Nevadians and Coloradians....let us know...ohhh the drama!
I hereby declare this thread better than Snakes on a Plane.
Well...the results should be in soon...at least I think.
go to cnn.com and you can keep track of how they're doing. CO doesnt look too good so far
Only if a Republican declares "I want this muther fuckin' pot, out of this mother fuckin state!"Quote:

According to cnn's website, only 1% of precincts have been counted, so maybe things may improve for Colorado residents.
Even though I live in Colorado, I'm really holding out for Nevada's law, it has the possiblity to bring the entire federal government anti mj stance vs. reality to a head, in court of course...
We'll all see tomorrow.

You would be surprised how quick that shit can change though.
I just hope it does change...if not we'll just have to wait. I mean, this is pretty close...younger generations are sure to support it more, so eventually it should be legalized.Quote:

We lost nevada and colorado
you can't simply look at the percentages at this point, you have to pay attention to the "polls reporting" percentage. it could be that the 20% of the polls were in conservative areas. i still have hope that both pass, but especially question 7. once everyone sees how much money it makes and how positive it is for everyone, i bet a lot of states will add it to the ballot in 2008.
Ya and dont forget absentee ballots, they dont make a huge difference, but i bet most of them have voted yes since i would imagine a lot of stoners liking the idea of not leaving the house to vote
It will be on the ballot again...
Nothing lost, yet nothing gained except Nevada and Colorado know it is something inevitable now.
Look at the percentages! I think its awsome...
Other states will follow suit in time.
You think more states will put this on their ballot? I hope...cuz i was thinking it might do the reverse, Nevada is one of the most liberal states i thought, and i'm scared that if it fails then the govt will say "see, even nevada doesn't want MJ legalized, so shut up about it"....but i think im wrong, cuz ya, even if it doesn't pass, thats almost half the state that wants it legalized, thats a big number
personally, i thought california was one of the most liberal <.<
Yeah, but it might be a while...
ironic, isn't it?
We posibly lost, Thoe theres always hope that one day it passes.
well colorado lost pretty bad, 61/39 and nevada has 85% of polls reporting at 44% Yes and 56% no and its not looking hot. not one precinct has had more people vote yes on it. maybe in 2008? *sigh*
how can we bring this onto the california ballot in 2008??? And i looked at who voted NO the most, damn republicans...
0-2
0-3, south dakota's medical marijuana bill didn't pass either
south dekota was close though 48% really isnt that bad. I bet if they put it on again it will pass
It seems that the only way cannabis is going to be legalized is for the federal government to make it legal, there's just waaaaaaaaaaaay too many stupid americans.
That's the thing with these close ballot initiatives, the people behind them will just keep submitting them to the ballot year after year until they do pass, it's how Missouri got riverboat gambling, they just kept putting it on the ballot and marketing, and eventually, it passed.
If the SAFER group in CO keeps their collective chin up, they'll take pleasure in the fact that they got 40% of the vote, which to me is incredible, and now it'll take some serious marketing, not just debates, to cross the >50% threshold.
People that think that Colorado is a liberal state don't live here.
Personally, I think a law like the one proposed in Colorado is kinda vacuous if there isn't a method for legally aquiring mj, which there wasn't so hopefully the group in NV will keep plugging along too.
And drug dealers rejoice! The conservative voters have kept you in business! Now go sell their kids some dank.
Agreed!Quote:
