weed poison the brain?

hey. so on another forum there was a discussion about the mj amendment in colorado. i of course started defending mj. one guy compared it to snakes venom because they are both natural. i said that weed isnt toxic. then this other guy said this

"WTH do you think it gives you the effects it does? Because it's a mineral supplement? No, because it's poisoning your brain, the same as alcohol, tobacco, cocaine and anise seed."

so my question is, does week poison your brain? i would be very surprised if it did, but i dont know the chemical/biological side of it. thanks

Water is more poisonous then Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol, and all the other cannabinoids found with cannabis.

Another thing i bet they'll try and say is cannabis kills brain cells...

Well, it doent. It kills cancerous cells, but it does nothint to healthy cells.

Hes not saying that, its complex biology that none of us (me included) understand. I asked my mum, a biochemist, and she basically said that it means that it cannot kill you.

I had one arguement with one person once, and they kept saying cannabis kills, I say, give me an example then. They told me they knew someone, who smoked pot then drove their car. They had an accident and they died in the accident......:mad: THAT was their arguement...so fuckin lame. A made up story where the accident killed the person, not the cannabis. If the person was sober and had the accident, would you say, oh, being sober must have killed them.

Just ignore them because they will never go away.

Technically if it's true that THC is used to basically give the small animals and inscects an effect before it can damage the seedpod, giving it time to ripen then it is a poison.

Now it might be considered a poison for animals but we as humans are probably ten times the size of the creatures that disturbs the plant, plus we have enough sense not to fuck with a flowering cannabis plant, we'd be wanting to smoke it so we know when to mess with it :D. so instead of making us hella confused like the creatures it's probably just pleasurable to us, until we get too much in us of course, then I would consider it a poison haha.
