I change my answer from time to time cause im not a frequent smoker but i do smoke. If i do say yes it i think everyone thinks im saying it to be cool.

It depends who I am talking too. If a professor asked me that I usually say no, but i did get into one really good convo with a professor at my school about smoking. But anyway, it depends who is asking. Usually I'm open about it, but when someone is in control of your grades it is sometimes best to just keep your mouth shut and not give them a reason to be a dick.
Well I mean people don't generally ask if I am a stoner...
....and in my town...pretty much everyone's a stoner.
If someone were to ask me I would be like..Why the hell do you care?
I have 3 different answers I use. If its someone I don't know very well but can't get me in trouble I say I smoke for panic attacks and other pain which is true it just isnt the full truth. If it's someone I'm going to be smoking with or selling to I tell them the truth that I smoke every day. If its someone at work I always say no because I dont want to get fired
I usually reply with this, " am I a stoner? No, but I do smoke bud from time to time."
If I say yes, they will think it is because I want to be cool or whatever.
Does anyone really think people claim to be stoners to be cool? Is that really something that goes on???

Honestly it depends who it is. I'm very open with it but not to the point of when it can get me in trouble.
Nobody has ever asked me if I was a stoner, but people have asked me if I smoked or "passed to left." Not just strangers, but co-workers, new people, you know, and I always say yes. I have nothing to hide.
If it came to a job though I'd probably say no for obvious reasons, but how many interviewers are going ask if I smoke weed, you know.
All depends on who it is. Obviously some people would care and I wouldn't wanna be like "yeah I smoke weed" if a teacher asked, although I straight up told one of my teachers today that I smoke every night, I'm sure she already knew, but my friend was like "haha mike got drug tested and is gonna have to go to drug classes" or something so my teacher was like "seriously mike you gotta quit" and I was like "Honestly I smoke every night, my grades are fine, it helps me sleep and is a nice way to relax" and she said "you don't wan't boobs do you" and me and my friend were like "it doesn't give you boobs!" etc. but shes cool and wouldn't get me in trouble, besides I either passed that test or not...
A girl in that class asked me later if I do drugs so I was like "yeah i smoke weed". I'm a proud stoner. Of course I would lie to certain authorities if asked. But random people, yeah I'm proud to smoke the ganj.
who asks that kind of thing?? people know often without me telling. and if they do ask, thye go about it more like "do you smoke pot?' and i say "iheck yes, maryjane is the sister i never had " or "yes" or "everyday!". you know, something like that. asking someone if they are a stoner is kinda rude, that word carries such a bad connotation. i prefer CANNABINAUT:thumbsup:
As many people have stated before it depends on who is asking. My family ( all but my grandparents) I say yes I smoke weed. I recently went to the doctor and the nurse asked me if I do any drugs and I told her I smoke and she was like you look like a Mary Jane girl and smiled at me real big. I think she tokes too. If it concerns a job or the police I act like I have never done drugs in my life and act offended because they asked me such a question.
I always say yeah..but i rarely get asked tho, so i dont care.
I don't get asked, and when people find out I smoke weed they are ussually shocked. I like da herb damnit! :) I hate when people change there opinion of me when they find out I smoke weed, just because I smoke weed doesn't make me any less or more of a person :) I am who I am regardless of weed, take it or leave it :) lol

Of course, but to some people, unfortunately, that word has some negative connotations...lazy, stupid, watches TV all day, etc.
People usually don't ask "are you a stoner"? It's usually more like "so do you smoke reefer? Cool man, wanna blaze?"

my boss asked me straight up when I first started working
I didn't get a drug test and I already knew some stoners there so I just said ya, I do, but on my own time
she said ok and we went back to work
and all was well
I really don't care much to hide it, if I'm not hurting myself or others than there is nothing wrong with what I'm doing
I have a big pot leaf tattoo on my right arm and will not wear a pair of pants that are not Levis and only wear T shirts but if they ask me if I am a stoner I tell them to kiss my glorious golden ass as I light up and walk away.
when I see bumperstickers that say "Are You Stoned, or Just Stupid ?", ... I get, .. duhhhh, confused ... :D
i usually don't admit to smoking if asked unless its at a party, and i have never really been asked by someone randomly. two of my adult (40+) coworkers and i had a conversation about smoking after watching an anti-pot commercial and both told me they used to smoke when they were younger and both said they loved it, but i just tell them i stay away from it since my job has a pretty strict drug policy. but as long as i don't go to work stoned, which i never do, i'm alright. these days, admitting to smoking changes most people's perspective on you, which is sad.
lol i always say yes, why not? theres no need to be paranoid - (obviously you gotta say no to certain people,) i remember a little while back me and a couple friends got stopped by a random policeman, we had literally JUST stopped smoking, and it was obvious we had been smoking it because we all looked completely fucked and it stunk like weed lol, he asked me if we had been smoking cannabis, and my friends were gonna try to deny it, so i was like 'yes sir, yes we have' - my friends shit their pants lol, then the guy told us he used to do it with his friends when he was young, and said he wasnt gonna bother doing anything about it, he told us not to do it in public places and we agreed we wouldnt, then he told us to move on and went on his way, of course, this was a strike of luck... DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!!! lol
