Which is better Mom & Pop resturaunts or Commercial Chains when ya got the munchies

IMO I think going to the local Mom & Pop resturaunts are better cause theres something about how they cook their food. They are more friendly with their customers and even when its from subs to pizza to chicken wings. It's like they make it 10 times better and they have ya coming back for more. and not these usual food chains that will just slap anything on the grill but thats just my opinion. What does everyone else think?

small buisness all the way, tends to be better food, and better people, also usually people in places i stop in for food are people i know also so that is nice too. Screw fast food or crap like TGI Fridays, always end up eating the same crap every time, and it usually sucks. one thing about TGI Fridays that pisses me off is they only have 3 cuts of steak, and they are retarded choices, jesus christ give me some Filet Mignon you bastages!@

I prefer the "Mom and Pops" places as well. I find they are a little more money, but you are getting quality food, not burgers flash fried in pounds of grease for 30seconds. :p Plus they fill me up, like a meal should. I find fast food fills me for about 30min, then I'm ready for more. Called empty calories.

I don't even eat at fast food anymore. The closest I get to that is Subway, but no McDicks or Buger King, none of that junk.

not always teh case that it is more cash. Like there is this place down the block i go to if i am really hungry. He hooks me up with a huge plate of chicken and ribs, with french fries, rice and bread for $7 and it is usually more food than I can eat. On the other hand place right on my block makes these slamming Bacon Cheeseburgers, all fresh meat and stuff, but definately more expensive than going to burger king or something, but hey, what's a dollar or two for some kick ass eats!

I always go to McDonalds, Burger King, and Marios. The only really "mom & pop" resturaunts around me are still pretty big (mainly diners and delis).

mom and pop places all the way here, the food and price is usally better and the people that go there are more frinedly

I usually smoke at night, so when I get the munchies, the Mom and Pop places aren't open. So I tend to hit up Hardee's, Taco Bell, or Wendys.

But I prefer M&P over commercial chains, anyday.

typically i like the mom and pops places...ya its usually a little more expensive and take a little longer to prepare...but its defanitly higher quality and doesnt sit in ur stomach feeling like a pile of shit...

but...when im high nothing hits the spot like a crunch wrap supreme from taco bell....

If youve ever been to the south, and eaten in a REAL family owned country resturant, then you have experienced good cooking.

Mom and Pop all the way. We've got this place around the corner from us called The Sandwhich Mill that blows Subway or Quiznos away. The quality of ingredients is way better and you don't have to hunt for a few paper thin slices of meat. Plus they always seem to have ultra hot 20-something girls working there. No wonder they've always got a line out the door.

There's also a ton of Mom and Pop, or should I say "Mami e Papi" , Mexican places around here. Eat there once and you'll never go back to Taco Hell again. 2 lb. burrito anyone??

Small Mexican places or pub-and-grill type restaurants... it's all about the appetizers!!!!

My kitchen isn't much of a mom and pop place, but it's where I go for the best food in the city.

mom and pop places are the best! they really care about you enjoying your meal

There is an italian resteraunt here that blows my mind. It is called stephanoes. best damn pizza i have ever had.
Their spaghetti is out of this world to.

I like the shit my grandmother cooks. I just eat all that food so quick. Fast food is o.k. sometimes but I'm trying to give it a break.
