reduce to 18/6 Give your plant a break from all the intense lighting, I think they'll probably thank you for it.
Reports have been all over the place saying HID lamps on 24/7 cause plants to grow better, as well as grow worse.. However, fluroescent lighting doesnt produce nearly the amount of lumens or color spectrums as HID, so 24/7 is great for them.
Go with your best judgment, give both a shot in the future to find out yourself.
if anyone disagrees, please argue with me, for Im not a professional
Well guys, I just discovered that one of my six clones has rooted, the other ones seem to be lagging if not dying. The one that rooted has perky leaves that have practacally no yellowing, while the others have yellowing tips and somewhat droopy.. The yellowing doesn't extend passed the tips though. Its been about 7 days since I cut them. Anyway, I hope the rest come through.
So from Here I guess I just transfer to a pot with potting soil. I have Soil at 7.0 ph and i'm gonna be using 5 gal plastic pots. Not sure how much I need to water on the transfer, gonna do some research on that right now. Should I place a small fan on a newly transfered clone to build the stalk and ventalation? or should I give it some time to recover? Anyway if you guys have time, I would appreciate any info! thanks!
soak the soil well with plenty water before transplanting and dont worry about watering for over a week or so depending on the strength of your lights, you can place a fan near them but not directly hitting the plant as it could cause it to fall over and give you something else to worry about!
take it easy m8
Thanks for the info WG78!
I Planted that one clone the other day and seems to be doing well, it has new growth on it. I just took a look at the clone dome and I have two more that have rooted, so thats 3 total so far out of 6. I'm gonna plant those in a few mins. The other three i guess will follow soon, but I'm stoked just to get 3 out of the whole process. I think I'm just gonna stick to using 18" Fluors for now till they get a little bigger. I have the mother flowering under 4 4' shoplights right now, all set up like a pyramid surrounding the plant. Each lamp has one cool white and one wram white. Should I strickly use warm white for flowering or is it good to have a combination of warm and cool light?
dave i think it will be ok to have a combination of both warm and cool light although you want more of the cool white while there in veg and more of the warm for flowering, your lights should be about perfect for them, well done with the clones bro,the 4 i took are doing great although 1 of them is struggling a little and im pretty sure its because that 1 i let the girlfriend do it and she touched the freshly cut end before putting it in the cloning gel which i about bit her head off for doing it lol, happy growin m8 ;)
Awesome, thanks again for the help!
I managed to get 4 out of six clones rooted and planted. Cant wait for the mother to finish flowering, got a long ways to go still.
Kay, updated pictures of Eve, my beautiful baby girl, shes about to hit puberty, and shes a virgin, stayin that way:). Yes, that is all her except a very little bit on the bottom next to her, if u can tell.
